My mom rented me one of the games, and even at that early age I was like "ugh, a movie game. well, let's try it."
And I kept waiting for it to get bad, but instead I just kept getting impressed with the schoolgrounds detail.

Honestly, the Saban Adventure dub is kinda hilarious and will always have a place in my heart. Just, seeing the Japanese version, I wish they dialed back the jokes a degree or two.

Compared to the 02 dub, which was probably closer to a gag dub than even the zaniest of season 1's episodes. I still remember the movie had that scene where Davis is full on ugly crying, Willis says "get over it" and Davis is just like, "k" >_>

NGL, so far, I might like early 02 better than early Adventure. On one hand, it's a lot more "video gamey" and formulaic, what with the kids and the kaiser fighting over territorial control. But it also feels a lot more action-packed and exciting.

There's also this sort of slice-of-life undertone to it, since the kids aren't trapped in the digital world against their will. There's such a fun, carefree energy to these episodes.

I probably would... if I wasn't so intimidated by the place. There are way too many options for coffee and I've heard about how ridiculous it can cost, I either brew my own, or go to Tims/Robins.

Not that I would ever really encourage patronizing Starbucks, but since they really don't offer anything novel compared to other coffee shops, I thought I'd just mention that you can ignore the vast majority of customization options.

The difference between things like lattes, macchiattos, cappucinos, etc, boil down to the ratio of espresso, milk, and foam. But if you like coffee drinks already, there's no reason to be intimidated away from trying any of them, because to be honest, if you like one, you'll probably at least be okay with any of the rest.

There are coffee shops that offer the same options as starbucks at a lower price, too. So if you find yourself at a local cafe or something, go ahead and just experiment lol.

The atmosphere of those early HP games were so unique. Felt like they perfectly captured the "other worldliness" of Hogwarts.

I feel like, no matter how garbage it ends up being, I almost always end up playing a Sonic game if it's available. Only main series title I haven't touched is Colors, and the only title I didn't at least try to complete is Forces.

Even among the side games, I think I only missed Black Knight and the Boom titles.

It's weird. The franchise just has such a unique game feel and I haven't found anything else that quite scratches the same itch.

Oh, is there a reason they won't give you an allergy panel? I don't know much about these kinds of things, but it seems like an innocuous enough test.

One of the reasons I like Mass Effect is the way it blends a "young" space-faring civilization (Earth) into a larger, pre-established galactic society. You sort of have these "hubs" of development and urbanization, but there's still plenty of un-tamed locations where humanity is still trying to stake its claim.

True... but audio can be mixed, eq'd, compressed, mastered etc long after it's recorded, if doesn't matter if the VAs recorded it in their closets, they're not at fault. This was such a weird oversight by whoever made the game (Atlus?) and it's really aggravating.

The VA is good as usual and yet their dialogue is being drowned out by the background music, without the settings even offering the chance for the player to adjust it themselves.

I was all set to praise this game, as it looks to be really great otherwise

Apparently, during the making of MGS Twin Snakes, they needed all new audio because if they brought the original stuff up to modern standards, you could make out the sound of traffic outside the recording studio lol

Depending on how shoddy the original recordings came out, they may only be able to do so much with it

A) I hate that they're going the origin route AND seem to be characterizing her as having something to prove. Just fucking embrace the absurdity of a teenage girl in a bat costume beating the shit out of 250 pound knee-breakers and mafia thugs.
