I agree. My current phone is one I bought a few years ago now, the Sony Xperia ZX2 Compact. It was pretty much the only "small" phone I could find at the time. Even then it was bigger than I'd probably like. If you look up small phones now they aren't so much small as they are "not comically large".

Do people seriously not realise that the point of this is to drive engagement by getting comments going "obviously the money DUH", which boost her account in the algorithm. Or even better, people screenshot it and share it outside instagram, giving her exposure beyond even the original platform.

I hate it when games force their views on me. We get it! America is good. War is good. Dogs are good. You don't have to keep going on about it in every game.

Reading this topic I realised I don't know what Mao's "atrocities" were, and this topic leads me to believe I can't find out on Wikipedia.

Yeah, Hyrule Castle was a large building to explore. Design-wise it worked just like the overworld, except it was a building.

I loved the dungeons in Breath of the Wild to be honest. The zora and goron ones blew me away. "Holy shit I can see the world moving outside, the entire building is rotating in real time". And just the concept of "the dungeons are giant mechs you explore inside" is hella cool.

Whichever one I played most recently is the best.

I can't be bothered including the 2D ones, although I will say Link Between Worlds is the best one, and Phantom Hourglass was better than Spirit Tracks.

Yeah, people have been saying this kind of stuff as long as I've been reading about games.

I always got the impression the camp fun of Resident Evil games wasn't self aware. Like, the person writing it genuinely thought it was cool.

I played the Xbox One version last year and fucking loved it, and I think that's based on the BFG edition. I can't speak for how it compares to the original through personal experience, but I still think it's great regardless. I loved exploring the environments of Mars, sifting through emails and audio logs.

I like Kaidan in 1 but he's fucking awful in 3. Just has this weird faux melodramatic hostility to Shepard. It makes sense, but it's handled terribly. All his dialogue is just him accusing Shepard of something then going "hmm I don't know...". I shot udina to save the asari councillor and Kaidan has a go at me for it for some reason?? I wish you could kill both him AND Ashley.

My lack of any new console isn't a money/availability issue. I just don't want one yet. I'll probably be after one when Starfield comes out. But at the moment, I'm not paying 450 for my games to look better.

Mass Effect 3 in the Legendary Edition on Xbox One. I don't know if the PC version always looked like this or something, but this is a massive visual upgrade over the 360 version, moreso than the other games in the Legendary Edition. Just so many more noticable effects. I just completed Omega. I dislike Aria more everytime I replay the trilogy. She feels less "powerful and ruthless" and more "entitled and petulant".

I tried Pathologic 2 on Xbox and I think it was genuinely the worst performance I've ever seen in a game on any platform. A shame. Maybe I'll try it again when I get a Series X.

Yeah. They seemed to hype up a different version of what we got. I didn't like that V is more of a spy/mercenary game than a crime one. The story is fine, but it seems you do more work for the government than anyone. The final mission is a bit of a letdown because it seems tacked on or rushed. Stuff like buying properties and such seemed to be hyped as well, but those were obviously rushed and we couldn't even get new safehouses.

Definitely. One of my biggest complaints with the game is that there's just so little criminal underworld stuff. It all feels tangential. Half the drama in IV and the expansions revolved around one bag of cocaine, whereas most of V is like something from a Bond movie, with trains blowing up and fighting tanks. I like those things, but I wish we had the low level stuff too.

I get the impression V was a bit cobbled together. It was announced as being about "the pursuit of the great american dollar", which was barely important in the story, and the game was 60% being blackmailed into doing spy stuff for the sake of having cool missions. There was loads of early info Rockstar talked about that ended up different come the final game, like "we aren't including fitness or stats". Despite having the fewest missions of any GTA game, loads of them aren't even related to the story, and the "final bosses" had barely done anything in the plot at all.

I agree. From the sounds of it Rockstar is working on GTA6 right now and has been for a few years. Meanwhile Bethesda still has to release Starfield before they even get full swing into ES6.

Mince and tatties is genuinely great though. If I could only eat one dish for the rest of my life without health concerns that'd be a contender. Just great tasty comfort food.

"oh there's no seasoning on the potatoes!" you boil them in salty water you numpty. And you mash them up with the mince anyway.

You'll have to fish through the PS4 catalogue for that. Doom, Doom Eternal, Wolfenstein The New Order, Titanfall 2, are some off the top of my head.
