My gut reaction was that the prior episode outshined the finale, but extended action scenes like this are tricky and they did it as well as could be expected. Kind of puts a bow on the whole Bobba Fett story for the moment, which, let's be honest, not many even cared about after the last two episodes of the Mandalorian.

I think Grogu really showed Mando that he was capable of assisting rather than just be someone in need of defending. It will probably take Mando a while to acknowledge that, but I look forward to seeing the transition of them working more as a team.

I also cannot wait for this Obi-Wan series. Sad there won't be a Mando cameo in it, haha, but it will provide some great lore as to what Obi Wan was up to between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

honestly he'll be in the next episode a little probably and he may not be in Mando season 3 at all or perhaps for just a very short scene. CGI Luke is perfect for a role like that.

Also, and everyone is entitled to their opinion so I'm not trying to start anything, but I feel like all this CGI Luke hate is a bit nitpicky.

What did I just watch? This is Star Wars television at its finest. I was laughing and screaming and hollering and hooting. It's like Inception all of a sudden. A show within a show within a show. Call it fan service, call it what you want, I don't care. It honestly felt like I was watching a Star Wars movie at times.

The ultimatum took me by surprise, but it does make total sense. They really want to try to cut out that attachment. But what a perfect and logical way to get them back together. Ironically, if Grogu chooses Mando, they both will have been kicked out of their clans. What a perfect pair that'd be.Can that armor fit him though? Seemed like it might be a tight fit to me!

I'm surprisingly pleased with this superbowl matchup.

Bengals are one of 12 teams that have never won a super bowl. So they get a chance to do so.

Rams have one superbowl victory as a franchise but that was in St. Louis. Never won one while in Los Angeles so that would be a first for their city (and only second time an NFL franchise has won a super bowl in two different cities).

So one way or another, in a couple weeks one city will be celebrating their franchise's super bowl victory for the first time.

As a Packer fan, it's hard reflecting on the last 30 years. Back to back hall of fame quarterbacks basically all my life. Don't get me wrong, it's been fun rooting for a winning team all my life that makes the playoffs basically every year without fail. But only 2 superbowls wins out of it is the big letdown of it all.

Packers have made 9 NFC championship games in the last 30 years. That's actually not bad at all. Something you'd maybe expect from a Favre-Rodgers combo. They've only won 3 of those games though, and then went 2-1 in the superbowls. And it's been a decade+ since the last super bowl appearance. The last decade of continuous postseason heartbreak has sucked mightily to say the least. Rodgers had a golden opportunity to lead a dynasty, but it never materialized.

Now my concern is for the first time, our bountiful Hall of Fame QB tradition may be coming to an end. If Rodgers and Adams leave, our passing offense will be nothing. Granted, the NFC North is in a bad place overall right now. The 3 other teams all have their own issues. But it's definitely sobering knowing that this could be the end of a legacy of riches for the Packers, that did everything except win championships.

I think in most situations I would trust them.

If I see them just out in public not actively engaging in anything (in line in a fast food restaurant, etc.), I wouldn't trust them any less than anyone else in line. Honestly, I would probably trust them more.

If I required their services for something (got in car accident, something got stolen from my home, etc.), I would trust them.

If I were on the engaged side (pulled over for speeding, arrested for some reason), I would probably trust them less lol.

Exactly, I know families who are eligible for basically free healthcare and they barely ever have to pay anything. Doctor visits, surgeries, prescriptions. It's crazy good coverage. And if you are poor enough, you are eligible for it.

As for everyone else, and while I agree with the comment about how it shouldnt be tied to work, the fact is that nonetheless, there are a lot of workers who get decent or even what one might consider "good" or "great" healthcare coverage through work.

Thanks to places like reddit and such, Europeans/Canadians/nonAmericans are actually starting to believe that nobody here has health insurance and we are all left to fend for ourselves with thousands of dollars of debt looming if anything goes wrong or if we want to have a baby or whatever. Yes...some people do face this problem. It definitely happens here. But it's not every person. We in America know that obviously, but the narrative has been exaggerated so much, that it's leading to some crazy misconceptions from nonAmericans.

Don't believe the lies that nobody in America has good healthcare and we all have to pay thousands of dollars to see a doctor if we have the sniffles.

Day 19 Results:

(5) A Whole New World (Aladdin) vs (2) I'll Make A Man Out of You (Mulan)19-17
Eddie Murphy is pretty great as Mushu but we missed out on his singing. There was a song called Keep Em Guessing that Mushu was supposed to sing where he shows Mulan how to be a man. Murphy refused to sing the song, and the producers ended up creating three different versions of the song in an attempt to get Murphys approval. However, it wasnt anything about the song that Murphy didnt like. He just didnt want to sing on screen. While he avoided having his own song, Murphy still ended up singing one line of music in the movie when he sang "This guy's got 'em scared to death" during Ill Make a Man Out of You.

(11) Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas) vs (4) Be Prepared (The Lion King) 20-17
Scars original villain song was going to be called "Thanks to Me" and was about Scar introducing the hyenas to the lionesses after he pronounced himself king. This idea was eventually scrapped and replaced with Be Prepared. Later on, a planned reprise for Be Prepared was also scrapped, as it seemed inappropriate following the death of Mufasa in the stampede.

One other fun fact about Alan Menken was that the only major Renaissance movie he didn't work on was The Lion King, but that's because he was busy working on Pocahontas. Both movies were being worked on at the same time, and Disney had their A team working on Pocahontas as they thought it would be the greater box office success, leaving their B team to work on the Lion King project.

Day 18 Results:

(5) Friend Like Me (Aladdin) vs (11) Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas) 17-21
Have I talked about Alan Menken yet? The guy is the composer and songwriter behind the vast majority of the songs in this contest. He wrote and composed the songs for most of the Renaissance movies and beyond. Hes won so many awards, I cant even list them all here without making this blurb a page long. Disney movie music would not have been the same without him.

But what I do want to share is what he said about the late, great Robin Williams, who was the voice of Genie in Aladdin: We didn't know who was going to play the genie when we wrote the song (Friend Like Me). We were looking at the character as black, a hipster, and I suggested a Fats Waller, Harlem stride-piano style from the '40s. When Robin Williams was suggested, my first thought was, 'Can he sing like Fats Waller?' Robin learned every note. He was working on Hook at the time, and he would come in after being stuck in a harness all day and sit at the piano and learn. When we went into the studio, we got exactly the Fats Waller performance we wanted, and then everyone said, 'Okay, but now can we let Robin do his thing?' He was amazing. That trumpet wah-wah-wah was supposed to be from an instrument, and he made it vocal. He took ahold of the creative process, both on that and 'Prince Ali' especially. My God, he went crazy on 'Prince Ali.' He was doing the Thanksgiving Day Parade, Arab-style.

(4) Be Prepared (The Lion King) vs (7) Reflection (Mulan) 21-18
Did you notice how short of a song Reflection is? It actually was intended to be a longer song, but was edited to be shorter for the final cut. For those who are curious, below is a video of the full song, with storyboard drawings for the cut out parts:

Day 17 Results:

(5) A Whole New World (Aladdin) vs (7) Let It Go (Frozen) 26-10
Frozen was a movie that was 70 years in the making. Its origin story is The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen, and Walt Disney had "dreamed" of adapting it since as early as 1937. The story never felt quite right, and it was put aside until the 90s, when Disney tried again to get the project off the ground. However, it wasnt until 2008 that the story finally started coming together, and as you all probably know, their original intentions of making Elsa the villain of the story changed after the song Let it Go was written. And the rest is history

(5) I See the Light (Tangled) vs (2) I'll Make A Man Out of You (Mulan) 12-23
Did you know Rapunzel and Flynn made a cameo appearance in Frozen? You can see them walking among the town people early on in the movie.

Some other fun facts heading into the quarterfinals:

Despite a wildly different bracket from last contest 10 years ago, 5 of the 8 quarterfinalists are the same.

Mulan had just two songs entered into this tournament. Both have made it to the quarterfinals. Mulan ties Aladdin with the most songs left at 2.

Welcome to the Best Animated Disney Movie Song Tournament!

Welcome to the Quarterfinals! Shockingly, all four 1 seeds were defeated in Round 3, failing to make the quarterfinals. Wow.

Be Prepared, last contests champion, is also the last villain song left in the contest.

Day 16 Results:

(1) Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid) vs (4) Be Prepared (The Lion King) 16-19
The Lion King has gone through quite a few changes since its original script. The Lion King's original script featured Scar as a lone lion, unrelated to Simba, who was in charge of a pack of vicious baboons. In this version, Rafiki was written as a cheetah and Timon and Pumbaa were both friends with Simba from the start. Oh yeah, and the movie itself was originally going to be called King of the Jungle.

(6) Circle of Life (The Lion King) vs (7) Reflection (Mulan) 17-18
Christina Aguileras singing career was launched thanks to Mulan. In late 1997, her new music producer got a call from a friend at Disney looking for a young singer who could belt a certain hard-to-hit note: a high E above middle C. He asked Aguilera, who recorded herself singing the same note in Whitney Houstons I Want to Run to You and sent the tape off to Disney. It landed her the gig of singing a pop version of Mulans Reflection that Disney could (and did) release as a single, which was so successful that Aguilera's record label RCA decided to fund her debut album. Later, Aguilera would call that high E the note that changed my life.
