The fact that all of these are Sega (or sega inspired in the last one) is purely coincidental. All of these are masterpieces. Ferarri619 posted... Phantasy Star Universe. Playing online on a private server. If you like Phantasy Star Universe consider trying Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity. Relatively recently it got English patched and IMO it is the best Phantasy Star ARPG ever made. Most of the criticism with PSP2i was that the camera was awkward to use on PSP but because the camera was operated using the D-pad, this is a non-issue in modern day. There are even mods for the game to smooth out camera movement on a right analogue stick. |

| VioletZer0 06/11/24 11:05:42 PM #29 | Both perspectives are valid. Let's take a game like Starsector. It would be a mistake to put fast travel in that game because traveling IS gameplay. The difficulties of traveling is what defines the conflict of the universe. It's what makes piracy possible. And it is the reason why ships are armed. Putting in fast travel would invalidate the game. In a game like World of Warcraft though, aside from the odd mob on the road, there is no difficulty associated with traveling. It's JUST walking. It's gameplay that is a waste of the player's time. |
