If I was a Republican, I would be attacking Kamala and the Democrats from the right. I have never, ever been a fan of the GOP and my estimation of them has continually cratered in ways I couldn't fathom in the past 10 years. I have been consistent in my advocacy for leftists positions for about a decade on this board and anyone here can dig through archives if they actually doubt my sincerity. If you want to disagree with me, go right ahead. Don't call me something I am obviously and demonstrably not. Northern Virginia is deep blue and that is never going to change. Having lived in Connolly's district for 7 years, I can tell you that a Republican will never, ever, EVER win that seat.

I think power hierarchies are inherently evil, but the vast, vast majority of people right and left support power hierarchies (they largely disagree over who should have power over others, what powers, etc.). I don't particularly find a left wing dictatoship to be morally superior just because the guys on top totally say they're for the people. Also you can have very, very socially regressive left wing regimes.

I do believe hierarchies are necessary to some degree for society to function. In most organizations, you need the people who do the work to follow the direction of the people managing them or else nothing will be accomplished. This is most obvious in the military, but governments and firms still need grunt workers that do what they're told.

The foundational idea of right-wing ideology is that hierarchies are natural and inherently good. The more right you get, the narrower the pyramid gets. Are hierarchies INHERENTLY evil? No. Do they very, very easily lend themselves to evil? Absolutely.
