If you're talking about Reddit, you can also post a link to your post/comment somewhere that posts and embedded view (Discord for example, most other major chat/social media platforms also do it). If you're shadowbanned the content of the post won't show up in the preview (though it can also be a post getting caught in the auto-filter).

I think because it's about power, it attracts a higher % of awful people, and it can be cut throat, so those types can be the ones that make it through the process at a higher% than the normal population. Add on to that the temptation of corruption and being spoiled with attention and immunity.

Yeah, mostly just logout works. Compare what a logged in page sees, vs a logged out.

A quick way to log out is to right click and open the page in incognito private mode. And then you swap between logged vs unlogged real quick, to see whats been hidden

Log out. Look for thing you posted in search or feed (Or use an alt account. Or ask someone if they can see your things in their feed. Shadowbans are meant to limit your visibility to others by 99 to 100%, while keeping you unaware of this, that everything is normal)

Post some questions that would be 99% chance of getting a simple reply or at least a +1 like. If you're getting no replies, you should look into investigating more

A partial shadow ban is limiting your reach, and is harder to test. It basically leaves you technically visible, but moves your content to the 10th page of search, instead of page 1. Basically, massively deranked your content)
