Are you getting the same kind of tuna? Chunk light vs albacore or yellowfin, or oil packed vs water?

The cans are a lot smaller than they used to be. Pre-2000 they were 7 ounces, now they are 5 ounces, though some are as small as 3.

Once upon a time "chunk" light tuna was actually chunky. Now it looks more like cat food.

Maybe it's just different kinds of tuna type then

Lately, when I've been making tuna sandwiches I notice the tuna is white with some pink in it so the tuna mixture is very light.

When I was younger, I distinctly remember canned tuna being more gray. Does anyone else remember that?

yep. it's going to be obscured from view with lattice i'm covering in fake plant material but it just hasn't been done yet

it can rain here - we're actually coming up on monsoon season in the summer. but i've never dealt with flooding on my property. it can get pretty muddy in a lot of areas but most areas just stay solid.

it's like a white sand beach. those are really hard to tell the depth of. i went to one when i was on a cruise and it was like 20 feet deep where i was but it looked like i could have just touched the bottom right there easily and have my head stay above water. so this is 5 feet and looks like 6 inches apparently lol

It's definitely going to be a huge benefit here because it gets so fucking hot and the closest place to swim in a natural body of water is 40 minutes away. I love just standing in water so this will be great for my psyche lmao

What I want to know is how are you going to stop it from overflowing when it rains? To me it looks like there are no drainage systems for it.

There are two skimmers and drains at the bottom of the pool.

Was going to say, with the perspective it looks more like a very clear man made yard pond, hard to tell how deep it is. It looks great in that yard though.

It looks like that because it simulates a white sand beach. I've been to a real white sand beach once and a 20 foot depth looks like almost nothing.

My goal was to have a decent sized oasis like lounge pool and I think it has succeeded.

Yes. We're trying to brainstorm a visual barrier to cut off the sand area from the view. Then I'm going to put a large garden and fruiting trees in the strip in the back so you can see the trees layered behind the pool. I also have two strips of yard on either side of my house and I need to get a shed.

Chlorine or saltwater pool? When I was living in the valley, saltwater pools were popping up more and more.

No chemicals. UV and natural substrate filtration. It has a huge medical grade UV filter and the resultant filtered water is drinkable. This area is going to be hidden soon but here are the mechanics

I mean it's 33,000 gallons of water. It's totally average. Some people even said it looks big. I think it's wonderful.

There is no retention pond for this pool. It's filtered with a UV machine and then it gets sent through another filter with natural filtration substrate.

It's not a diving pool. It's only a little more than 5 feet deep. Don't dive in my pool. But feel free to jump off the waterfall into the deeper end

5 feet or so. I didn't want a diving pool. I want a lounging pool. It also looks kind of small because of the optics of the sand and water imo they just kinda look bright and it doesn't look deep
