For the record, it was indirectly told to us that this isnt happening. Her spirit or whatever is gone, and she wont reincarnate. The crow girl told Aqua this at some point I believe.

Its awkward to mark down exactly when Ive beaten a game. Some games like this and Hyrule Warriors DE, which I also just played, have endings/credits, but then still have more that would likely be considered main story. And it doesnt feel cleanly marked as postgame.

Oh I think I heard of this stuff on Twitter. Theres like a Steam Group or something. From my understanding, its not actually doing anything wrong, but people have been giving it attention which has made it blow up more than it probably needs to. If its petty, then just ignore it and let them do their own thing.

Pro-AI translations people being right-wingers is very unsurprising. I think there are reasonable criticisms of some translation things, but AI isnt a solution for this. Its just people lashing out who want that, it feels.

I dont want to get frustrated to the point I stop playing, but having no challenge at all is pretty lame. It can be a tough balance, especially considering different people have different skill levels.

I decided to play the Ace Attorney trilogy. Different than this kind of VN, but I wanted something that felt sort of similar, and it was a good excuse to finally try those games out. I can experience the burgers myself.

Hm, so I have a slightly different opinion on Chloe now. I was suspicious that she was just secretly screwed up, and she could still be, but the Fragments more indicate a CPP occurring cause of the abuse she had when training. Id been looking around for some theories, and I felt like Gunhild was a bit too obvious, but with the 2nd to last fragment, I see now why shes being looked into more. Lilja was actually suspect to me before, but its possible I was thinking it would be more than it seems to be. A fake personality, sure, but it might be limited to that.

Yeah.

I feel like I heard that the end of this game was something of a twist. There was one thing that seemed really strange, but it didn't feel like a twist as such. It was enjoyable. I might say the ending was the least interesting bit for me though, but maybe that's because certain things end up not being expanded on or explained fully.

I still have the Data Fragments to read.

Theyve been keeping on the optimistic -> pessimistic -> optimistic pattern pretty cleanly, but I guess thats how a lot of stories are, probably not worth commenting on, but I suppose the lack of gameplay makes it more evident in a sense. Anyway, there was a terrorist attack, but I havent yet seen the ramifications besides to Lingji. Kinda curious how far I am, I checked the how long to beat, and it said around 17 hours.

I like the way this game has discussed minorities of opinion. Where bad actors can basically ruin said opinion for others, causing people to be afraid of speaking up, out of fear of being lumped in with these bad actors. Ive suffered from this, though if I do espouse opinions that go against the grain, I try to make it very clear why Im taking my position. It doesnt mean people will agree with me, but at least, even if theyre dismissive, they dont necessarily write me off as a human being.

The game uses this as a war vs antiwar thing, but Id say its written in a way that people can easily make the association for any discussion.

In this game, the bad actors are called decoys, intentionally placed, and while I wouldnt be surprised if that type of thing existed in real life, I feel like its more people who have been radicalized, even over relatively unimportant things.

By accident I just realized theres a menu button where you can look at the basic info of characters and the factions and the like. Ive gotten a bit more used to them already, but this is helpful. Especially since some of the info is more background than anything.

I feel like Umineko (again, manga reader) was at its peak by Episode 3, then 4-6 were kinda iffy, but it recovered well by 7-8. Of course, the manga is apparently much clearer about some things

Not really a VN guy, it's my first. I read the manga for Higurashi and Umineko and enjoyed them, especially Umineko, so I thought I'd check out one of the work's that has nothing like that. I'm still partway through, having just been introduced to the kings. One of those guys reminds me of Battler in terms of bodytype. I've heard that the VN has been benched for now due to world events.

Anyway, it's been enjoyable enough so far, but it threw a lot of characters at me all at once. Which, to be fair, I probably won't mind as I read more.

The he or she thing sounds distantly familiar, but I definitely used they all the time and I dont remember being corrected. Like, maybe for writing purposes? But I dunno, they is just very easy to say.

By the way, I saw someone talking about how theyd like to use AI art for making a VN and such, but have you never seen Higurashi and Umineko, for examples? The art isnt impressive, yet it still managed to garner a fanbase. Undertales sprite work is often seen as amateurish, but its like the one of the most popular indie games. Touhous art didnt start as something amazing either. I think its basically just an excuse people have, they cant afford art, and they think they cant make it, but chances are they havent tried in any serious way.

Commercially used AI would be fine if it was sourced from artists that were paid for it. People dont accept tracing as legitimate work, it gets you blacklisted, AI should pretty much be the same. If artists consent to be part of datasets, which they might if they were paid, then there wouldnt really be much of an issue on my part. The current use of AI in business is what I would consider unethical, but theres not much movement in making legislation for it.

I still havent played Part 1. I think part of me was afraid we would be transferring save files, so I didnt want to lock myself into console vs PC. Now I know it doesnt matter, so Ill probably play part 1 someday soonish, and then play part 2 when its out on PC.

The Kang in Quantumania was not the actual Kang threat and that was made clear in the movie.

Sure, but it doesnt stop people from thinking he looked pathetic, even if, again, it was justified. Thanos had mystique, and showed up when he finally got in on the action, Kang lost hard, even if it was only one of many. Im just saying how general audiences take it.

To be honest, Im pretty sure people were cold on Kang before the Jonathon Majors stuff. Seeing him get beat by a bunch of ants really hurt his image, even if part of the point is that he didnt have all his technology. Thanos failed before IW, but only through his intermediaries.
