I hate having to play on a keyboard for much more than a basic WASD control scheme; I played Doom Eternal recently on KB+M with default controls and found it to be a joyless experience. I neglected the grenade toggle until the summoner enemies were introduced because I kept accidentally hitting the weapon mod toggle when I tried to incorporate it. The most control adjusting I'm willing to do in DMC in swapping the gun button with the devil trigger button. [LFAQs-redacted-quote] If they insist on making him a convoluted piece of shit who's only good for real impact loops, he's better off dead. The only way I'll look forward to playing Dante in future games is if there's a reboot that puts the gameplay more inline with DMC1 or they just give him DMC4 Trish's moveset. |

The best move DMC could do at this point is kill off Dante and make Nero the sole protagonist. That, or go back to playing like DMC1. With Kamiya back at Capcom, the latter's a realistic possibility. |

He can't reliably close distance without constantly changing weapons and styles, whereas Nero has easy access to everything he needs including a gun that's actually useful. Instead, he gets bogged down with annoying gimmicks like the gauntlets that need to be warmed up before they're any use and a second super meter he needs to manage. Playing as him as already miserable in DMC4, and 5 did virtually nothing to fix that. |

I haven't felt compassion from the Internet in almost 20 years. GameFAQs isn't perfect, but I'm glad we've moved past 2007.The site was better back then. That's actually around the time I became a full-time user. The anime forum I primarily used was much nicer, more sincere, with a more even gender split, but lacked a lot of the humor and chaos that made GameFAQs entertaining which encouraged me to make the switch. I'm also more into gaming than anime. The anime forum gradually died due to neglect and repeated site changes, while GameFAQs has lost most of its charm and serves as a haven for bitter, angry people to cling to their childhoods. I now regret switching forums. |
