The Last of Us 2 played fine, but I'm not really that big on the big, linear setpiece games Naughty Dog has been doing since the PS3. I mostly enjoyed it because I was playing it alongside a friend via his copy of the game, and we had different styles of play that complemented different sections of the game which made it fun to trade the controller off.

All of these galaxy brain "I platinumed the first game, here's a laundry list of bad points from a forum post accumulating the most negative aspects of the game" takes are stupid. Crouching/going prone is fine. The AI is about as buggy as any AAA game release - there's some jittery movement and occasionally some weird teleportation stuff, mostly in regards to swapping places around for cutscenes sometimes, and it gets the job done the rest of the time with minimal or no incident. It's a minor point at best, and I don't know why you're fronting over it.

Like imo, it's a solid 7/10 game - no higher, no lower. People slurping the game's nuts with perfect 10 scores is dumb - same deal as with Metal Gear Solid 5, I really like that game but it's not a 10/10 - but this aggressive dressing down of people who just sort of played the game, acknowledge it's existence as a decent enough piece of media and moved on reeks of small dick energy and tribalism. Dude wants game recs, not a condescending talking down to about how the second game is a stupid game for morons. If you're going to be a limp-dicked pussy about a game you don't like, recommend something better.

Piss off buddy, nobody told him to call everyone who disliked the game insecure and stupid, he did that all on his own and obviously some people (including me, who your entire fucking post is directed towards) felt differently. That's not the same as "sort of played the game, acknowledge it's existence as a decent enough piece of media and moved on", those people aren't dying on a hill for the game like that, how dishonest can you get lol

I have my own recs but I guarantee they'd be picked apart at this point, why wouldn't they be. "Durr he said Nier Automata! Of course he would like that weeb game (with an actually good revenge bad subplot)!"

And how did they do that exactly? Just about everyone praising the game isn't doing so for anything new they attempted lol

Also crawling breaks the game from what I've heard. Like the AI actually can't process it too well lol

If you can't acknowledge the merits of the game and just harp on the contentions you had with the story, I don't feel like you gave it a fair chance.

Did Assassin's Creed 3 having a lackluster ending and shaky narrative premise in the first place stop people from retroactively villifying it compared to other games in the series? Don't answer that question, cause it did. TLOU was always a game driven by its narrative and setpieces, otherwise at the higher difficulties it's just a shitty stealth game. And as somebody who also beat the first game on Grounded difficulty, good luck to finding anyone doing the same here NOT attempting it out of spite.

We were all exhausted and ready to go to bed around 1:30 AM when we noticed him struggling to stand up after all the sleeping he did. He retched a little and out came almost all blood.

That was the last straw for me, but what's crazy is that my brother and sister both also decided that it was okay at that time without any of us having to question the act.

We found a nice 24/7 vet nearby and they took care of us in a few moments. Right on the couch in the room and everything. They kept saying he might make a sound or have unnatural movements during the actual deed but he was a good boy right up to the end, nice and relaxed the whole way through and I'm really proud of that. They did have that stupid fucking Rainbow Bridge poem up in the comfort room that was my one weakness and I actually had to ask them to remove it before I lost it, and thankfully they did.

I still have my poodle and he's only 7-8 so plenty of time left with him. I just hope I don't end up hating what I did tonight; it all was decided so suddenly.

So sorry to hear this too dude. Thankfully he was just taking a nap in that pic I posted, but I repositioned his legs afterwards so he wasn't resting directly on them, here's a pic after we got back home but before I cleaned him up

I'm also gonna consider absorbent pads, yes. I have multiple beds that I rotate through every time he pees on one lol, but of course I don't wanna keep doing that all the time

I'm glad y'all realize that I'm not trying to be selfish in doing this; a part of me actually thought it would be just easier to let him go earlier today (and I feel like shit for considering how relieved I'd also be in the process), but I'm glad I talked it over with everyone in my family and got their input first.

I feel like the vets would have been more keen on the euthanasia if it was a lot more serious than they seen it to be, but they made it clear that was a choice only I'd feel comfortable making at the time right now. I'm just glad he's recovered a little bit since we got him home; it tells me that maybe he's not quite ready yet.

Gonna try to sleep now. Hope things are the same as ever in the morning.

Blackout was so much better on some things than Warzone

You cant ping things outside of windows/open doors in Warzone half of the time. You shouldnt drop out of the helicopter with a gun (should be reserved for when you land tbh if you start with a gun). The lack of wing suits when dropping so you have to constantly chute to drop far. The fact that it a S4 and there hasnt been a map change in anyway besides they opened up bunkers that were previously closed is a joke.

As someone with a dozen or so solo Blackout wins and my solo Warzone win lol

I haven't had any issue marking things with pings. Hell if you ping an enemy it'll even track them a little bit

Spawning with a pistol is fine, it's not some handcannon powerhouse. Nobody also wants to be boned because Timmy No-Thumbs grabbed the SMG first and you're stuck with your dick in your hand.

Warzone debuted at the beginning of season 3 IIRC and they already are planning a nuclear fallout variant of the map in addition to opening up the stadium (the inside of the stadium received textures in the Season 4 update), so changes are coming soon on that end.

Quick update before I try to get some sleep

So they said it's neurological and not because of a heat stroke. They'd need to do blood work and MRI but that's a few hundred bucks to over a thousand minimum and it might not guarantee anything can be treated at his age

I was THIS close to calling it in, but honestly the type of euthanasia I'd want is almost as much as the initial treatment, which wouldn't guarantee anything. Plus different family members called me and said to hold off because they would pitch in taking care of him as well

We took him back home and gave him lots of water, chicken nuggers and shredded cheese and he ate all of that, and now he's just chilling. He's had a few more involuntary muscle episodes but he's recovered quickly every time.

Had a nice chat with one of my IRL frens who basically told me what I needed to hear: when it happens it'll suck, but you'll remember good things and that'll keep you going.

I told him how I always anticipate something like this happening ever since his original health scare in 2017, and we both agreed that's not very healthy lol

But then the rational side of me says "you've been anticipating something happening for the 3 last years and nothing happened wtf are you doing to yourself", so it's a tug of war between emotions and logic

End of the day I guess whatever happens happens and I just hope I can take it easy soon afterwards. But if he's gonna fight for us then I'm gonna help in any way I can, even if it's just making him comfortable

Interesting

Yeah, part of the reason I've been against the idea of putting him down is that he still seems to be enjoying himself on a daily basis. But as my brother pointed out he's certainly not enjoying this

Thankfully he went back to bed okay now,and I found a vet that offers a free first time consultation for later on today. Maybe it's as simple as some sort of medication.

Yeah, it's also partially because I don't think I can afford any of the treatment options available, especially if they're not guaranteed to help.

I'm just hesitant because he still likes to do dog things and he doesn't have a history of this like my other dog.
