People keep bitching about the FE echoes even though Sakurai himself said they didnt take away from potential actual new characters, and I know for a fact anyone who says they all play the same either havent actually played any of them (likely) or have only played with Marth and Roy (more likely)

Plus aint nobody said shit about Hero despite him being one of the progenitors of modern sword JRPG guys, far as Im concerned people only want THEIR sword guy in the game

I already own most of the Game Pass games and bought a few more in preparation of switching back to regular Live.

I saw a Series X in person for the first time the other day, and from what I'd read I expected the thing to be huge. It wasn't that big IMO

Starting taking anxiety medication back in October and for what its worth, Im feeling way better now. That medication will knock you out though because its basically pure seratonin, so make sure you have some sort of caffeine around lol

Spectre was better IMO, I really liked Spectre unlike the rest of the internet. One of the best intro scenes of any action movie, and definitely of any Bond movie.

Honestly, I'm one of the people who hasn't liked a single movie in the Daniel Craig Bond series. Skyfall was the closest one to being good, but all the others didn't feel anything like a Bond film.

I grew up on Goldfinger, Dr. No, Moonraker, From Russia with Love, Diamonds are Forever, Goldeneye, etc. etc.

There's a distinct flavor to Bond films that remained pretty consistent all the way up until Casino Royale, which I flat-out disliked immediately.

Thats fair, but I think the fact that the Craig movies (especially Casino Royale) stand up to scrutiny in general despite coming out in the Bourne/MI era says a lot

That was a marketing lie though. They never had any intention of turning him into Bond.

There was no character development between the first and second movies. It only in Skyfall that he started to act more like Bond. But then SPECTRE went right back to having him be Quantum of Solace Bond.

Bond has always fought loads of enemies with big guns and one-liners though. Thats as much of his character as the tuxedos and gadgets. Pierce Brosnan is probably the definitive Bond to many and most of his movies feature parallels, including gambling in their debut movie and crazy shootouts in the second one

Hell, Skyfall felt more like the anti-bond movie. No cool gadgets, a DN5 throwback car instead of a modern Aston Martin, spending most of the beginning of the movie completely out of his element, themes about him being obsolete, and he didnt even have enough guns to handle the Home Alone house defense.

Casino Royale is by design an anti-007 movie.

He doesn't drink. He doesn't enjoy sex. (He only likes to cuckold other men to prove he's alpha over them.) He resents the tux and his upper class upbringing. The only Bond-like thing he does in the entire movie is gamble and that's only because it's a major plot point from the novel.

If EON could've traded the rights to James Bond for the rights to Jason Bourne, they would've done so in a millisecond.

Its a Bond movie in the sense that he acquires tastes for all of those things over time, especially since it was a reboot.

It also shows why he has Bond girls and never spouses, in a major way

I didn't like Skyfall. Felt way too much like it was pushing a conservative narrative. The old ways are best, new things are bad, blah blah blah. Also pushed the idea that women are helpless and/or disposable more than other recent Bond films. Lots of people claimed it was a return to form. They are right. In this case, that is a bad thing.

Oh yeah I forgot about that overly blatant theming lol

First half of the movie is slow as molasses at times and has a lot of random fanservice that doesnt really fit the plot

Second half of the movie is PG-13 Home Alone which I suppose is fair to like

The villain isnt as charming as he might seem too
