I'm bummed that the alternate NG+ starts are just random chance. If they were sequential and expanded on the plot each time that would have been sick.

This is extremely morbid to say, but the first I heard of this was someone recording the bodies of the aid workers with their pass ports. The lady almost looks asleep.

Now looking at the vehicle they were in when they were killed, I'm surprised the bodies were in identifiable condition. WTF kind of weapon do they use? I'd expect everything in that car to be a mess of gore.

So... Throughout the game, if you listened to the radio, there were broadcasts talking about the growing hostilities between major powers. Russia had already been attacked, Korea was possibly preparing to launch a nuclear attack and the president had been moved to a secure location. So it seems like the nuclear apocalypse was worldwide due to WW3 breaking out. But before 6's release, the narrative director said the games aren't connected. So that may explain the weird disconnect there. Like maybe it's an alternate timeline kind of deal.

instead of throwing us a pity MO why not throw us some sort of RP bone like super earth reinforcements that significantly increases liberation per mission plus other fun bonuses so people actually want to play the planet. this cycle of failing every other MO due to divided player base is getting old. Victories feel hollow (you don't even notice a planet is taken in the moment until you realize no-one is joining your game) and defeat feel crushing.

Honestly, I think it's better to just play DD:DA moreso than DD2 at this point in time. For a sequel to the first, it's so far behind what it should be after the series being dead for a decade. Enemies are shoehorned in everywhere(encounters almost feel diluted & not natural), lots of enemy variety missing No cockatrice or hydra is so bizarre, they're having to add basic features back in. The performance is bad on all systems on an engine several years old. The vocations are worse, the MTX are shit but that horse has been beat enough.

IDK how they messed this up so much, I should not have been as excited for this as I was after waiting so long since the 360 days. I don't feel like this game will be worth coming back to until we get the expansion later this year, & by some miracle it pulls a Dark Arisen to fix everything. UGH

despite having fun, I fully agree. there was so much that they wanted to do with the first game but couldn't due to time and technical constraints (massive enemies IE shadow of the colossus was one I was hoping they'd include in this). they had no such constraints with this game afaik, yet they didn't even bother to push the envelope and played it safe

so i learned about the rift covid and now I'm going back to fuckin isolation mode.
i don't wanna turn off online mode since the capcom pawns suck so I'm swapping my two backup pawns out (which I check like that scene from The Thing before I hire) after every drake encounter and yeeting my main into the brine the second he gives me sass >_>
