Cute little stunt. But extremely dumb. There are plenty of other rifles that are magazine fed, semi-auto. It's just that most of them don't have a pistol grip, aren't black, and feature wooden furniture instead of scary black plastic.

I'll use the same tactic the left is using: if you aren't willing to talk about allowing teachers to go through training and carry concealed then you don't care about the lives of the children.

I can't help but notice the total dearth of mass shootings at gun shops, gun ranges, and police stations.

It's almost as if the shooters want to cause the most damage possible with the lowest risk of retaliation.

If guns themselves were the problem, you'd think that statistically these shootings would happen where large numbers of guns were to be found in close proximity to one another, but this clearly isn't the case. Declaring "gun free zones" practically advertises to a potential shooter free reign to fire at will free from risk.

This is absolutely correct. Shooters target gun free zones because they know they have little chance of being stopped in the act.

People are saying "it's time for Congress to do something"... Well it's time we start talking about allowing teachers and staff to carry concealed. After a stringent background check and of course a rigorous, comprehensive training course led by a law enforcement instructor.

Also don't just shout "herrrr derrr we need gun control" and make a broad sweeping demand. Say what it is you want. If you want a full on ban of firearms and a Nationwide confiscation, then grow a pair and say that. I think you'll quickly learn just how unpopular that idea is, however.

So you're using third trimester as an argument. Either way it isn't murder and that's still an appeal to emotion argument.

From the article:

I feel strongly about this topic, so I'd like to weigh in.
The instinctual drive and love that a parent feels for their child, especially a mother, is absolutely beautiful and quite miraculous. A parent's dedication to protecting the life of their offspring is an important evolutionary aspect of humanity and nature alike.

I'd say that it really does make a great argument for pro-choice.

How? If you read Duckbear's write-up, it says that Rett Syndrome is typically not found between the age of 1 and 2. And according to https://www.rettsyndrome.org/about-rett-syndrome it says that the child almost always appears to be developing normally for the first couple months of their life.

Also mentioned on the site: "Cognitive assessment in children with Rett syndrome is complicated, but we know that they understand far more than they can communicate to us, evidenced by their bright and attentive eyes, and their ability to express a wide spectrum of moods and emotions."
So for those of you disparaging the mother for her dedication to her child, and making the assumption that she kept the child, and cares for her in vain due to her her own selfishness are just plain despicable.

It sucks. I was so repulsed that I stopped immediately and said let's just fuck instead. Unless you're really hygienic with your sweater penis then it's gonna be a bad time for everyone.

It is said that the odors and tastes of an uncut penis are very much like the odors and tastes of a vagina. American women just aren't used to uncut, so they immediately associate the odor of being unclean and nasty. How would you feel if men began demanding women get parts of their anatomy cut off in order to help reduce the smell and odor?

Seriously though, this was a bone of contention between my wife and I during her pregnancy with our son. I'm circumcised, and my argument is that even if it does cause pain and trauma to the child, they have no recollection of it if you do it early enough. I sure have no memory of it. We discussed this for months, but I finally gave in when she showed me a video of the procedure on a baby. They strap the baby down and it's screaming the whole time :( it's tough to watch.

I worry that he'll get teased in when he's older, but man, I could not go through with it after watching that video.

You made the right choice. I have a 5 month old boy and didn't get him circ'ed. It is completely unnecessary, and over 80% of the world doesn't do it.
And even in America it is on the decline.

And for any woman who has an anecdotal story of how their friend Tiffany did an uncut guy in college and it "smelled funny," I have a news flash for you: your vagina has an odor too. Get used to it, we did.

okay so in less than 10 years i'm paying more taxes with this bill

Legislation almost always works like this. Usually has terms or expires after a couple years. Once people start seeing all the good that comes from this, and how they have more of their own money, when that time is approaching, the American people will demand a continuation from Congress, regardless of which party holds it. They'd get slaughtered at the polls if they didn't pass an extension or something similar.
Lowering the business tax from 35 to 21 percent is huge. That is going to attract so much business. And I know, as a leftist, you don't quite understand this, but when businesses are allowed to keep more of their money, it does benefit even the little guy. We already have AT&T and Comcast pledging $1000 bonuses to every one of their employees. There was also another company who did the same, but their name escapes me. AT&T also pledged to invest, I think it was 1 billion, into infrastructure.
Also, a lot of businesses are going to bring a lot of their operations from overseas back home to the states. This means more jobs.
Your attempt to move the goal posts was cute though. It's sad that someone can be so deadset on hating Trump that they can't admit when something truly great for the American people takes place.

Government can never grow the economy the way that empowering individuals with their own money can. Government doesn't produce anything. It just takes, and grows, and attempts to redistribute (after they take their cut, of course).

I'm just very confused by this topic because it seems like you are lumping "modern liberalism" and the Democratic party together. I don't think that's the case at all; the Democratic party is one of the more conservative sections of liberalism in the US. The type of extremists you're talking about are people who are also upset with the Democratic party, but for different reasons: it's too corporate and corrupt, and their constant attempts to compromise lose them elections (like picking Hillary over Bernie, and Hillary's subsequent flip-flopping). I don't agree with every extreme left view, but I do agree with them that the Dems are lame losers.

This is so wrong and really attempts to simply gloss over the truth in what OP laid out.
The Democrat party has become so hard left that it is simply unrecognizable from the party of JFK.
Its platform is, if I had to sum it up, the advocation of blindly turning over all aspects of our lives to government. The Democrat party has been shaped to believe that every problem we face can and should be fixed by government.
Their politics have become vitriolic, and rage-filled. Based purely on raw emotion, and zero principle. They advocate for suppressing and silencing their opponent's speech, because they're incapable of defending and articulating their ideals in the arena of debate. That's because they know that much of what they stand for is utterly reprehensible to the average American.

And before anyone busts out their Jump To Conclusions Mat, the Republican party has plenty of problems of its own too.

No, wait, that means he still killed 26 people, which is just the latest in a line of mass shooting incidents several thousand long (and counting) that "Good guys with a gun" have failed to prevent.

Civilians don't carry guns to "prevent tragedy." They carry guns to protect themselves and the ones they love. That's not my opinion. That's the actual law. The people who have concealed carry permits are NOT allowed to simply start shooting whenever someone else goes berserk in some attempt to "be a hero." Simply put, if I (or any non-officer) shoot someone and can't articulate how it was directly to prevent severe bodily harm to me or a loved one with me, then I'm the one who's going to face criminal charges.

Most people who actually have a concealed carry permit would already know this. Of course, some states allow "open carry" without any permits, but even then many of the same laws still apply when it comes to self-defense.

In many cases, you actually can shoot someone if they are actively targeting the public. In most states that offer concealed carry, you would be justified in stopping a person from shooting innocent people.
That's precisely what happened in Texas when a neighbor shot the assailant.

It's too bad there aren't more people in Texas with guns. That would have stopped this.

Many churches have it posted and don't allow firearms. It may be the case here.
It seems likely that none of the congregation were carrying, since a couple of the reports have said the gunman had time to reload several times.
With that said, if someone there had been carrying, they very well could have stopped this.

As a conservative libertarian who happens to really like and admire Ronald Reagan, I can't say I'm "offended". I will say, however, that I think this is dumb and quite disrespectful. But it's nothing to get all up in arms about. And I may buy the game for Switch or a Steam sale or something.

I will say that Bethesda wouldn't dare do it to a Democrat president, and that if they did, the left would go nuts.

We need stricter Home Depot truck renting control.

Well you're being satirical, but we really do need much stricter driver's licensing standards and doing that would as a consequence make it more difficult to rent a Home Depot truck.

And then he would have just used a knife or one of his fake guns he had to carjack someone and use that car or truck instead.
Kind of like how guns are highly illegal in France, and yet those evil sob's still found a way to get guns to shoot up the Bataclan.

Ocarina of Time.
Most of you here aren't old enough to have been there for its launch.
I was 12 years old and can remember reading EGM and Nintendo Power and getting so hyped for it. I remember seeing the commercial a couple days before and just going ape-s**t.
And boy did it ever deliver on that hype.

When you're using an apostrophe with an S to show possession, if the word you're using it on ends in an S, you only put the apostrophe.

So it would be Samus' legendary rump.
