I can't help but notice the total dearth of mass shootings at gun shops, gun ranges, and police stations.

It's almost as if the shooters want to cause the most damage possible with the lowest risk of retaliation.

If guns themselves were the problem, you'd think that statistically these shootings would happen where large numbers of guns were to be found in close proximity to one another, but this clearly isn't the case. Declaring "gun free zones" practically advertises to a potential shooter free reign to fire at will free from risk.

This is absolutely correct. Shooters target gun free zones because they know they have little chance of being stopped in the act.

People are saying "it's time for Congress to do something"... Well it's time we start talking about allowing teachers and staff to carry concealed. After a stringent background check and of course a rigorous, comprehensive training course led by a law enforcement instructor.

Also don't just shout "herrrr derrr we need gun control" and make a broad sweeping demand. Say what it is you want. If you want a full on ban of firearms and a Nationwide confiscation, then grow a pair and say that. I think you'll quickly learn just how unpopular that idea is, however.

I feel strongly about this topic, so I'd like to weigh in.
The instinctual drive and love that a parent feels for their child, especially a mother, is absolutely beautiful and quite miraculous. A parent's dedication to protecting the life of their offspring is an important evolutionary aspect of humanity and nature alike.

How? If you read Duckbear's write-up, it says that Rett Syndrome is typically not found between the age of 1 and 2. And according to https://www.rettsyndrome.org/about-rett-syndrome it says that the child almost always appears to be developing normally for the first couple months of their life.

Seriously though, this was a bone of contention between my wife and I during her pregnancy with our son. I'm circumcised, and my argument is that even if it does cause pain and trauma to the child, they have no recollection of it if you do it early enough. I sure have no memory of it. We discussed this for months, but I finally gave in when she showed me a video of the procedure on a baby. They strap the baby down and it's screaming the whole time :( it's tough to watch.

Legislation almost always works like this. Usually has terms or expires after a couple years. Once people start seeing all the good that comes from this, and how they have more of their own money, when that time is approaching, the American people will demand a continuation from Congress, regardless of which party holds it. They'd get slaughtered at the polls if they didn't pass an extension or something similar.
Lowering the business tax from 35 to 21 percent is huge. That is going to attract so much business. And I know, as a leftist, you don't quite understand this, but when businesses are allowed to keep more of their money, it does benefit even the little guy. We already have AT&T and Comcast pledging $1000 bonuses to every one of their employees. There was also another company who did the same, but their name escapes me. AT&T also pledged to invest, I think it was 1 billion, into infrastructure.
Also, a lot of businesses are going to bring a lot of their operations from overseas back home to the states. This means more jobs.
Your attempt to move the goal posts was cute though. It's sad that someone can be so deadset on hating Trump that they can't admit when something truly great for the American people takes place.

Government can never grow the economy the way that empowering individuals with their own money can. Government doesn't produce anything. It just takes, and grows, and attempts to redistribute (after they take their cut, of course).

I'm just very confused by this topic because it seems like you are lumping "modern liberalism" and the Democratic party together. I don't think that's the case at all; the Democratic party is one of the more conservative sections of liberalism in the US. The type of extremists you're talking about are people who are also upset with the Democratic party, but for different reasons: it's too corporate and corrupt, and their constant attempts to compromise lose them elections (like picking Hillary over Bernie, and Hillary's subsequent flip-flopping). I don't agree with every extreme left view, but I do agree with them that the Dems are lame losers.

The Democrat party has become so hard left that it is simply unrecognizable from the party of JFK.

Their politics have become vitriolic, and rage-filled. Based purely on raw emotion, and zero principle. They advocate for suppressing and silencing their opponent's speech, because they're incapable of defending and articulating their ideals in the arena of debate. That's because they know that much of what they stand for is utterly reprehensible to the average American.

In many cases, you actually can shoot someone if they are actively targeting the public. In most states that offer concealed carry, you would be justified in stopping a person from shooting innocent people.
That's precisely what happened in Texas when a neighbor shot the assailant.

It's coming out that a nearby neighbor confronted this guy using his rifle and shot him, causing the shooter to flee. Police aren't sure if he died from a self-inflicted wound, or if he died due to being shot by this good Samaritan.
