I have zero interest in either Hulk, but this is the tweet I saw that went viral.

And a lot of catcalling is totally comparable to Bruce trying to kill himself to be rid of the Hulk.

How exactly was she in the right again?

What a cringey scene. No wonder it's getting bad reviews.

Are the majority of people on this board from the US? It makes me kinda sad to see so many people believing that socialism is the answer to the flaws of capitalism.

They bash capitalism while living in the most successful country on earth and the best example of the benefits of capitalism. Most of you guys have no idea what it is to live in a failed socialist state.
A state that expropiates the capital (means of production) from their owners will always be kept by the government and not the workers. With more power the government inevitably becomes more corrupt (way more than in the US). The result is absolute poverty for everyone except the people in power. This has happened many times in many different countries through history. True socialism and communism simply don't work.

There is no doubt that capitalism is not even close to being perfect. There is corruption and the richest people can take advantage of it. But there is also no doubt that countries that embrace a free market economy have lifted way more people out of poverty than any other system in history.

I've seen a lot of people mentioning that countries like Sweden are socialist countries. The truth is that Sweden is among the freest countries in the world (there are several studies that rank countries by different measures of freedom, including economic freedom). It does have a big welfare state like many other european countries, but it is supported mainly by a free market economy. There is a big distinction between having a welfare state and having the government own all the means of production and centrally plan the economy.

Isn't capitalism at it's core the ability to gain the benefits/profits of things you produce? Whether it's your labour, ideas, products, etc?

Scalpers don't produce anything, they resell someone elses work without adding value. It's kind of a stretch to say that's "pure" capitalism.

It's not really any more "pure" capitalism than standing in line in the snow for hours for a loaf of bread is "pure" socialism.

Capitalism at its core is based on private ownership and voluntary exchange. Scalpers don't violate neither of those things.

They make money because supply can't meet demand at the original retail price. Otherwise scalpers wouldn't be able to resell anything.

So whatever the price the scalper is able to resell things is theoretically the equilibrium price. Their function one could say, is to guarantee that the person who is willing to pay more is the one who gets the scarce product.

I don't think they do an inherently bad thing. They are taking advantage of a mismatch between supply and demand. Maybe one could argue that a specific scalper is creating some kind of monopoly, but that is rarely the case.

Basically, you can make jokes about trans people, black people, jewish people, gay people, white people, etc. But your jokes should be grounded in facts, not misinformation, if you want them to be funny and inoffensive to the group that you're citing in your joke.

Like this one for example:

Growing up with two moms was great, but now that I'm move out I have to call them both equally at least once per month while I'm in the car, even if they're five feet from each other in the house.

Was that joke supposed to be funny?

I don't think misinformation has anything to do with how funny a joke is.

Why do large corporations still think they can continue to grow infinitely?

Why aren't they ever happy with the loads of money they already make yearly?

Because their whole point is to maximize shareholder return, not to make you happy.

Maybe if you knew anything about economics or finance you would understand. Striving for economic growth is a completely logical and healthy behavior and it is the only way people can get out of poverty.

im gonna buy elden ring

but i want to play like a mage/archer type character. i want to do 99/100% magic, but im concerned i will run out of mana during a boss fight or something. or any fight really
are there ways to regenerate mana mid combat

or is it possible to go full skyrim and do a stealth archer/assassin

I don't think archer is a viable playstyle unfortunately. There are bows and crossbows but they feel more like secondary weapons.

Magic is 100% viable, there are a ton of spells and you can regenerate mana (FP) with flasks.
