Honestly, this seems like a bad move and a waste of resources. The Dem party of FL could be the most poorly run in the country, DeSantis won by a huge margin, and the state has only shifted more Red over time. I get the logic, but FL is lost.

North Carolina needs to be on the list (and the article does mention this, thankfully). It's been an almost 50/50 state for years and years now, it always baffles me why Dems don't put more focus here, since it's already teetering on the edge. And Texas makes more sense than FL, given it's slow march to Purple. Holding AZ and GA also need to be moves. All of those make way more sense than trying to go for FL.

I assume you mean "high-end performance" hardware. And that's because the last time they did, the GCN sold so poorly they had to stop manufacturing it for a while and drop the price to $99. They figured out from the PS2, which only sold like crazy because it was an early, cheap DVD player, that high-end hardware doesn't move consoles, it's what the hardware can do for you. That, and compared to Sony and MS, Nintendo doesn't sell their consoles at a loss. Although I'm not sure about the Switch and whatnot.

Hard to say, especially if you were kinda meh about Awakening. The series could a hard evolutionary turn from then on out, so any resembling FE7 or FE8 is long-since dead and not coming back.

They both have a similar "hub" mechanic that functions like X-Com (that series itself which functions a lot like FE) in between battles/missions, with Three Houses being the school/monastery, and Engage being it's own castle town thing. General agreement is TH has the much better story (with 3 different stories (well, technically 4) in one game that branch out, giving it good replayability), and good combat/mechanics, while Engage has a very generic story with few surprises, but the Engage battle mechanic puts a wildly different spin on the combat (and ditches the min-army mechanic thing from TH that no one liked).

I.e., both are really well liked for their own reasons, but TH is generally considered the stronger entry. Be warned, the hub mechanics are a pretty big element of the game, and they do tend to drag on (although you can ignore and skip past the stuff that shouldn't ignore).

I'm pretty sure every single AI platform is being bogged down with lawsuits at the moment, due to the fact that it needs to source copywrited material in order to learn and generate, so it will be interesting to see what happens when the dust settles. If some sort of royalty has to always be paid every time AI goes to generate something, then it goes a long way to crippling the supposed artist revolution of "now anyone can do it."

Personally I was really into the color symbolism. And how so much of the visual storytelling really worked perfectly.

Talking about other "wire-fu" movies, I definitely enjoyed it more than Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and House of Flying Daggers, which where the other two movies along those lines that came out around the same time.

But I've got them all (and a few others) in my DVD collection - I've got a foreign film section in general, but the Asian martial arts film section is about a dozen or so deep alone.

I'd say Hero>CTHD>HotFD for what it's worth. I'm like the only one that felt a little underwhelmed by Daggers, it seems. Then again, I also haven't seen it since it came out, despite owning it, so it may be time to take a view again.

My gf dragged me to see it in the theater when she was going through her artsy phase. She kind of hated it, but I loved it.

It definitely is easy to believe it's just another wire-fu movie, but the neat twists and turns of the story, and itself being a fictious version of real historical characters and events was cool.

According to Wikipedia, it is the 5th highest non-English film in North America. It was #4, but Godzilla Minus One surpassed it. Pretty damn impressive. Also, the film would likely never have come to NA if not for Quentin Tarantino getting involved in pushing it through.

Hero is very underrated. But fucking great.

This is true. It was obvious a mile away, but 3 different directors (2nded up being 2), wit no Kevin Feige type making sure there was cohesion or continuity between the films guaranteed a mess.

That said, RoS is still full of sins, the biggest being the Palpatine ass-pull. Just Saturday-morning cartoon levels of lazy and bad.

One thing thats interesting to me is that weve gone through some pretty immensely powerful villains without introducing anything past base devil fruit powers. Skypeia introduced Mantra but it wasnt developed very much and I get the feeling Zorro has already used Mantra before in those moments where he feels the world around him and finally takes down a foe in one strike that was beating his ass.
