Even if they know they're not the only Jedi around I could see why they'd still think Luke and Leia are their best options since it's a given they'd be naturally extremely strong in the force, and they'd probably have a better chance of getting a straight shot at Vader/Palps than any other wayward Jedi they could track down

yes it does sound like overall general jealousy and you're just taking it out in this specific case because you think, in the back of your mind, "what if that could've been me"

Though I think definitely this does hit at some of my frustrations and anxieties with relationships in general. Kinda in a way of "everyone else seems to be capable of a healthy adult relationship and not me".

Oh yeah absolutely. That's just why this particular episode has me confused. Like I said I wasn't pursuing this girl and hadn't thought of her in a long while. I should have had no reaction lol

Like I do alright in terms of dates and sleeping around, though admittedly I'm not great at actual relationships

Anyway, back around the fall I kinda started a bit of a thing with someone at the place I worked. She backed out because she had been promoted to a position above me and felt uncomfortable with it. Understandable. Definitely was bummed, however, since (and this is rather rare for me) I actually liked being around her outside of the context of a sexual/physical relationship. Super fun to talk to a be around.

I had left this place and went to work somewhere else in the winter. At this point her and I match again, so I figure eh may as well reach out. Soon as I did she unmatched so that threw me way off. We chattered a bit on and off a few weeks but the conversation eventually fizzled. Such is life.

Flash forward to today and I was off helping my previous workplace (where she currently works) just as a part time contractual sorta thing. I overhear her mention something about "my boyfriend". And for some reason something in my dumb brain flicked and I was and remain in a pissy, dour mood. I wasn't actively pursuing this girl, and it's not like she chose someone else over me (I mean I guess in a very broad sense she did but you know what I mean), and Iunno for some particular reason it just drove me into a weird headspace

Maybe it's some deeprooted jealousy? "This person whom I got along with really well got into a happy relationship before I did?"

Iunno my brain is fucked lately. I need to see my shrink again lol

since my call with my future boss back at the end of March.

I was like "Hmm I know I don't start for a while but it's weird I haven't heard from them"

Turns out they sent a welcome email 16 days ago full of forms to be filled out with a specific request to be filled out and returned within two days.

The email in question was in my recently deleted folder as it was for some reason marked as junk and then deleted automatically after a few days.

So immediately I sent the person who hired me a profuse apology and at the same time emailed HR.

The HR lady called me and was super nice and assured me as long as I got it in soon it was no problem.

Nothing can ever be simple for me it seems lol

It's because democrats are to busy fighting with each other about who should force the current president out to have someone else run.

I mean firstly I don't think that's a debate that's actually happening right now. For all his faults, after the events of last summer and the performance in the midterms, Biden has virtually no serious dissent in the party. The guy can outfox McConnell and win elections, and that's enough for them.

Secondly, the Florida Democratic Party is a state-level party that wouldn't be focused on that sort of thing right now. They have serious problems, but that's not one of them.

I mean the national party could, but it's a question of whether the state party would accept the help or whether they could competently utilize the help.

The national party I think has also kinda just given up on Florida after the state party fucked the last couple elections there.

They have completely ceded any sort of hope of winning any state position or even effectively forming opposition for the next generation.
