The more annoying thing in that is when they gave the night time zombies rail gun spit attacks that they use whenever the AI is too stupid to figure out how to path to the player.

If it was CE they would have told him to stomp it down the drain.

If you can enjoy Overlord then The Saga of Tanya the Evil might be enjoyable. Basically a corporate jackass gets forcibly isekai'd into a little girl because his arrogance angered a god and left fighting a magical version of WWII for what would be the Germans.

You'd still need a separate room for all the embarrassed guys to remove their stained undergarments after they got too excited at a lap dance... Also, make sure the machines only accept paper bills. Otherwise you'd have jackasses throwing quarters.

I first heard about it when they had a food poisoning outbreak in the early 90's. It's not a priority for me to try it.

They've definitely developed and refined a policy in the last 30 years keep the raw beef frozen and away from contact surfaces.

Re:Zero is fantastic. It's nice that the main character isn't overpowered (he's actually a scrub) and he starts as a selfish and crappy person and actually becomes better over the series.

Just expect him to be trash for a season and power through it.

They're relatively cheap and known for their finger foods. The burgers aren't anything special, but you'll save a few bucks compared to other fast food places.

I remember when they had their popcorn chicken all the employees would make 'shakers' out of them, putting the chicken in a drink cup with personal blends of sauces: taco hot, teriyaki, sweet and sour, barbecue, etc.

The problem with depth of field is how it can focus on a single pixel crosshair, resulting in the view warping in and out of focus as said pixel passes over different distances. If there's a pole or post somewhere in the distance you'll get radically shifting levels of focus if you pass over it. It's jarring and takes away from the experience.

It makes sense considering that they accept kids regardless of gender. If anything it just highlights Girl Scouts as being exclusionary; and IIRC they grumbled for a while about the Boy Scouts accepting girls because it undercut the Girl Scouts in their opinion.

Scouting as a general idea should be a way to teach practical things for any and all kids. It also provides a second group for social development beyond school.

"Parry the floor"... That reminds me of the Just Cause games where you could "Grapple the ground" while falling to land safely from any height.

I know other games have had features like that, but can't remember which ones at the moment. You basically cut fall damage in half if timed properly, IIRC.

For the physics of it: it isn't the fall that hurts you, but the abrupt stop at the end. So, if you can successfully lengthen the time frame for the change of momentum, yes. It's the basic principle behind safety mats/nets. Rolls can do that too, given appropriate angles for the trajectory.

Whenever shareholders are involved they'll usually set some arbitrary, always-increasing, metric that one of them pulled directly from their ass.

So they may have tied it to growth of Gamepass memberships over a set number of months; again with some figure pulled directly from their ass. So if they don't meet the metric they kill jobs so their quarterly reports look good.

Holy shit, the amount of times I had to watch that video to figure out when he threw it and where he even was. He throws it around 6-7 seconds. Almost looks like he was in the crowd. He's to the left and below the shot clock.

But, the video explains where he is, zooms in, and slows down... In real time though it would be easy to miss, since the camera is partially obstructed by the hoop.

Funnier still was Pete Hines insisting that they weren't pulling support for the game even as he himself was about to leave Bethesda. Like, I'm sure he was cognizant of the extra layer of BS put into that statement.

Item durability systems tend to be annoying at best. I do give props to Fallout: New Vegas in this area though. Performance of weapons wouldn't be hampered until they dropped below 75% durability, and armor below 50% durability; and perks like Jury Rigging could make repairs nearly a non issue. That also made it easier to fire customized ammunition which did more damage at the cost of a greater loss of durability.

From a story perspective, other games have also gone the "your actions did nothing" route. In those cases it's best to just write off the story and judge the gameplay.

Yeah, not surprising about Redfall. It regularly had player counts dropping down to 3-12 people on the planet for the PC version during the slow hours. Even before people within the studio started doing interviews about how no one wanted to do the project it was obvious something went horribly wrong there.

Most places legally cant give out food to strangers in case someone gets sick and sues, from what ive been told.

On the flipside, it becomes totally legal if you donate to an organization that then passes the food off to strangers. A lot of super markets will do that, handing out food that hits the "sell by" date. But you still end up with stores tossing about 300 lbs of product per day as either garbage or compost as well.

That sort of reaction to something can be thought of as a filter. If you're interested in someone, give them the opportunity up front to pull something stupid like this. You want to weed them out before forming a long term commitment.

And if you get really pissed at a boss you can give yourself a gun and shoot them dead. I think the game even gives you an achievement for it.

While it is a fun game, there is a fair bit of platforming to be done. So people who hate platformers may want to hold off.

Like Konosuba it pokes fun at the isekai genre, just from the standpoint of the supposed edgelord protag.

When it comes to isekai in general, the more popular shows that were incorporated into Isekai Quartet are okay, but if you branch out into other stories you'll get a lot cringe, like MCs that purchase sex slaves and talk about how happy their slaves are to be their slaves, etc.

Reddit is good for sharing information about a specific topic or game, but the upvote system and nested conversation structures are garbage.

Some of those countries didn't exist when the Animaniac song was created...

Considering that people usually don't survive helicopter crashes I'd be beyond pissed at that pilot if I was anywhere near that place to witness what happened.

In Fallout 3 the general best strat is to use the specially named sniper rifle that knocks enemies over then rush up to them and spam the Combat Shotgun. That's generally how I fought the absurdly tanky DLC enemies, especially the Super Mutants with the Tri-beam Lasers that dealt specialty damage to the player.

You see that sometimes with petite women. Even if they're in their mid 30's people will stare at them when they go out with their SO in public, casting accusatory gazes at the pair.

At the very least, if they're both consenting adults and fall within the general guidelines of the younger person being at least equal to half the age of the older one plus seven years then people really should just mind their own business.

That should explain things. People's brains can short circuit on this, but if you turn your back on someone they no longer have any incentive to care what you think from that moment onward: your bottomed out opinion isn't going to change regardless of what they do so they simply do as they please.

CEO and stockholder types like desperate and unorganized labor, makes it easier for them to scoop more and more money into their lion's share. If people wised up to the distractions then they might be forced to share a decent amount with said people.
