I know quite a few people with Punjabi Pakistani heritage, and they consider Afghani food to be superior to their own.

Having said that, I'm partial to Punjabi cuisine though

must be a grass-is-greener kind of thing. they feel like remixed versions of each other. pakistani/indian tends to run spicier and more strongly-flavored whereas iranian/afghan is more subtle and less street food-y.

yeah but one piece has by far the best world-building, tons of things mentioned in passing become relevant years later, etc. every arc is like its own story.
