Did anyone else initially not like a character but then after doing their story you like them more?

For example, I thought Alfyn would be boring so I didn't really want to do his chapter 2 lol. I've never really enjoyed apothecary / healer classes in videogames. But the story was actually interesting and I enjoyed mixing together shit.

You have to head to chapter 4 areas to get the advanced shrines. You don't actually have to go to chapter 4 towns, though.

But yes you'll see them on the map.

You can go any time you think you're ready.

such a fucking awesome game. played 8 hours in one sitting a few days ago. got around 24 hours played. doing Alfyn's chapter 2 then i have Tress/Cyrus/Ophelia chapter 2.

the game is a ton of fun! loving the art style and music and storylines.

question about the story tho - do the stories converge into a single narrative towards the end or does the party interact just through the occasional Travel Banter?

i ignore achievements in games. i know people who will "work" on getting a platinum or 100% in a game for the achievements. which is kinda sad tbqh since most of the time theyre not even having fun, they just feel the need to complete them for the score and bragging rights.

if a game is fun, ill play it. if a game is not fun, i wont play it. simple as that.

Great thing about this game is that you can truly explore however you want. There are no "gates" blocking progress other than the bad dudes that fuck you up.

So if you want to you can go into a higher level cave and survive a few rounds to beef up, and that's entirely a legit strategy.

i see. might swing around and complete all of them once I finish off chapter 1 for every character then. i bet there's some nice and tasty loot waiting in there.

what a fucking awesome game. 6.5 hours in. i killed one of those random Cait things and got like 1000 XP afterwards lol. shame I didn't land Primrose's dance that boosts your XP lol.

if i could come up with a complaint, it'd be that the characters don't really seem to interact with one another, and by the time you get through everyone's first chapter the way the game intends for you to do you lose some of the momentum of the stories. Therion and Olberic and Primose have some badass stories so far, for example, but I had to do Alfyn's story and now I'm going around the map to get through the other chapter 1 characters as well before resuming my party's stories in chapter 2 scenarios
