She died when I was 13, and for years after her death, whenever I heard this song it would bring me to tears. It's gotten better over the years, but I'm still deeply affected whenever I hear it. lol here's the right link. Im old enough to remember the 49ers and Cowboys dynasties. I remember the Boys having a lot of off-field shenanigans, but I dont recall any of these teams coming under the intense scrutiny that the Patriots have during their run. Fans need to understand, its not going to last much longer. Hell, it could end this very Sunday, though Im fairly certain Belichick and Brady will both be back regardless of the outcome in the SB. Just the same, Brady has maybe 2, 3... 5 years left in him at best? He has to break down at some point. Belichick may want to prove he can win a Super Bowl without Brady, so maybe he doesnt retire when Brady finally hangs it up. Getting people fired, getting shows cancelled, getting advertisers to back out, etc. Comedians can have jokes backfire in horrific ways, and sometimes theres a razor-thin line between something thats clever, funny social commentary and something thats flat-out repugnant. Even the best comics fuck up now and then. People have every right to be offended and voice their opinion, but some people have such thin skin, and the power they wield on social media can be oveewhelming. I wonder how much longer comics will be willing to assume the risk that comes with pushing the envelope. First time when I was really young, I was chasing my older brother and he slammed a door between us to keep me from following him. Got my fingertip caught. It was just a bit of flesh, no bone or anything. Second time I was working in a nursery (the kind with plants and flowers), moving a trolley filled with flowers and I pinched my finger between the metal trolley handle and the metal door jamb at the entrance to a greenhouse. That one went through the bone and everything, but luckily missed the joints.
