Even after he removes his debuffs? Anytime WoL has died or near died, it's been on Turn 3, after Shadowlord self dispells and hits full-force. Otherwise? He isn't even tickling me. But that one turn where he hits like a truck...

Keep in mind, I have like no defensive TMRs. Resentment and Mechanical Heart are the only ones, and my armor selection is haphazard as well. Hell, I'm still using a Def +20% for a materia.

Hmm. That's odd.

My Charlotte runs 7033hp/517def/ 319 spr without risking death. And she use both Mechanical Heart and Resentment.

As long as Tim keeps atk and mag broken I have no issues surviving as shown above.

WoL shouldn't die if breaks are up, providing your defense is good enough. (VoE was only on the brink of death one time.)

One of the missions is the dreaded "evoke exper"- so you have to take time to vet the gauge up and used the first time around

Also, it takes about 3 turns for the weakness to swap.

So yea, rip bots and farming efficiency.

Alright, so I just typed a whole long message about my first real attempt at the nasty Octopus. Not retyping that, so bullet points

-Holding the tap on Orthros to check to see if he still has a buff takes the target focus off of Typhon
-Taking the target focus off of Typhon after he's prepped for Snort is a bad plan
-Losing Marie to Snort really sucks
-I think I could have beaten the trial without that screw up

Two questions are: Is there a better unit than Rikku to help provide support? The Re-Raise is nice, the damage reduction is nice, but constantly losing buffs to Acid Rain sucks. Zarg, with help from Tidus' MP refresh ability, can keep up the party's MP with Rejuvenate just fine. Marie is just fantastic, although the person on the FFBE board that said she makes the trial a joke is hyping her up a little too much I think. O I'm missing something. And WoL is just required I think. But yeah, anything else you all might recommend?

As long as Ultros remains broken, you keep the green magic up and have potted spr/HP you should be able to do it. I had Y'shtola on green mage duty myself while Tilith healed. (WoL needs to eat the Hentai when Typhoon croaks.)

I played briefly about a year ago (only got to like level 10). I've since moved back to Japan and got the itch to play it again.

I remember hearing that the JP server has more units and such that aren't available in Global. In fact, iirc one of the reasons I stopped playing was because Tidus wasn't out yet, lol. Is that still true?

Tidus dropped a few months ago and we are about to wrap up season 1. >_>

JP is about 7 months ahead of GL depending on what you are looking at.

Covered it a few topics ago.

VoE gives you on the demand mitigation for thresholds.

9S and Tim are comparable, while Tim's will come up more often with high tide, 9S is more sturdy. (But you will run into disease resistance more often.)

Other than Ace/Zyrus/Olive and a few more are a step below on the priority list.

They are a decent option until you have Bracers/Ifrit's Claw. Then they become pass me downs you can still use.

Was it fun beating with a *4 instead of a *5? Or was it painful?

I myself use Sara *5 to lb boost Zyrus' LB's to one shot kill, while Desch de-spirits the boss.

Are you just enhancing them "because," or are they priority Enhancements? I haven't used Luka since February I think, and I haven't ever needed to use Charlotte since I've always had a Cecil, Warrior of Light, and now most recently Veritas of Earth.

I like variety in case I need x over y. If I don't need Tilith Luka works.

Luka offers a good heal, says good bye to petrification, a decent regeneration, and like Soleil is a Perpetuum mobile.

Charlotte offers a usable MP battery along with 60/60/60 for her aoe.

Here are my tests. (Luka is fully enhanced and potted for mag/spr. Charlotte got no enhancement and no pots.)

From the looks of it Charlotte's AoE protection is 60% proc, and 60% on both.

Luka's is now 2k 5x. Her self heal is now 1k per turn.

He was my first 5* Max capable character, and I really liked him and used the heck out of him until I started getting more useful units. Basically, once I pulled a Chizuru, he got perma-benched since my Katana selection was rather mundane at the time.

I dusted him off and gave him a "thnks fr th mmrs" 6* promotion when they released it, but is he worth awakening for funzies at all?

Hayate is a great example of how to do hybrid units wrong. Use him for his TM, nothing else. (unless you really like ninjas).

Basically, unless the data mine reveals something else, Hayate is best off as a walking unenhanced Pokemon repellant. (Providing you don't make your own secret O'zack teams behind our backs.)

Mirage: Evade Attacks (Max: 3) for 5 Turns

If Mirage is used last turn:
1000% ST 3 Hit Fire Hybrid Attack

Otherwise 500% ST 3 Hit Fire Hybrid Attack

Have a source of wind if you are not curbstomping for Typhoon.

A tank to cut down on healer getting killed. (Or Tetra for Tilith.)

Break prevention is useful against Magnitude 8.

Kill Typhoon first. Do prepare your butt for tentacle rape after it dies.

They are fairly interchangeable.

If you need camo, go Tetra. 63 mag.

Otherwise Ramuh if you need spr. 60 mag.
