This is partly why the English language is so hard to learn English language is easy to learn, it's just annoying to learn how to spell some words properly. I'm mostly annoyed by words with a lot of double letters, like successful or necessary, can't remember when to use double letters and when not to. |

GunmaN1905 03/09/24 3:55:20 PM #10 | Damn_Underscore posted... It is possible they dont know this stuff. For example I personally dont care about sports betting and there are a lot of terms and methodology I dont even understand, let alone the actual numbers. Maybe the refs are also thinking if I look too closely at this stuff Im going to lose my job and block it out Refs and everyone following sports closely definitely know about everything. But they should be investigated, no reason not to. Some refs absolutely could be gambling and thats the only way to know https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Donaghy And yet nothing happened. Refs in the NBA are their own union and noone can do shit to them. I'm not talking about betting, but in general. Much like players, some refs are better and more talented than others, while some are just incompetent and their mistakes are a product of them not being good enough. Unlike most other sports, the league has no power to remove those refs and we have to watch them make it all about themselves game in and game out. |
Topic | NBA player Rudy Gobert implies refs are betting on games |
GunmaN1905 03/09/24 3:47:04 PM #8 | They're not betting on games, but they definitely know shit and anyone thinking they don't is naive. Betting becoming mainstream is new in the US and people are really naive to think noone would think to temper with stuff, especially stuff that's irrelevant to the sport like spread on points difference during regular season games noone cares about. Eventually it evens out as teams benefit from refereeing sometimes. |

GunmaN1905 03/08/24 1:08:05 PM #44 | Scardude posted... I'm trying to understand why you think extra skin is a major organ? This is a minor procedure and the skin in particular doesn't serve a major function to the human body for survival. Yes, skin is an organ. But the size of the area removed is small compared to the rest of the body. You got to be trolling. Damn, some of you are completely brainwashed on this matter. |
Topic | To circumcise or not? |
GunmaN1905 03/08/24 12:55:28 PM #30 | IdiotMachine posted... So the question for me is- is it worth getting circumcision when it's easy to do to avoid complications with foreskins later in life? There are no fucking complications unless you don't teach your kid how to wash himself properly, ffs. Your bullshit American propaganda wants you to believe that every other man would have issues, while the more realistic number is like 1 in 50. So yeah, if you want to avoid 2% chance of something bad potentially happening due to genetic disorder, go for it. Might aswell take out his appendix right away and wisdom teeth as they start growing, just to make sure. |

He created something that transcended the genre and became a part of mainstream culture. I'd say that he's responsible for a lot of people becoming anime fans, as DB was the first thing they watched. |

GunmaN1905 03/04/24 8:29:04 AM #24 | s0nicfan posted... See, this is why I've always been of the opinion that rather than offering universal free college what we should be doing is every few years surveying the country to determine what skill sets are lacking and then offer free tuition to anybody who completes a program in one of those areas, which would include things like trade schools and apprenticeships. Well, it's not about college being free, it's about people's mentality. Both college and apprenticeships are more or less free where I'm from. Mentality that a lot of parents have is the issue. Up until 00s most people didn't even go to college and now they want their kids to not be left out. As it usually goes, everyone thinks their kid is the smartest and it's beneat them for their child not to go to college, even if they don't have any talent for that field. Then they end up studying law for 8 years and being more or less useless. |
Topic | Do you believe people are better people in real life than online? |

Doesn't matter, if you can get any kind of software development certificate, you're more intelligent than most people. Jiek_Fafn posted... Professors told this to me when i was in college. Things were much less fucked back then too. Those that came after me have only gotten worse results relative to the amount of money they've put into it. I'd only go to college now if I had a clear career path in mind that required it. Where I'm from, there is alway an over-saturation in certain fields, even if we talk solid degrees. Economics and law always have way too many students. And then to make it even worse, they take easier economics classes and very few go for accounting. Apprenticeships are way more needed nowdays. Electricians make a ton of money without having to do any of the dirty work. |

Got software and programming certificates These two don't go together. no employer would even read my resume since discrimination is legal no matter what legislation says. This is the only reason I got a masters degree in computer science, even though I barely learned anything in college if we talk useful programming stuff. |

GunmaN1905 03/04/24 6:55:53 AM #10 | No wonder when half the degrees shouldn't even exist and are useless. Masters degree in liberal arts? I'd like extra fries with my burger, thank you. |

As in it's probably a 9 or even 10/10 movie for people who read the books, but for everyone else it's kind of...pointless if I dare to say? |

GunmaN1905 02/29/24 6:44:46 PM #17 | vycebrand2 posted... Honest question? More than a week at least. My friend that I took care of couldn't sleep because of 2 factors. In pain and took medication that wasn't what you call helping you get to sleep. I think she went 10 days once. Sometimes it wasn't even a issue. You could not give her sleeping meds because of the pain meds she was on My record was around 50 hours and that was without any kind of caffeine or other supstances. A few hours before I fell asleep every sound felt like I was underwater, couldn't hear anything clearly. And I started hearing things that weren't there. No visual hallucinations, tho. |

GunmaN1905 02/29/24 6:15:47 PM #15 | A few months back I was awake for around 40h straight, including a 24h trip to get back home, which included 12h of airports+2 flights and 12h drive home. It was around midnight on Friday when I got back home, I slept for like 12h, then slept for 12h again on Saturday and 10h on Sunday. I was completely broken, lmao. Then a few weeks after that I was awake for 40h again, including a 16h drive home. Recovered from that one a bit easier because I didn't change time zones. |
