Everything needs to have a balance. Same goes for immigration.

Zwijn made a pretty good post. At the moment in Europe feels like immigrants are more important than domestic population in a lot of countries.

Refugees should always be allowed, but a lot of immigrants disguise themselves as refugees when they actually aren't. And they come to Europe from countries that have no ongoing conflicts. And very few get turned back.

Just last week I was in Vienna for a couple of days due to work, haven't been there in a while. Walked all across the city and there's maybe 20-30% German I heard. Multiculturalism is one thing, but when immigrants want to take over, that's another. But if you say anything about growing crime rate because of certain demographic, you're instantly labelled a racist.

I'd personally kick out anyone from any country if they aren't fluent in that language after 3 years.
Any serious crime should also mean instant deportation.

Not much because my ISP has this thing where you can use every wifi source on their modems.
As long as I'm in the city area, there's always wifi connection. It's a separate network and doesn't take speed/data usage from the original owner.

If we're being honest here, Trump won only because Democrats somehow managed to not take him seriously and had Hillary f-ing Clinton out there as a candidate. If it was anyone else, Trump wouldn't have won, despite the electoral college nonsense.

I get your point, but what change can average voters make other than voting?
Are they protesting in the street? Not with big enough numbers.
So just sitting at home and getting angry over those scumbags won't change much when the only difference you can make is voting.

Because we didn't care in 2016. We knew he was a racist old bastard and looked the other way.

Guess who won 2016?

More to the point, while it's true that you shouldn't pay attention to politics each and every single day, a lot of us have no choice but to pay attention.

Just ask all the women who woke up one day and saw their reproductive rights were suddenly gone.

We currently have a political party that attempted a coup because they lost a fair election. A political party that isn't even attempting to hide the fact that they want to kill trans people, that they want their political opponents murdered.

The luxury of "Just ignore it" has passed for many of us. Do I gain something for paying attention to politics? Absolutely, my human rights are a hell of a benefit.

I literally said that everyone who's able should vote, but obssessing over politics daily like a lot of people do is just making their lives worse.
If you can't do anything useful in the bigger picture other than voting, then what's the point of making yourself feel miserable?

You followed it enough to know who to vote for and knowing how many crimes Republicans committed in detail won't change much.

As someone not from the US, I have to ask a honest question that seems kind of dumb, lmao.

Like what's the point in caring about politics in the US? You've got two parties and no third choice.
Over the past decade Democrats have been your average corrupted political party, while Republicans have been more or less pure evil that needs to be stopped.
The story ends there.

Why do you waste your life on all the Trump nonsense when there's nothing you can do? Every sane person already knowns who to vote for on the eleciton day, reading/listening/watching anymore of that nonsense just hurts your mental health.

I'm from a small country with your usual corrupt politicans that can't be overthrown without a massive uprising which will never happen. I always like to say that the only people who still follow politics are ones who have direct benefits from it and the let's call them under-capacitated individuals who fall for the propaganda and bs, much like in the US.

Alopecia universalis(AU), also known as alopecia areata universalis, is a medical condition involving the loss of all body hair, including eyebrows, eyelashes, chest hair, armpit hair, and pubic hair. It is the most severe form of alopecia areata. People with the disease are usually healthy and have no other symptoms and a normal life expectancy.

Basically, you lose every single hair on your body and it never grows again.
In return you get $2 million.
Drawing eyebrows, tattooing hair or having fake eyelashes is not allowed.
Wigs are also not allowed.
Hats allowed only in cold weather.
Sunglasses allowed only in bright sun.
No prescription glasses allowed. If you have bad vision, you get it fixed as a bonus.
Fully healthy otherwise.

What's it gonna be?

Alright, you're reported for both trolling and being unable to read.
You don't move the clock to change the amount of daylight, you move the clock to have earlier daylight in the winter and later daylight in the summer.

What's so hard to understand? Yeah, it doesn't apply to places far North like Norway or Iceland in Europe, but it works for most of the continent.

I don't understand what this means. The Earth is tilted, higher latitudes have longer periods of daylight when they're tilted towards the sun and shorter periods when they're tilted away. Setting the clocks back or forward an hour doesn't change how much light you get.

It does for places that have moderate latitude.
As in the entire Europe except Scandinavia benfits DST.

If you keep the summer time, then it would be dark for way too long in the winter.
If you keep the winter time, then it's way too bright way too early in the morning.

I'm in Central European time zone and during December with current Daylight savings it's completely dark until like 7am. Gets dark again at like 4:30pm.
But in July it starts dawning at like 3:30am and it doesn't get dark until 9pm.

Can't have neither 8am dark in the winter nor 2:30-3am dawn in the summer.

After I finished college, I got a job that was like 10 minutes of walking away from my parents' home.
Wasting money on getting another place would've been idiotic. Stayed with them for a couple more years until I got my own place.

Was paying for all my food and the internet/TV bills. Parents paid for electricity and water, but those are dirt cheap where I live. As in getting the fastest internet package costs the same as electricity bill on average.

Can't generalize people, but as someone not from the US, to me it seems that most Americans are way too cold and distant to their kids as soon as they turn 18. Not good for their long term relationship.

I fully agree with the sentiment that kids shouldn't be allowed to leech or expect everything is provided for them, but in today's housing and job market, a lot of young adults are left in shit situations and they need help to get back on track. If parents don't help them out, then they better not expect to be cared for when they're old and in need of assistance.

I feel like Netflix has fallen off when it comes to high quality shows and they're just going for quantity over quality.

On the other hand, most others don't have enough quantity to warrant constant subscription instead of just getting it for a month or two and going over the shows you want to see.

I've got HBO...ugh, MAX included with my cable subscription and I'd say it's a must buy for everyone who hasn't seen all the classic HBO shows.

Those two nations will never be able to co-exist peacefully.
It's sad that we have to say this in 2023, but each nation needs to have an unified territory without the presence of other side. And an uncrossable border. Eventually they'd forget about each other.

So either it's war to extinction or ethnically clean territories for each side.
