Pre-MCU Hulk is 2 or 3 and it's not even close. Even before the 2000s movie people referenced the Lou Ferrigno Hulk for decades. There is absolutely no world in which Hulk was 2. plus if you really want to go hard on within-game diversity there is the obelisk joker which explicitly encourages this, with huge payoffs (or at least before it got nerfed in the demo) I just won a run with obelisk - was doing a run with pairs in hand buffed and was trying to feed aces and kings into my deck - had ten two pair hands by the time I got obelisk, then just ran on three of a kind, four of a kind, and full house (also got the three of a kind gets buffed joker as well). was able to beat ante 8, but probably not enough juice to go much further --- "Bordate is a pretty shady place, what with the gangs, casinos, evil corporations and water park." - FAHtastic |

Not trying to hype Allen up as some elite level talent here, but Lamar crumbles under the pressure just as bad as Allen does. And Tua appears to be bad against good secondaries. That's a fair defense of Rent. I wasn't crazy about the movie and never saw it live, but it probably gave space to the success of Spring Awakening in 2006 as another impact of Rent. Never saw the movie. It's not always been great when I've seen it live. But like... not just Spring Awakening, but so much that came in this millennium has room to occupy because of the space Rent cleared. Subject matterwise, I'd say it directly leads to things such as Avenue Q and Book of Mormon. There's also the read where Wicked and later Frozen owe their success to Rent if you give it credit for Idina Menzel, but that's a little slewed. Either way, yeah, I don't think Cats, Wicked, Lion King have any room in this conversation ahead of Rent. Phantom of the Opera Rent Hamilton people can feel free to tell me I'm wrong, but I feel Rent really set a boundary in terms of eras of Broadway and made such a significant impact in terms of expressing a demographic that was key to Broadway but mostly kept hidden away. I can accept West Side Story as a golden age representative, but I really think a Rodgers and Hammerstein should take the spot.
