Yeah, I'm not hyped for it, and honestly, that makes me have higher expectations. The Mandalorian was good because it had room to tell stories with new characters. Cassian isn't a new character, and the cast won't be, but a 12 episode season implies to me that it won't just be a quick spring like Obi-Wan was, and some of the recent MCU's.

In campaign 1, Ivy was a big fan of "the green boy".

Oracle showed Ivy episodes of space trek, and things got a little dicey when we called in BB for aid

Yeah stories like this are great and a big reason why tabletop games rule. Making actions rely on dice luck creates some amazing emergent gameplay and roleplaying moments.

Random aside, I appreciate when you note a memorable dice roll in a writeup. I love being able to reminisce on a devastating or miraculous roll in campaigns I've played.

Let me take you back to campaign 1, with my character, Alexander "Fields" McKenzie. Fields had a Clayface baked into him which turned his body composition into sand, and gave him Earth Manipulation powers. It also gave him the weakness (all powers have weaknesses) of, whenever I would roll a nat 1, Fields would turn into sand.

So I don't remember the exact details, but Roz'etta was really pissed at Fastbreak, and Tali wanted to calm down Roz'etta so she lit up her fire, scaring Roz'etta, and basically betraying her entire being, so Roz'etta went to the Gazette where Fields was playing the Entertainer.

Anyway, Roz'etta opened up to Fields, hurt because Tali betrayed her love by using fire. Fields asked her why she was afraid of fire and she said that her fear was just a part of her. It's like asking why Artemis has a tongue. Or why Fields has arms.

So Fields raised his arms up, I rolled for Earth Manip, got a nat 1, and his arms dissolved into sand.

"You were saying?"

Needless to say, it made Roz'etta laugh and happy and it's how Fields became Roz'etta's best friend. Somehow I willed a nat 1 into existence. It was beautiful.

Vis asked for more commentary so I will also comment that, while Saoirse finds Patch as a talking rat immensely interesting, she treats him more like a friend

La Dama didn't convince Saoirse to pawn over the acorn. Data 7 was making a deal for acorn in exchange for access to Charaxes. Saoirse then bartered the acorn over on the idea that her deal to protect La Dama from La Llorona was considered complete.

Waller is the Queen in the perfect way for this campaign. Oracle was the right older sister/girlfriend figure for campaign 1. Waller is the perfect encouraging boss for campaign 2. And she didn't outright say she didn't arrange for us to be tubed at the top of the campaign.

I love Death Delayers. I used a role like that back in English Lit mafia. It's cool balance-wise because it's a form of protection that doesn't affect balance as much as a Doctor. Like a Bodyguard.

No. That doesn't resolve anything.

I mean, I was ready to slap down people saying you deserved to be banned from hosting if they said it after game. They certainly said it enough in-game.

I'm not the only one here who wants to drop conflict in these games. It's mostly because conflict is the reason these games suck. And the community can't survive on it.

But part of stopping conflict is by not encouraging it. Every. Single. One of us has the ability to hold our tongue and chill out. Things get heated at times, yes, sure, but we all know how to actually speak if we want people to calm down and relax. The reason I'm trying to drive this point in is that, most all of the time, people involved can handle the situations better. I'm certainly guilty of that myself.

To be clear, I'm not saying that Red's goal was to get Ulti to lash out. I'm saying if Red bothered to think for a moment, he'd believe that Ulti likely would. And if he DID want Ulti to calm down, he'd have said something different.

Ulti said something wrong, and Red wanted to correct him and tell him he had issues in the process.

We aren't surprised because he does things he shouldn't do. Not because what red did was wrong and deserved that reaction. Red was literally being honest and telling Ulti to calm down.

You're intentionally ignoring motivation or you're just incapable of seeing it.

If Red actually wanted Ulti to calm down, he'd have said something else. That's not what Red wanted - Red wanted to gloat. Red is on a high from winning and Ulti was mad.

There's a phrase: "Don't poke the bear". You may have heard of it.

Nobody is arguing Ulti's response was in any way okay. But the important question is this:

Are you surprised Ulti reacted the way he did?

If the answer is no, then that means you realize that Ulti can be provoked and you would understand not to do it.

It is either always wrong or always okay. It doesn't change based on who the other person was and what they did.

Ulti 100% crossed the line and deserves an indefinite ban but acting like Red is innocent when he should have known better is ridiculous.
