i wouldn't go that far. conservatives are allergic to nuance, context, and critical thinking.

the main reason "the left eats its own" is a thing is precisely because there are so many different groups in it that think differently and have different ideas about achieving goals. the right is far more monolithic, enforcing conformity and keeping in line. just because the left has a problem with purity police right now doesn't mean you can forget all the times the righties employed them.

Your right about far right and far left being unable to critically think for themselves. However this trend of attacking your own side to raise your own status is purely on the left. If it makes you feel better, I work 7am to 5pm Christmas day, and my wife has to work 3 to 11, so we literally won't have any kind of Christmas together this year except maybe the last 20 minutes before midnight.

Well i said it doesn't anymore but when i was really depressed it did in some perverse way. Depression gets really bad at christmas and some people barely hold on. Everyone has their own way of dealing with exclusion and depression the first christmas knowing nobody gives a shit is the worst.

Do what i did one year if it really bothers you get super drunk and blow up a huge firework at 4 am that way all the kids in your area wake up early and piss off their parents.
