Pay attention to what she talks about. If she mentions anything. Case in point, my mother is vicious if I don't give her a card every year for important dates. So I make a mental note to get it 1 month before it happens just so I'm not rushing.

As for what else I give her, I never give her flowers. She has enough of those as is. And most of the time the gifts I do give her don't see use until 2 years later when she stumbles upon them and finally uses them, as she did with the roaster and slow cooker I gave her a few years ago.

My suggestion though is to learn how to bake. Nothing super complicated, but something that gives a bit of human touch to it. I'd bake a small tin of cookies and cakes. With 1 muffin baking sheet you can make a bunch of different desserts, and put them in a tin for her to enjoy.

Another BIG reason. Look at the dialogue in Mangas, mostly kept short with big fonts. In comics you have characters with 10-20 bubbles with an essays worth of dialogue. Kids today have short attention spans, and have no time for that shit

It's one of the reasons I like Hunter X Hunter the anime, but cannot stand the manga. Yes, the manga is better written, and events happen in a much better format. But the dialogue is ridiculously long. Literal pages of dialogue. I don't even think in my youth when I was reading 1 goosebumps book a night I could deal with that much dialogue.

and thank you. i am in the process right now of launching a small business selling mini cheesecakes at local farmers markets, fairs, and festivals, so if that goes well my situation will indeed get better, and soon. and i hope to be able to give back to the community whenever i can. i plan to make regular donations of my product to local food banks, homeless shelters, and women's shelters, as well as make charitable donations to causes i believe in.

word to the wise though, grow your business a bit before making constant donations. Not that you shouldn't do it, but keep it to like twice a year until your actually making money consistently. If your smart about it, decorate those cakes in holiday themes, will help you passively grow your business through word of mouth.

Not the chicken salad, but I regularly get the mini-tacos and Chow Mein. They used to sell Beef Chow Mein, but switched it to Chicken. I miss the Beef.

Should be a lot more if you ask me. That's the problem with Manga and Anime. The creators make so little its embarrassing. But their publishers make astronomically more. Oda only making 200 million is a testament of how wide spread One Piece is.

to be fair, everyones tastebuds are different. Case in point, I literally cannot stand Salmon. It's way too sweet for me. But you give me a lemon? I can eat the whole thing.

Again, you're attributing things from 2 companies to the entire industry. The problem doesn't seem to be Marvel and DC doing all those things, the problem seems to be people are unaware of anything but Marvel and DC. It's like saying every manga out there is a shonen isekai because that's what brings in the big bucks right now.
You're bringing up legit issues with Marvel/DC though. Also Flashpoint Paradox isn't a comic, that's the title of the animated movie. The comic itself was just called Flashpoint.

The problem I find is that there is just a barrier for entry. There is a lot of material. People may look at One Piece and say "that's too many chapters". Not realizing that Batman by itself has over 700 issues, and that's just the base story. Brave and the bold is another 200 issues. Comic writers are having to go back and create bundles just to get a starting point for new readers.

I mean, if your a comic fan, its a good time to be a fan. As long as you know where to start. For me though, manga will always have an easier entry point, as its nearly always Issue 001.

Oh, thought of another one. Comics, in general, have a multitude of starting points. So if you tell me to start reading Batman, I can get overwhelmed at "which" Batman to start reading. The classic Batman? Or how about the Darkest Knight? Or Batman who laughs? Or Flashpoint Paradox (which has my favourite Batman). Manga, for the most part have 1. The beginning.

Respectfully, and this is coming from someone who is 38. Even during my youth I had no interest in them. Comics in general are very static in how they pose characters, and its a hundred different stories rather than one contiguous story. Yes, you have one artist that started the series, but there are a hundred different takes on that one character.

I much rather read Japanese Manga, or Korean Manwha, which focus on bolder colouring, as well as one long story.

Pepsi is absolutely incredible.... if you don't buy the American version of it. Mexican/Newfoundland Pepsi is next level, but we use real sugar instead of whatever Americans put in it.

If Grapefruit wasn't on there, I would say Peaches, and the only reason I say Peaches is because Nectarines exist.

Other than Big Red, I would have picked Fanta. Up here in Eastern Canada we have Crush, which is a subsidiary of Pepsi Co. Crush tends to make stronger tasting carbonated fruit sodas. My personal favourite is Lime, which you can only get in my province (Crush Lime, obviously you can get brands like Jarritos and Fanta elsewhere).

God I cant stand Quina to this day. I never moved past the original 4 tbh once I got far enough to have all 8 and switch freely. Eiko got in once in a while but dagger was the main by far.

It depends on the burger. Up here in Canada we have a brand called Sunrise which are essentially Mcdonalds patties, and they are fine with nothing on them. But most of the time I go Ketchup, Mustard, Daves Sweet n' Spicy Pickle Chips, Cheese slices, Spicy Cheese powder. I might mix in a little Greek Yogurt with the Ketchup/Mustard just to make it more filling, but not always.

I dunno.... maybe Eternal Ring? Though if we are talking personal preference, I'm not a huge fan of the Fallout games.

No, we don't need romance, but we do need character development. Ergo why one of my favourite characters from 12 was Reddas. In what small amount of time he was shown on screen he had more character in him than half the main party.

Also on a side note, its kind of sad that Octopath is becoming the new Final Fantasy. I love the games, I just wish the main FF games had as much passion.

I have mixed feelings about Sun and Moon. The Pokemon in the games themselves are fantastic, but the story leaves much to be desired, and the amount of literal blockades the game puts in front of you is asanine. As you know each game takes place on 3-4 islands. Imagine Cerulean City, but multiplied by every single town you visit. It's infuriating.

I will suggest that after you get through the main series, that you start playing some of the fan roms. Pokemon Clover, Opalo (This one is frustrating to find an English version for as most are in Spanish), Uranium and there are a couple others that just blow me away. There are a couple that are buggy and will outright break at some points so you have to do save states for them, but the detail is far better than anything the Pokemon Company/Game Freak have put out the past few years.

Only thing that made squall interesting is we got to see a lot of his inner thoughts compared to other protagonists.

I liked Lunafreya, I just wish we had seen more of her. It's my same problem with Ashe from FF12. We have these important female characters, but for the most part they really aren't explored properly prior to being introduced to the main party. Flush out the story, give me more of these characters, let me feel something for these characters. Show Ashe taking steps to regain her kingdom. Show Lunafreya caring about Noctis and vice versa.

It's a lot of the reason people flock to Tifa outside her other 2 reasons. Story = Power. If anyone wonders why I wanted Iris to end up with Noctis despite the obvious age difference (which could be corrected by making her 17, or him 18), that's why. Iris was given the story opportunities that Lunafreya should have gotten.

There's not enough, if its done properly. I just finished Dungeon of Black Company and that was a fairly different Isekai.

I think there's only 1 that I've ranked a perfect 10/10, and that was Full Metal Panic Fumoffu. It's a comedy anime, and you'll have to have watched the first Full Metal Panic to know the characters, but every episode is gold. The only other one that even came close was Kenichi, but that was kind of ruined by the manga continuing the story. I feel if they had cut the story right after the animes ending, it would have been an 11/10 for me.

exactly. And what's worse about that, is that outside Altissia, the rest of Accordo was unexplorable. I kind of feel that if they weren't going to use that area, they should have just made it part of the other continent and make it dueling kingdoms. I digress.

I'm going to get some weird looks, but I think the base game is fine, but that's all it is, is just fine. Of the 3 SNES titles, 4 was my favourite. I actually wish they had done more with Kefka, he's used great in the first 1/5th of the game, then he just disappears until the world of ruin.

It might have still been a thing, but if you don't have some emphasis it might as well not be a thing. I digress, I had a lot of issues with 15, that was just one of them. I won't go into further detail about it, else I get into ranting territory, and I'm not fully focused to rant tonight lol.

Or.... and here's a wild thought.... just make Capcom vs. SNK 3. Or at the very least port the second game to modern consoles if it isn't already on the ps stores.

"Loved Luna". At least in the base launch game their love was barely explored. They met a single time during the entire game, and most of the game he didn't even mention her. At least with Stella, the character she was based off of, there was at least interaction, even if it wasn't going to be love. We didn't even get that.

Hell they even gave you dilagoue options to make it seem like noct didn't give a shit about the romance but he suddenly greatly cares at a specific story point.

Not gonna go into details but I feel it was an arranged marriage and that's why you where given options to act indifferent about it. As for why he acted like he cared all of a sudden despite if you chose to act indifferent I just chose to feel like it was because the situation made him feel powerless to protect a single individual let alone his country.

The biggest problem I had with the game, at least with the romance story, is they hinted towards Noctis and Iris being something, and then poof... gone. I didn't play the game after the first couple months so I don't know if they brought her back in some sort of DLC, but her disappearing after the time gap just felt weird.

Just got quest 3 today,
1 - is it supposed to look pixelated, or is this just because its a fresh machine and hasn't done updates
2 - is it normally a lot of updates? I've got the machine running the past 2 hours and its still downloading updates
3 - has anyone had issues logging in to the app? I tried to do it and its giving me a "Something went wrong, an error has occurred. Please try again"
4 - lastly, and this is less of a question more of something I noticed, can't log into facebook via my phone anymore. No clue why.
