It was through my work, we booked a room at a local pub.
I basically just sat there for a couple of hours and didn't talk to anyone. It was an open bar w/ appetizers but I don't drink and the appetizers were underwhelming at best.

The more I stayed there the more I realized I should probably leave because I was being a party pooper and I was bored / tired.

Good thing these things are only once a year, I don't know how you guys do it.

Do you think the US will eventually declare outright war against the Chinese and try to avert this from happening?

Currently we are rapidly advancing to a point where the Chinese consumer is more popular than the American consumer. We see this with the west starting to bend to Chinese cultural requirements and Tencent growing more and more powerful in the West. We are also multiple years into the whole "Hollywood makes movies with the Chinese in mind" mindset.

I feel like empty inside, ok?
I just got off playing around 50 hours of Path of Exile this week as I have done every league since 2006. I think I am finally done, I do not seem to be making any long term progress.

I looked at my Steam library and I found nothing I wanted to play, I feel empty inside thinking about all of the time I played video games. Don't think there are any games out there this year I want to play either.

Also if I am not working I feel like I am wasting my time.
Fix this for me please.

I think Final Fantasy VII is a once in a lifetime game that is very difficult even now to reproduce the magic that came with it.

I think that Cloud isn't necessarily what made FFVII good, and he isn't necessarily a good character. Final Fantasy IX does good characters and is one of the few FF games that does them.

Link isn't a Character, he's just a silent protag. The Zelda games do not even have stories or any deep characterization as far as I know.

Its just favoritism towards users that are active in certain communities / friends with certain mods.
Also some of these posters are actively collecting and selling data they've collected through conducting these polls / surveys. It's politically incorrect to prevent these people from making a living but anyone can be fired for any reason from a corporation.

Nine times out of ten if I see a user do this enough they just go on my ignore list because nothing of value every comes from Who is your favorite super hero #5500.

Doesn't help that one of the people who started this trend here (Slayer) gets special treatment and is one of the crew that does mass disruptive posting on the boards.
