The Ravens and Lightning have elite defenses and imo easier remaining schedules than the fading Raiders and the just-hanging-in-there Titans. The Raiders play only two teams that currently have sub-.500 records, and those two are the aforementioned Wildcats and Hawks. The Titans are in the same boat but swap Wildcats and Hawks for Colts and Pumpkins. Each team has a signature win on their resume (Dolphins for Raiders, Redskins for Titans). I would peg the Raiders as having the more difficult schedule with two games against the Broncos and one against the Jets being harder than anyone the Titans are facing. | KCF0107 08/06/18 6:13:53 PM #366 | Team with a losing record most likely to make the playoffs: Vikings After the disastrous experiment of a 4-3 D came to an end, the 49ers D has improved significantly, but all it takes for this team to collapse offensively is for Tatum Bell to be injured. That's why I'm going with the Vikings in spite of their tough schedule. The lowest passer rating through the first four weeks belonged not to Matt Ryan or Omar Jacobs but former MVP Josh Portis. He and the rest of that team have been a tear lately (even accounting for that Packers game) and look so much better than the other 3/4 win teams bunched up together in the playoff races. This coincided with the signing of Courtney Lewis, a player with 4.5+ ypc in each of the past three seasons and might have the most rec yards by a HB despite playing in half of the games as his peers have. Bucs are another team I wouldn't sleep on, and the peripherals of the Wildcats and Hawks indicate they should have much better records (Hawks in particular have a SB-caliber team based on historical data). I don't think that combat isn't well suited for the series either. It was kind of rigid for what this kind of game should be.
