- This seemed like a half-assed interlude to give the player some breathing room between the incredible third case and what I must assume will be a hefty final case.
- What a bad set of new characters. Let it sink in that Uendo was the best of the bunch by light-years.
- Dissociative Identity Disorder was a poor twist that prolonged the case much longer than it had any business of doing.
- Hinged on, and didn't even explain in a few instances, too many things that most players from outside of Japan wouldn't understand.

How do we follow up on a Top 5 case? A Bottom 5 case is apparently the answer! Outside of the characters, it wasn't offensively bad, but it was boring and not designed for someone like me.

Everything went exactly as expected. Geiru looks totally different. I thought she genuinely had pink hair. I guess her murder was premeditated, but the how was made up on the fly.

We had someone with four personalities, a drunk defendant, and a balloon artist. I think that ship has long since sailed, but this trial probably could have benefited from being a spectacle. That being said, I understand and agree with the sentiment.

Much like the manju, I was never going to figure out that Taifu was making udon noodles. I don't even know what the difference is between udon and soba except that the former must not contain any buckwheat.

Athena gets her turn with the critical-thinking mind thing:
- Taifu was making udon
- Soba was what was in the bowl in the dressing room
- Soba came from Taifu's own stock
- Geiru cooked them to hide the udon
- Taifu was killed with the udon dough

I think this means Geiru must have "hidden" the udon dough by making the dumplings she made Jug and since he buried some, will will have our proof buried just outside of the theater.

Oh, it wasn't death via balloon but noodle dough. I think this is still cause for laughter. I'm not sure if it's of the good or bad variety. Probably both. There is no way that someone would premeditate a murder and say," I'm going to kill X person with pasta dough!" This has to be a crime of passion or opportunity.

Owen mentioned the killer's perfume. It's Geiru for sure.

Blackquill attacked Geiru (I would be terrified to take the stand in this alternate universe!), which revealed a bandage on her forehead. I guess there was really no reason for her to be wearing the red nose in court. I shouldn't be this surprised.

Aaand Geiru has lost it. That is AA's cue that we are starting to wrap things up.

Geiru is allergic to buckwheat. This is interesting. I highly doubt it, but I wonder if it's possible that the crime scene is elsewhere, such as the area where Jug is staying. Nah promptly says it is insulting and preposterous to suggest the crime scene be elsewhere. Forget I said anything...

I wouldn't call a teenager auntie either. That does remind me that I had a close friend who had an uncle that was younger than him. His family was Cambodian, and his mother had him when she was like 15.

The defense team is saying that someone killed Taifu, blamed it on Uendo, who in turn blamed it on Bucky. Gee, I wonder who's left...

Based on how Owen worded the bit about Taifu holding a knife with blood dripping on his face, I'm thinking this blood is that manju stuff from the bun squirting out when he cuts it with a knife because he is one of those people. I immediately find out that I'm wrong when I saw the image from the mood matrix of what Taifu's bloody face looked like.

I am going to laugh if Geiru suffocated Taifu with like a balloon that she was able to retrieve after the fact.

I like the little change of pace where the camera went to first-person and was shaking as Blackquill gave Athena a pep talk.

As is the case with most people in existence, becoming intoxicated makes you act much differently than you would be sober. Why would anyone argue the same wouldn't happen to Uendo?

It finally makes sense why Bucky was with Taifu if the latter wanted lessons on making noodles. I'm glad that some questions are getting their long overdue answers.

Athena says noodles are missing from the crime scene. I have to assume that she is correct.

In this bizarre, alternate universe, testimony from the defendant is not permissible in court. Why even bother having defendants attend their own trial then? Might as well only have them appear to enter a plea and for the final ruling.

Is Nah the biggest hypocrite out of any AA prosecutor? He leads witnesses ALL THE TIME and is on Athena's case when she did it.

Uendo's other personalities are Patches the Jester and Kisegawa the Courtesan. I don't care, and I'm pretty sure they won't matter, but I want to acknowledge their existence.

If the dying message, assuming Taifu left it and as a dying message, is really Owen as the 4th Uendo personality, that will be disappointing.

Uendo performed what Taifu should have performed. The "rehearsal" that Blackquill heard must have been Uendo coming from the TV. That must also be the reason why Uendo was happy that Taifu did not respond to his calls and why the TV was located where it was.

Oh, so Blackquill was the one who asked that Athena take the case. Still, the lack of preparation is totally on Athena. Athena, Nah keeps saying that you are unprepared because it is obvious. Don't fight this unwinnable battle with excuses.

It took me until the final day to have enough money to make the first payment. I was nowhere near close to being able to pay off the second payment until I discovered by trial-and-error that patrons of the shop will be willing to buy high-priced items if I ignore everything that Tear told me about selling things at 120-130% and instead sell lower-priced stuff at barely above-market. I went from having about 5k to nearly 40k in just two days after this new strategy.

Should I keep something from every category on hand? I often get requests for stuff like hats and other items I typically do not have on hand, and I am curious if it is worth spending money to have a wide variety of item types to be able to satisfy everyone who makes an inquiry.

Also, the little girls suck. I wish that I could hang a no-children sign in my window.

I found something unusual with the mood matrix. Uendo was happy that Taifu didn't respond to the former calling for the latter. I think that warrants some further inquiry, but the game doesn't care. Not being surprised at the slumped body works, but I won't forget the other thing.

Uendo stubbed his toe on a TV that was directly behind Taifu. It doesn't make sense that it was there for obvious reasons, so I'm guessing that is somehow connected to the crime.

Uendo was more surprised at the cluttered table than the dead Taifu, which means he knows of the significance of Owen 4th. My initial thought was Owe something on the 4th.

Uendo has dissociative identity because of course he does. I was only semi-jokingly saying that he was crazy.

I didn't understand the issue with the karuta cards on the table at first, but then I finally noticed the blood stains on them didn't match up. Oh, they are broth stains. I guess you can ignore everything I previously said about Taifu bleeding and blood messages. The real message was Owen 4th.

I had no idea that Uendo was constantly "acting" as different characters. I'm pretty sure the dude is just crazy. How would he know about the deed situation? Nobody thought to ask him to explain. I'm sure Blackquill was on the same page as me.

If Taifu was busy drowning, how could Taifu, who in that situation was likely physically unable or not mentally aware enough to be able to perceive the cards and rearrange them. If the wound that resulted in all the bleeding wasn't caused postmortem, then I don't care if he didn't like to do things "plain and simple." There's no way he wouldn't have written the culprit's name in blood or some other sign and instead do the card thing. That screams frame job, not that it wasn't obvious to begin with.

However, I can't tell Athena to say that, so my only recourse was to present the autopsy to show he couldn't have been drowning on the soba broth.

The dog staying at the theater is named Jug, and he/she is owned by Geiru. I was really, really hoping that the dog didn't actually exist and Jug was a balloon dog that she makes. I suppose the mental images of watching her play fetch and feed a balloon dog attached to her arm will just have to do. She feed Jug dumplings, and he buries some in the yard. I have this feeling that he buried something important.

Oh wow, Geiru is capable of looking like a normal human being (in this alternate reality anyway), so why couldn't she show up to court like she appeared at the theater?

Blackquill is now on the defense's bench and is coming to save the day and hopefully keep this sinking ship of a case afloat.

Athena thinks he was killed after 4 since Blackquill and Balloon Gal heard, but did not see, Taifu rehearse his act. If Athena thinks that, she's probably wrong, and Taifu was already dead with maybe the person who discovered the body being the true culprit.

Blackquill is not a fan of Nah. He might be inching closer to become my second favorite prosecutor. Capcom did wrong by him in making him the star prosecutor in a boring game.

I took me one look at Geiru, and I can tell this case is never going to recover. The best thing about her is her verbal sound effect for completing a balloon object is "BLOOOON!" Aaaand, they intend to make her eye candy. Please don't stoop to April May levels...

Athena is calling Geiru's balloon art terrible. Why are you making me defend Geiru Athena? She turned a single red balloon into a highly-detail birthday cake. Bitch just be jealous.

Geiru mentioned a late father, singling out the "late" part. I see a "tragic" backstory in the future, which may or may not give her motive.

Blackquill referred to Nah as "Sad Monk Nah." This is all I have to look forward to in this case.
