And I'm saying this mistake literally required no input on Silva's part and resulted in him having no guard, being down, and face presented. Even a midcarder would completely destroy Chael in that position, which he somehow got into by going for a backfist directly after throwing a missed punch after the other person ducked, going all the way through, missing it, and then falling directly on his ass and staying there.
There was no dominant Silva strike game anywhere in that match, and he didn't do anything the first match except be unable to wrest control, get up, or land a submission. Besides that, he had to be wiped down for rubbing vaseline on his body, grabbed Chael's shorts with his hand completely in the waistband during a clinch, and potentially knee'd a downed Chael in the face.
That was horribly disappointing by both of them.

He barely stuffed any takedown. Dude didn't land anything major and was lined up to be taken down eventually if it weren't for Chael somehow managing to perform the stupidest action possible and botching even harder past that by slipping.
Silva was not impressive that fight. Chael dominated him that first round, and then was beyond amateur on that spinning backhand.

That sucks even more because Silva didn't do anything. Chael does a wild spinning backhand for no reason and misses AND slips, and then stays sitting down. Anyone could have done exactly what Silva did there and that whole situation was ****ing stupid.

The fact there was such a community backlash in the first place is incredibly annoying, given Atlus have gone out of their way to give practically no reason you should import it in the first place. Paying for the price the regular price inflation has set for games isn't that ludicrous, and there's STILL local or online deals for every region some way or another if that hurts so bad.
Every version has English and Japanese voice acting and text, far as I know the online ISN'T region locked so you can play globally, all releases are within a very short time of one another (less than 2 weeks in the case of JP/US), and there is no exclusive content specific to any region.

God, I hated disney songs as a kid. Every single daycare, every single class, everything in general always played disney movies and always the same 2 so it'd just be the same songs droning on and on and on and on and on.

From what I hear, the Binary Domain PC port wasn't too bad. So long as you download the available patch (came out within the week of release), shouldn't be any problems to it.

Just saw the topic about someone getting it, and the other by Wang saying the sale's sometime this month, just wanted to let everyone know this pretty great game's on sale for $10 for PC on amazon now! It's a third person shooter by Sega's Yakuza Team:
-Shooting doesn't boil down just to a choice between torso and headshots, all limbs can be shot off. And, since the enemy's robots, they'll still crawl and claw their way at you if you shoot off a leg and just leave it be.
-Squad system allows you to pick who you want to join you, with it being easy to command them to do specific things in combat. All of them have their own specialties and dialogue, even specific among each other based on who else you pick, along with some different approaches to situations.
-Great amount of customization. In addition to just choosing your squad members, you can upgrade your own weapons or squadmates' weapons in all sorts of areas, and can find and buy character-specific equippable bonuses.
The shooting's different and super zoomed in. And judging from the other video we've seen, headshots aren't especially effective (I've seen them literally not flinch in the slightest when shot in the head), and shooting them that many times in the arms/legs would trigger a melee prompt if it were RE4/5 too.
It looks lazy and pretty bad. It's like they tried to make it more like Operation Raccoon City instead of either of RE1-3 or 4-5.

Hey, Pokemon's changed more than DQ has, and immediately had more to stand out and be interesting, especially by setting.
Dragon Quest is a series that rarely if ever defies it's incredibly typical fantasy setting. Almost all of it is in FF1-4 setting, with about half of them lacking even an alternative interesting twist to them (time loop from FF1, taking down a human emperor and all his forces only for him to take control of hell when he's dead in FF2, etc).

Not me, because I wouldn't imagine myself as being some unstoppable warrior god. Or looking like the main characters. Or being limited to those choices when they get to them.

Man, no mention on Shadow Hearts? Amazing series, even if you count Koudelka (the prequel).
Also Wild Arms is pretty spot on. Tons of unique charm, not often used setting, good dungeon design, amazing music, just all around great usually. Only ones I don't care for in that series are 4 and 5, and they have their merits still. Hell, almost every time it's mentioned someone has a different favorite in the series.

Yeah, I had it when I was a kid. Apparently it was from getting an infection as a kid and it just overreacted and stayed that way. Was way swollen, but only visible if I bent my neck towards the side that didn't have it. Then it'd look like I had a golfball in there or something.
Doctors took a look at it, said they'd remove it in a month if it wasn't smaller, and somehow it reduced itself to like half it's size by then. So now it's barely even there even if I twist my neck out, and doesn't bother me at all.

The GBA remakes of FF1/2 didn't have any impact on later numbering of the FF series. There is absolutely no reason either of the barebones DS remakes would either.

Possibly something like this. I had one of these, though it was directly on the side of my neck instead of in the back. In my case, didn't have to do anything at all even though it'd been swollen most of my childhood and still is just a bit bigger if I turn my neck.
Might want to get it checked out if you're either worried, sick along with it, or it lasts for more than 2 weeks.

Any case, weird choice on stuff to show off. Given this is a new engine and the huge amount of characters, I guess they're trying to keep the more combat oriented stuff on lock until it's closer to release, since that's where the game'll get a lot of hype.
Right now it's showing off the standard of Yakuza games having an obscene amount of practically unrelated way-too-high-quality minigames within it. Granted these won't even be the half of it, if 2-4 are any indication, in addition to this stuff they'll have at least golf, pool, darts, some arcade games, roulette, blackjack, poker, karaoke, bowling, ping pong, hostess clubs, pachinko, shoji, and mahjong available.

I know. I don't really like HD collections in general, but Capcom's just a horrible company and I hate to see them profit over something from Clover after what they did to them, especially after already rereleasing the game once on another console.
But in general HD rereleases seem lazy to me. They were last gen, nothing's being remade about them, it's... just releasing the same game that's been out recently. They almost get as much positive reception as a good new game or at least an actual remake that has some new content or effort put into it, which is just kinda sad.

Man, Shu was as much a dick as any kingdom, which just makes it stand out that much more that they'd say they're all about BENEVOLENCE.
Like yeah, real benevolent of them to keep land they promised to Wu. Also benevolent of Liu Bei to order his adopted son to commit suicide or otherwise be killed because he didn't send reinforcements to Guan Yu while already in a tenuous position himself. And the whole pointless war with Wu that did nothing but kill more of your men. And it was by far just the worst kingdom by the time the Sima's came to power, with the most incompetent rulers and least likable officers who keep warring on like fanatics.

Still a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.
Takes place before MGS4? It's such a pointless scenario that it's not mentioned at all in MGS4 or we already know the outcome more or less. Takes place after? Gotta retcon or shove it in within a month after the end.
Personally I'd rather it just not have Solid Snake. Give me that idea about playing as the Cobras during WWII, or give me Liquid Snake during his time in the Middle East.

I'd say it's more because the original is outdated, that intro and battle theme are way under quality of what any of the SMT series have been since Nocturne. If they're going to remake a soundtrack, it'd make the most sense to do so in the distinctive style of their most successful and recent games in the same series which likewise have the largest fanbase. Better differentiates Persona subseries from the SMT main series or other subseries.
