100% viable to raise different weapons. I have one or two of almost each one! Kinda just devote one monster's parts all to one weapon type and go from there.

Joker's generally more agile than Yu based on how he can leap around in gameplay (in and out of battle) and even cutscenes, and has a gun too so there's that. Don't think he'd be a full upkeep ahead of Yu, though. His pistol's no match for Aigis's gatling guns/machine guns/rocket launchers and a body made of metal that barely put her at 5 upkeep instead of 4 because Yu can possibly 1v1 her.

Seconded on Vice: Project Doom. For an NES game it had overhead shmups, first person shooting galleries, and sidescrolling action like Ninja Gaiden, along with Ninja Gaiden-esque cutscenes.

Hybrid Heaven's genre overlap is insane. Third person platforming combined with an active time battle RPG system of pro wrestling against aliens and robots.

Knightblazer Ashley's the strongest fighter here for sure, and his Banisher or Last Burst would pretty much evaporate any of the opposition without a chance for regen if he happens to land it. If he doesn't use those, he's just plain tanky to the point of surviving point blank fortress-leveling explosives and nuclear dragons in cutscenes.

He might be able to deal with them without using Banisher/Last Burst to just exploit that tankiness and wear them down with his other attacks, and even after that his untransformed self is on level with singlehandedly fighting a monster they were prepared to use an orbital strike laser against (and this is what he does in the prologue, before getting guardian mediums). And chances are if he uses those moves, he's taking someone down, so the worst case scenario is still a trade.

All crystals sounds like a pain in the ass.

No Kills is a hidden 5th medal that triples your score.

So far I've managed perfect no kill runs on stage 1, 2, and 3. Ends up with 150-195k points.

Not to knock SMO, but Im kinda surprised that people are blown away by it. Its really the same formula as 64 and Sunshine but with the capture mechanic and way more moons. And reportedly a better post game. I avoided most footage after E3 and I still feel like I saw too much.

I think the crucial formula change is, when you get a moon, you don't get sucked out of the level, you just resume whatever you were doing. I thought getting sucked off like that was pretty much a dealbreaker in those games, for secret shines and optional shines and such.

At the same time though, a lot of these moons are about as exciting as finding a korok seed in BotW, rather than being designed as an individual level for each. Mainly because there's so many moons, but still.

I feel more surprised by BotW overall. SMO's really great, but I dunno, I could do with a bit more tight platforming instead of wide and open areas.

I don't think X's story was bad at all. Most of the meat was in what you chose to do and all the stories of colonizing an alien world and living alongside aliens with their own unique cultures. Even the main plotline wasn't particularly bad either, just basic.
