Final Update: I actually found a work around moments after updating this thread. My storage space is good, and the videos being artifacted (after I began testing) could be as little as a minute long.

Whatever this is, a rebuilt database, reinstallation of Sharefactory, and a cleared system cache did nothing. Its now happening 100% of the time. Heres the bizarre thing, though. Loaded another test recording. Of course, fucked. Exited. Normally, Id exit Sharefactory or even shut down the PS5. Start it back up, and no luck. Still fucked. This timeI kept Sharefactory open, exited the project, and simply started a new project with the exact same video.

Artifacting gone. Im happy, but.what the fuck? This thread didnt gain any traction, but Im updating it anyway in case this happens to anybody else so they have a work around. Though I would still love to understand what caused it if anybody has insight.

UPDATE: Was able to do enough research to at least find a way to describe the glitch. Video artifacting. Its SEVERE. Half the recording will be okay, and then itll become so bad that you cant even see whats happening. Full on Picasso

Hey all. I posted something on the PS5 board the other day, but its absolutely crickets.

Ive been using ShareFactory for YEARS with zero problems. Within the last few days, my recordings are becoming increasingly glitched. Before, it was a one off thing. Chalked it up to a random bug. Few days later, it was almost every other recording. Now? Almost EVERY recording is completely screwed. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but its getting continuously worse. At this point, its essentially unusable.

So, it looks like this. I go to review the captures for editing, and the audio is intact. However, the actual visuals are completely Picasso. Yeah, thats the best way I can describe it. Looks like some heavily damaged VHS footage. Colors and broken patterns all over the place, like it was corrupted or something.

Google is absolutely silent on this issue. I cannot find a single article mentioning captures being janked to hell. Im on PS5. Can someone provide insight? Is this happening to anyone else? Its so bad now that nearly every capture is bugged out. Its completely unusable now and idk what to do

This was the original choreography. In my opinion, looks way better than the Final Cut. Wish they had kept it closer to this instead of all those weird close ups. The stunt guy playing Palpatine was amazing

I guess George insisted Ian specifically do most of the fight despite his age. Probably why they went with all the close ups. I love Ian, dont get me wrong, but even he implied in interviews that it was very difficult. I wish they had just used CGI (which George never had an issue with before) and had the stunt man here do his thing.

I like Star Wars, but my background lore mostly comes from reading wookiepedia pages from when I was a kid. Ive read up on some of the EU stuff. Mostly Dark Empire, which Disney seemed to be heavily inspired by (wellin relation to one character in particular).

How involved was the big guy with any of that older stuff? I saw a spoof video on YouTube that was pretty funny once, but the implication is that he hated certain aspects of it. Specifically, Mara Jade. So, did he just let writers do whatever? I know George can be quite protective of his IP, so how could a character he hated exist? Or is it some inside joke?

Speaking of dark empire, that one confuses me. Ian Mcdirmond (probably spelled that wrong) once asked George after RotJ if the empires was somehow alive, to which George somewhat interested responded with No. Hes dead. Hes not coming back. Or something to that affect. Yet, he does return in Dark Empire. So was that his idea, or just Lucas Arts letting people do whatever?
