The only downside is that it's almost in year 3 so most of the playerbase is already at endgame level (30) and in a different tier than the <30 level players. You start off the game in World Tier 0, then when you hit 30 you can collect gear to bump your gear score up to higher tiers up until the highest tier, World Tier 5. Level 30 is also when other activities such as dailies and weeklies become available.

So it might be hard for you to co-op with randoms until you hit level 30 AND world tier 5, but your friends or randoms you ask in game can help you........and end up scaling the enemies up so much that while it'll still be a breeze for them, you'll get one or two shotted by any NPC. You have 4 character slots, unfortunately all of mine are level 30 and I spread certain sets across characters so I can't delete a character :/

But you should take your time and enjoy the kinda ambiguous story since one you hit endgame level, it's grind city central for certain gearsets. Or you could be casual about it and just hop in pvp or pve while not caring too much about loot. Well, actually not pvp because the people there will have optimized gearsets more likely than not >_>

But a game like this almost perfectly scratches the gaming itch I've been having and that's why I've been mainly playing it. I'm a sucker for shooters and co-op, and the game is straight up beautiful and really detailed

Yeah I've noticed that this has been a problem for a while in AI related areas. In grad school, they had one of the largest non-government affiliated databases for iris images, but nobody outside of the school could use it to train algorithms.

In papers I've read usually you'd just see vague pseudocode and while they'll name the dataset they used, more often than not it was something collected in-house and you would need to set up a special arrangement to access it. Apparently it's also a problem in the NLP community as I learned at the most recent AAAI Fall Symposium, and they spent a good hour complaining about that and trying figure out ways to share data and code.

But everyone is holding onto their secret sauce either because they want to or they are forced to by their school, company, or whatever.

Besides that, it would still be hard to replicate results exactly given the inherent stochastic properties of pretty much all machine learning methods which is why they've been pushing to try to make AI/ML less of a blackbox but I'm not experienced enough to have an idea about how they would do that. There was an interesting talk this past week at work where some signal processing dude talked about his new method that did straight up transforms that were relatively easy to invert instead of the usual "create a neural network with some arbitrary amount of nodes and connections, and then backprop" process. He compared his approach to convolutional neural networks, whose creation is already less random than traditional neural networks since it uses sub-sampling stages before feeding that input into a smaller neural network.

I don't know about parking in downtown DC because I was never bold enough to try it, but if you were to drive to downtown Silver Spring (which is right at the NE edge of the DC/Maryland border, so about 10 miles from the White House), I know for sure the garages there are free on the weekend and it would be a <5 min walk to the metro stop where you could ride into DC and back. So I'm assuming, but don't know for sure, that it would be the same for other DC suburbs.

Metro also stops running at 12am.
