Had my first run-in with her in a pre-work run I did this morning and yeah. Maybe at higher levels if you're able to one-shot the enemies? I was blasting my omegas and it wasnt close.

Almost as rude an awakening as Eris encounters (who's been there each time I made it to 3rd region and I'm getting really pissed off here)

^ congrats!! damn 26 runs, I think I'm still at like 6 or 7, damn work getting in the way... also man this game feels harder than the original but I'm sure I felt that way about the original when i first played it too.

ok after my last run for the night I encountered a clock definition in another place. But they definitely didn't have it on the pot of soil so, guess that'll be one piece of early access feedback I provide!!

the only other thing bothering me is the lack of a posted chamber number. Did people not like that in the original? Personally I liked knowing how far I was from the region's end, yeah there being a Charon room signifies that anyways but still, I'd like to get into the habit of knowing which chamber numbers mark the end of which regions.

yeah I stopped playing for the night before starting 2nd region and I'm using that weapon and yeah... unless I get some boons that jack up magic quickly enough to spam omega attack it's looking like a short lived run.

The staff really is the one I had the most success with and while I'm trying to go with whichever weapon has the dark power thingy I can see myself sticking w/ the staff until I get my first clear.

Thanks, I guess process of elimination is all that was left with that but still... feels like a pretty low growth requirement, though I guess it is the lowest of the plants so fair enough! Was the clock defined somewhere and I missed it?

just finished up my latest run where I got to third area boss (btw fuck Eris, seriously) and I also found 3rd area easier than 2nd, but I did get a Daedalus hammer that fit my playstyle so maybe that helped. I really liked the build I had going there...

I hate to ask but I gotta ask this question: when you plant in your pot of soil and it says it'll take "5 (clocksymbol)" to bloom. Nowhere does it define what the clock symbol represents, as far as I could tell. But I know it's not 5 nights because I just did that one run to 3rd area and they were bloomed when i was back uh maybe it was 2 runs actually, but still I know it wasn't 5. So does anyone know definitively what that "5" represents? surely it's not as simple as 5 "locations"?

Despite being a horrible procrastinator I mvoed on this fast - Steam account registered and installed, game purchased and downloaded, wireless controller for the Switch I bought months ago and hadn't set up yet now paired w/ my PC. Just shy of 2 hours played but no way I'm refunding this. No issues running it on my PC, thankfully.

Definitely a ton of fun, there's moments where the smile on my face was so large, the magic was back. Got to 2nd region boss on my third try and got smoked so badly, lol. Some not-so-fun surprises (would've been nice to know I can only carry one tool before spending resources unlocking the 2nd one) but that's part of the magic of this uncharted territory, I guess!

processor requirement is same, 8 GB ram instead of 4, but Hades 1 required 5 GB more storage space interestingly enough. Hades 1 graphics minimum was "1GB VRAM / DirectX 10+ support" (whatever that means). I played it on console but no way I'm waiting that long to experience this there.

Hades II officially going to be my first Steam purchase, going to register an account there and buy it later today, thank you for posting this to let us know the early access game was out! Just finished my replay of o.g. Hades the other day (had to force myself to stop repeatedly grinding darkness/gemstones) so hype level at max for me.

.....how can I tell what my PC's graphics situation is (and if it's sufficiently comparable to "GeForce GTX 950, Radeon R7 360, or Intel HD Graphics 630")

yes of course there's materia on everybody (for AP accumulation) but the best materia being on your party members obviously makes sense. Not going to let prime materia rot in reserve!!! if no loadout then at a minimum, the original game's full weapon/armor materia swapping between characters!

FF16 had the same problem with not providing loadouts frankly, like there's a set of skills that were great vs. trash mobs but not vs. bosses/tougher enemies and vice versa so had to flip back and forth more than once there...

Rest are all good points too! Summoning, agreed, and feels bad because they look so good but by the time the opportunity to summon would come I would just enver use it. "Freeze" isn't something I had ever considered but it's honestly a good point, as much as I like switching away for increased DPS, those moves really should be admired. Last point reminds me of cruising in the Regalia in FF15 while listening to "God in Fire" from Dissidia 012.... well now you got me wanting that in the Highwind too, lol!
