Streaming services. I feel like at the very least streaming services have cut down a lot on pirating but they're still a huge ripoff for artists. I know labels take a big chunk of album sales but they're still important to the industry as a whole

Now obviously with some of these services if you want to listen to a certain song you are kind of SOL but you can get a lot of similar music for free. With Youtube you are talking about watching ads before the video which is "sorta paying for it".

Why on earth would you follow a guide for a JRPG you haven't played? I mean shit Chrono Trigger has a great new game+ feature so even if you miss "cool stuff" you can just go back and play it again. It probably has the best experience in subsequent playthroughs of any JRPG ever made.

When Persona 5 came out I didn't make sure I had a guide, since I wanted to experience the story+characters first hand, and not follow some detailed guide to "optimize" my play.

The 50 figure might be talking about absolutely vaporizing all of Hawaii, the point of why Nukes are so ridiculously bad is due to the long term repercussions not about the blast incinerating every building and living being in an entire state or country or something. Most of the KH fans I know have totally moved on after they started releasing so many different handheld titles across multiple systems and made the plot so convoluted.

There might still be a dedicated fanbase but I dont there are enough people that really care about KH anymore for the game to be as profitable as they need it to be.

The dedicated fanbase is never the majority of sales for anything. I mean I have not played a good number of the KH spin-off games and I will still buy KH 3. It would be like claiming that everyone that goes to see the latest Star Wars film is a hardcore fan. Square loves to announce shit way before it comes out, that is just how things work. I mean FF XV was really supposed to be FF XIII Versus but it took so long to make they just expanded it and made it a full fledged FF title.

If you look at the Youtube video I posted earlier in the thread, that car is pretty damn impressive it easily handles anything that a normal human would do in that circumstance and I think the only way it would "malfunction" is dealing with something out of nowhere like some guy swerves into it or something like that but these are the type of scenarios even a normal human has trouble reacting too in time.

Once the majority of vehicles on the road were self driving though the safety would go up a lot since the only problematic cars would be random ones with a driver in a bad situation, and malfunctioning self driving cars.

It's funny when people try to claim that 1.3 million deaths a year is not enough go ask someone that lost a close relative to a car crash about "insignificant figures" in comparison to the total number of people. If we have the technology to make that number nearly 0 isn't that worth it?

This is like someone claiming that we should never invent the internet because it will take away their enjoyment of going to the library. Except in this case we are talking about saving people's lives vs. having a lot of fun driving a car (which is only for a limited group of people) TONS of people don't like driving and do the task out of necessity to get around.

This is one of the most advanced self-driving cars I have seen, it was made in France partly due to the laws they have on self-driving cars there. If they can make something like this today, we are pretty damn close to making these 100% feasible for a moderate price point.

Well for most to get enjoyment in driving they are the type that ideally would enjoy racing and stuff like that. I mean I never met say an Uber driver who absolutely loved driving and that was why he drove Uber. I would say about 95% of the US population would prefer if their car would drive itself assuming it was made 100% safe.

Keep in mind that they would have to get permission from a crap ton of companies to put every Gameboy game on there, this is why they can make replica hardware but they can't do something like the SNES mini. It seems like about 40-50% of all the ridiculously rich people run for President at least once. Most of them don't make it very far though, it seems like a bucket list item for a good chunk of those people.

Yep this is done in part to get those ready to buy that expansion on day 1, usually the expansions are large improvements on the base game. If its like most Civ games it will likely have 2 expansions, so those waiting for a "complete edition" will be waiting for at least 2-3 years.

There should be an option for "EVERY stupid version of the DS". It actively ruined handheld gaming, by being more popular than PSP/Vita and making the stylus MANDATORY for a TON of games. If all those crappy versions of the DS didn't exist, the Vita would have gotten the attention it deserved. Thankfully, the PSP was popular enough on it's own to survive with a bunch of rad exclusives, but Nintendo and it's obsessive fans absolutely killed the Vita.

The Vita was hurt right out the gate by the extremely expensive memory cards in comparison to comparable sized Micro SD cards. I was willing to pay that price for those memory cards, but plenty were pissed at Sony for those prices and refused to buy the Vita.
