I haven't played XI, but in XIV the trust system only works on dungeons in Shadowbringers, but essentially makes them a single player experience. The Scions from the main storyline replace the other players, and you go through the Dungeon as you normally would, only with commentary from some of the storyline characters.

This is interesting. I've seen negative reviews from people who identify as left-wing, or progressives, saying the film is bad because it legitimizes the incel ideology. Meanwhile you see conservative or right-wing people bashing them in the comments.

But myself, I want to disagree with the reviews (although I haven't seen the film yet) for entire different reasons. Because, as much as I think incels are silly, there is something that creates them, which is this extremely individualist and inequal society we live in. It seems the film aims to explain how extremists are created, not by legitimizing them, but by showing the sick world that created them.

But nowadays all sides in politics can only argue by pretending the other side is evil. "Angry white men" are evil and their woes are not relevant, they think. When the truth is that everyone's woes are the result of the bigger system that is broken.

I haven't seen the movie but I think a lot of the criticism is because the movie just sounds like taxi driver rebranded as joker, which is pretty cynical. It's like making a Wishbone episode. It's not even the same as like, how avatar is similar to fern gully or dances with wolves...sure the themes and plot are similar, but this one has the same theme and plot but extra marketing potential by just slapping a famous character on it. It doesn't even use the same character origins you find in the comic books for the character, it's like someone had a screenplay and they were like ehh I don't know, then they were like uh what if we make it a comic book movie to sell it.

But yeah for a lot of people the parasocial bonds you form over 100 hours of hanging out with them is one of the highlights, while others care more about growth arcs and plot. But persona is probably the series that combines all these elements in the most cohesive way that doesn't feel awkward or like some parts were tacked on or neglected.

To answer honestly, I'm probably like 75/25 straight. I'm definitely more attracted to women but the "gay side" is there lul. Probably not enough to actually do anything with a guy. But then I was also labelled as "gay" by several people growing up, probably because I was more emotional than an average boy and was intetested in "the arts". Well, this topic has certainly taken an interesting turn for me.

To me personally, labels should be helpful in defining yourself and meeting people who you would be interested in. If it's become restricting instead, don't bother with it.

I think the issue is not usually whether or not the label feels restrictive to you, but how the label restricts you in the mind of others.

For someone like the earlier mentioned "straight but I'd hook up with a guy" type for example, if he just tells people he is straight then most not rapey guys aren't going to try to hook up with him, so it's restricting him from something he would consider in most people's minds. But if he says he is bi, he is giving the impression to many that he would consider men and women equally, which seems untrue, so the label isn't really useful. In addition, tons of people make assumptions like "bi people don't really exist" or "he must be secretly gay" etc.

Basically, I'd say that labels are almost always not useful because everything means something different to other people and sometimes are just blatantly untrue things people define themselves as for other reasons (ex: in the closet or cultural or religious or family concerns). Someone might feel comfortable saying they are gay to their friends, but absolutely not comfortable saying it to their parents for example.

More useful information can just be gathered from contextual interaction. Ex: if you are a man using Grindr, you are probably willing to sleep with a man. If you are at a gay club and flirting with men, it doesn't really matter if you define yourself as gay, you are clearly willing to have sex with a man. If you are at a party and flirting with a man, you are probably willing to have sex with a man. However, if you are just going out with friends to have fun, it doesn't matter what your sexuality is because that isn't relevant.

In conclusion burn down all labels I demand label anarchy

Iirc mzero and I both live in Asia and based on that.. almost definitely a smaller area than your apartment. The thing is the items to hang clothes to dry...very common in Asia but not really found in the US. They make items to hang clothes without an outside clothesline, they just aren't prolific in the US.

Addressing climate change is the top priority, followed by anything that can loosen the stranglehold of global capitalists on the working class. I don't really expect voting is capable of accomplishing any of my goals so it's more about symbolically showing support for the furthest left candidates at all times to shift national discourse, awakening further leftists who will organize.
