I used to work at a store with a 24 year old woman who was dating my 16 year old coworker (also female)

Because the movie has TWO different attempted rapes in it (one of which Diana herself prevented); and it paints a hypocritical character study of her. Not to mention that it gives the impression that its okay when this stuff happens to a guy.

Did we watch the same movie? That dude was going to rape/kill Kristen Wig, and Diana was totally in the right to stop it. The only conceivable thing that could be considered iffy was Kristen Wig later going and beating that guy down too, but more, and the movie painting it as a bad thing.

There wasnt a scene of Chris Pines host body constantly creeping up and being scared/worried about his autonomy because that isnt part of the movie or something to be concerned about. Its just a silly decision because they made him possess a body instead of getting a new one for him. As far as the audience and story is concerned, the host body doesnt exist anymore, and just popped back when Diana renounced her wish

The circumstances in Revenge of the Nerds were entirely different.

Youre looking too much into a thing the movie barely addresses because its not an important part of the story. Its just to add extra angst/give Diana a reason to maybe connect with this man later on in movie 3. The intention wasnt to have her rape him repeatedly ffs, its just silly superhero magic

Why are people having a meltdown over this movie? I came out of it expecting most other people to think it was rad, but I have people saying that Chris Pine coming back to life made no sense and picking flaws like how Diana flew from one country to another without stopping to fuel.



if you dont like a movie, it isnt that deep. Fine. I dont like most movies. But when your criticisms boil down to you needing a scene of them stopping to fuel, or land in a foreign country, Im going to think you came into the movie wanting to find something to fight over.
