A part of me wants to play it for the MW2 maps, but another part of me knows that it wasn't just the maps, but the mechanics and brokenness that made MW2 special. This probably just won't feel the same, Idk.

Wish they just did a MW2 remaster honestly.

Also, I feel this is just part of the hatetuber-industry. Don't get me wrong, CoD is kinda garbo for many reasons, but I don't think this is something new, and feels more like engagement farming where you take something that isn't really that much worse than how it's usually done, and make it look horrible in order to generate interest for your posts/videos. Hatetubers are an incredibly large industry nowadays tbh.

Not that I want to be seen as going to bat for Activision as I'm no bootlicker, but I also hate this market of overdramatizing something in order to sell that hatred.

No, math isn't about retaining how to do problems. It's about developing our problem-solving skills in a way that is practical and affordable. Like, I don't think any Geometry teacher expects you to remember how to do proofs, but it's a very good way to get you to think about the mechanics that go behind something. It teaches you not to just accept that something is done, but how it is done.

I know I've already brought up Mythbusters but they covered that too and showed if attacked by someone with a knife within a certain distance you are unlikely to be quick enough to draw a gun before getting stabbed. It was either within 20 yards or feet. Probably feet.

Out of 3 attempts he only managed to shoot him once but still got "stabbed"

Now if you both already have your weapons out it evens it up a bit
I love Mythbusters... but like, even if we assume that was the pinnacle of gun draws, why can't the person with the gun actively be moving as they draw their gun in order to keep distance?

Calc 3. I dropped in my 2nd year of college, which never sat right with me (it was purely due to poor work ethic causing me to miss way too many classes, and I could no longer rely on what I would say are above-average skills at picking up math), so I redid it in my 4th year, even though I had no real good reason to other than my pride. Ended up getting an A in it (this was during the spring semester of 2020, so Covid year).

Unfortunately, I knew that was my limit. I am really good with the idea of mathematical concepts in the realm of pure math, but have never been able to grasp physics, which math starts to blend with at its higher levels in many ways. Was a little depressing to feel like the dumb kid in the math class.

2. If youre scheduled to give a presentation to an international client whose culture values promptness and can damage your relationship, but you show up late, now someone has to fill in for you.
3. If you have clients who made an appointment, and youre late, someone else has to take time from their client to greet your and get them situated.

1. I waited outside of a Target for 10 minutes until someone who was doing inventory finally opened the door. The poor guy bitched the whole way because the jerk didnt just disappeared and he had to take time from his own work.
2. We had to brief a Japanese colonel on how we were planning to maneuver our aircraft for a large air show that was coming in. The superintendent was late coming in so I had to do a crash on the slides and pretty much stall until he came walking in.
3. My wife makes her hair appointments months in advance. If she is late or a no-show, she would have to pay a fee. The girl she went to would regularly show up 15-20 minutes late. Another girl from one of the other studios would have to stop with her client, get my wife situated and then tend back to her own client. My wife finally moved on when she decided to loc her hair.

You being late affects your boss less than it does your clients/customers and the people who have to pick up your slack.
Holy rube goldberg. Why are you working for a billionaire that is stealing from you when you could be using that creativity to create some very interesting stories?

Watching the series about Semekama and the Marsh pride and they keep reusing the same scenes.

I don't mind the corny GoT narration as I can separate the narration from the truth of animal nature, but there are entire episodes of the same scene + narration of previous episodes. Beautiful shots, but it's like they took 2 hours of footage and made 10 episodes out of it.

James Gunn is pretty good at what he does. DC couldn't have picked a better person to lead their ship. If DC fails after this, there is no hope for that franchise.

Actors are important and can make a bad movie enjoyable, but it starts with the writers and directors to make a good movie. Even then, I think the directors have been solid picks. Raimi is great at what he does and always is able to add a unique flair to his movies (I think there were some really enjoyable scenes in the MoM and the acting itself was fine). He got a lot of blame for that movie, with some calling him a hack, but people need to start looking at writers here.

Assuming Trump is on the ballot, the MAGA cult will be in higher numbers next year...

but 2020 showed that Trump on the ballot helps democratic turnout too, and with abortion on top of that... while I think the Senate most likely will flip, I have to feel that Republicans are going to have a disappointing "win" similar to 2022, especially if the house flips right back to the democrats.

No matter what voters say, a single issue usually takes precedent over anything, and every time abortion laws are on the ballot, it has not been pretty for the elephants. Texas better tread lightly as they have had some close contests for what used to be a MAGA haven, and their governor is not helping the cause.

Roe vs Wade being overturned was the monkey's paw wish for the Republicans.

So did I; it was extremely fitting for the show, and had some pretty good lines. I have listened to the full song, but didn't know it was only completed after the fact, assumed the show just took a shortened version to fit in the allotted time. That's pretty cool!

I still like the whole The Fugitive gag from the first part of the series finale, both when Monk snagged the pocket of his prison jumpsuit on a tree branch and it ripped, causing him to have to search a random camp for the correct color of thread to sew it back up again, as well as the canine units being unable to track Monk due to his constant habit of having to touch random things coming in handy as he literally touched the trunks of every single tree in the woods apparently. XD

Honestly, happy for her. If she was killing it in her Broadway role, enough for them to think a movie would be successful, she should get the opportunity to make the big theater bucks.

I want a Beetlejuice musical movie adaptation with Alex and Sophia returning. Love the way Sophia sings (there are rumors that she left on bad terms, but I feel those rumors are false given many different factors and people just like drama) as she really has a mastery of her voice, and Alex has done a wonderful job recreating the Beetlejuice character in a way that is iconic in its own right apart from the Keaton version. Obviously, won't happen any time soon due to Beetlejuice 2 being a thing, but still.

Also always felt Hamilton could get a movie adaptation. I feel it would get quite a nice budget to bring the musical to the big screen with the level of success it had.

Imagine if The Thing or Little Shop of Horrors (a musical remake), both iconic remakes that outdid their original counterparts (and the originals were considered good for their time) came out today? People would cry about it and say Hollywood has ran out of ideas and that the original was good and didn't need a remake.

As a kid, something like the shadow realm honestly sounds cooler than just death anyways.

Edit: In a way, some of the weird things in kids' television led to some cool, creative solutions. Like, to avoid saying "I will kill you," many kid tv shows used quite a few cool combination of words to say the same thing without using the word "kill."

Sometimes restrictions can lead to more creativity than flat out just being able to do anything.

While the internet won't forget about Amber, I wonder if the demographic that went crazy for Aquaman will care as much.

I wonder if this might be the biggest drop in perhaps revenue% that a sequel might ever have if the trajectory continues.

We're talking about a 1 billion+ dollar movie. Drops like this usually are over a series of movies, not like that.

Of course, if the movie is good, I think it has a decent chance at legs. GotG3 had an admittedly disappointing opening for the type of movie it was, but because it was considered great by many, it helped it move to a respectable box office.

The worst part is Gen Alpha is going to be the Andrew Tate generation. Eghh.

Edit: Basically saying all those guys on twitter are going to be a taste of what's coming real soon.

I think it will be March 7th, 2024. A couple days after the Super Tuesday, in which he realizes he's never had a chance.
