LET'S GO! I said before that you could do a bunch of different movies with this same concept! Just give me an entirely new cast of people to have their lives irrevocably destroyed. Don't touch the origins of the messed up hand because that is the mistake people always make with these movies. Just give us another group of people to mess with the hand too much.

Man, still thinking about Talk to Me. The whole script is so crisp. Like if this was a big budget teenage horror they'd have some kind of stupid subplot looking into the origin of the hand and junk but this one doesn't waste your time.

I loved how it's just this really personal, self-contained story of this completely fucked situation they're in after messing with something they shouldn't have. It didn't need to be anything more than that and it's so good as a result.

I also really enjoyed the double meaning of "Talk to Me" and "I let you in" in terms of mental health. Where the lead is clearly having a ton of issues but doesn't really discuss them, and she doesn't really let anyone in except for one vulnerable person. And that same vulnerable person is desperate for someone to talk to him about his problems and let them in.

Just such a damn good film. They could easily make another movie with a completely different cast and it could probably be pretty excellent too. This concept has a ton of ideas they can do with it. But it's an incredible film.

Watched Talk to Me.

That is one god damn great film. Go watch it. Extremely quality indy film that was so tense and chilling. Outstanding ending. Loved the whole thing.

I wanted to see Cobweb, but I'll have to travel like half an hour for it. Somehow it's not in any of the theaters around here. Very weird.

The super limited showings and releases mean I probably won't check it out, unfortunately. I was very interested to see it though. Completely freaking bizarre that when horror movies are an easy profit in a sea of box office bombs that they'd sacrifice it to the Barbenheimer weekend. You could put it on literally any other weekend and it'd make it's profit back and then some, no problem.

I like that one a lot! Very fun movie.

Cleft Lip Key Fingers was a good monster for The Last Key. I just remember the trailer doing the sound mixing in one of the scenes in the movie a ton better than the actual movie did itself.

Other than that it left zero lasting impression on me.

Flame Chun-Li not being fire when I desperately needed new fire people and she was fire in Japan was actually my tipping point.

That's actually what makes people think it's an oversight with the new event mission, because they say you need to use Flame Chun-Li for the best reward in that fight, but she's not available to purchase now and was, after getting all the discount tokens $29.99. So even if you wanted to use her for completion and were willing to pay for her, you straight up can't now. But in the Japanese version she's be available to just pull regularly still.

It's better than the alternative which is believing they're setting up for incentivizing for people to purchase these characters ahead of time to complete missions. Which feels more gross.

But regardless, the fact it has no intention of being resolved just sucks. And that you can't get her or Nero or a few other characters without purchasing is awful. Even more awful is characters who are temporary but have extremely rare pulls are completely useless at the simple A rank. You need SSS rank to make them viable, which costs hundred on hundreds of dollars for pulls for a chance for that. You're more than likely needing to spend over $1000 to make them viable in play for special summoning.

Just gross practices all around, and it gets worse as time goes on. With more easily accessible free content, they're more likely to keep things active and spend, but not when things seem so crazy unattainable.

What also really bugs me is them clearly making fighters who are regular elements like Flame Chun-Li or Vega and turning them into Infernal or Fashion to force purchases. There's only been a small handful of elemental releases since launch which is pretty shitty too.

I just don't foresee it improving.

Yeah, I've been closer to dropping this game now just because it's so predatory. Characters locked entirely behind paywalls is gross. But then having rewards also being locked behind those paywalled characters, when those paywalled characters aren't even available to purchase? That's really bad.

I like the novelty of Street Fighter stuff, but I just kind of hate the way this game is run. Especially when there doesn't seem to be any balance stuff being done. Just more paid content to buy. And I've already capped out on my character building aside, and the only thing I can do to improve them are leveling up, which kind of sucks.

I dunno. I just think this game is only going to get worse with the predatory practices, and I'm thinking I'm better off getting out of it now before that.

Watched Run Rabbit Run on Netflix because the girlfriend really likes that actress from Succession.

It was not very good. It has the bare minimum to keep you somewhat interested throughout it, but it never delivers on creep factor aside from a couple scenes which they probably built the movie around. Also has a completely terrible ending that just screams they had no idea how to end it.

So of course it's #1 on Netflix.

My team is currently at level 309, and I am sitting on 38k Breakstones, so you got a while yet. lol I'm at a 335 limit now.

Currently on 33-13 right now, and I'm going to be able to push to 33-20 easy, I think. I'm in the 190+ range for the Towers and trying to get to 200. On 388 on Supreme Fist, and I might be able to push to 400.

I can't get the very last challenge in the very last mission in Path of Trials, which is annoying. My squad just can't overcome that team with no attack or Assassin fights. It sucks.

More importantly, I got my M. Bison to SSS! He's tearing it up now. I probably need to be doing more Global Operations now. Been a while since I tried those.

We get a Vergil mission soon, I guess.

I just saw Sick that came out this year on Peacock.

Actually shockingly good movie. It's set during the height of the Covid-19 outbreak and two college girls go to quarantine in a cabin by the lake, but someone is trying to kill them.

It featured some really clever usage of home invasion horror that I feel is normally played out, but it had some great directing that made it stand out. Really great directing, honestly. And I thought it was going to be more of a horror comedy from the trailers but it really didn't turn out to be aside from a few gags.

If you're looking for an easy watch, I recommend it. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Lol Young Avengers going to finally unite in one of these Avengers movies and be full on adults.

Just got to world 32. I had some luck with getting a lot of experience to power up big.

Still trying to get my Flame squad over the 180 Flame Tower hump, but I'll probably be able to complete it after it opens up again.

Stuck on Supreme Fist 374 but that's a thing you gradually climb past as you level so I think I'm doing alright there.

I've pretty much maxed out rewards on the event already. Got an A+ Evil Ryu which is I guess a game changer in PvP to deal with Bison (lol good luck getting him high enough to fight him though unless you whale). I could probably stand to go through more Guild Operations still.

Yeah, Boogeyman felt like a PG-13 horror movie, but it did a lot with the theme of grief that I really appreciated too. The monster design though was absolutely A+ though and probably the best part of the movie. Really stunning that they could show so much of the bastard and he's still effective. But they had a lot of ideas. Some of the set pieces they had were tremendous too, and I think that's something that gets overlooked a lot in horror movies sometimes. Some of them were just so simple but just had added touches and placement that worked so well.

I think your placement is probably right, but I probably would've snuck it to the bottom of A tier.

Just saw The Boogeyman. Much better than I expected! A lot of scares and creative stuff they did with the settings and monster. The monster itself is seen a lot more than I expected, but it never lost what made it terrifying. Outstanding work with the monster itself because it always came across as a god damn nightmare.

Definitely recommend it.

You're gonna need to stop Bison from finishing combos. And you're going to need to not do too much damage to him. While also getting enough damage to do this all under the time limit.

Finally beat 28-40 once I realized the Mad Ryu assist is busted on my lower tier M. Bison. 20% of Mad Ryu's attack when you're 50% or lower health, when he resurrects below that most times is just busted.

Then I powered to 29-4 so I could get the tier 2 gear idle drops.

I think anyone speaking positively about Age of Ultron needs to rewatch it. I did so recently and it was just so bad. Nothing works in this film and it's oversaturated with quips.

There was a big storyline about Wanda being outcasted from Krakoa, the mutant haven that has been going on far too long, because she was never a mutant, and her doing stuff that sets up the spoiler above to earn the respect of mutants again.

Welp. Looks like the comics are going to try to make another character more like the MCU counterpart.

In the legendarily bad Spider-Man run right now, they randomly killed Ms. Marvel who was barely involved in the book at all. Just the most minor character. It's looking like she'll be revived by the X-Men and they'll do some voodoo to make her a mutant instead of an Inhuman. Her powers will probably end up more like the MCU because that's how comics do.

I don't know how you're lacking in cash unless you're somehow spending all of it in the store maybe. Everyone always has an abundance of cash.

It currently costs me 11 Million Experience to get partially leveled up, and probably at least 90 Million total to get a full level now.

Apparently your Breakstones bottom out again eventually as you get into the 300 levels as well.

Oh, and I'm finally ready to start spending my Divinations on Bison since I Got SSS 5* on my main team finally. Time for the Bison grind.

I'm left on the final 3 fights of the explore mode but they're kicking my ass. Hopefully after my workshop commission comes through I can put enough points into stuff to get back.

Also, if you're looking for breakstones and you are going to pay money, the best investment you can do is in that one Grant that offers mostly breakstones in it. You get a ton from that one.

I'm also trying to get my towers up. I'm stuck on 157 on Flame Tower, but my squad of Dee Jay, Adon, Mayor Cody, and Dhalsim isn't strong enough to overcome. I keep getting close though. Trying to get to 160 since it gives another unlock in the Dojo.

Edit: It's the Heroic Grant, and you max it out easy if you've been keeping up on Shadaloo City.

Yup, I'm stuck on that one now too. I cleared the rest.

I guess just keep piling points into the attack cores.

Got Attack Core Type B to 15 and then beat Dante no problem. So remember to put points into that Attack Core!

There's a bonus at the bottom with the Inlay Core which gives you Crit Rate, Pressure, and Life Steal Rate. And when HP is higher than 50%, it gives you 6%+ more damage. I've heard it will give you enough damage to overcome the ridiculous heal rate later on in exploration where I'm stuck at.

Oh apparently you should spend your points in the work bench on Module 2 in order to breeze through the Exploration.

I got 3 Dante's, but I saved my pulls from the calendar lead up. Apparently he's not that good.

I'm currently stuck in the explore mode trying to fight his boss battle. It's complete bullshit and he has a tag Elena that heals his entire health from like 50%. I have no idea how you're expected to beat it.

I replaced Mad Ryu with M. Bison in the stage I was stuck on in the main quest and after being stuck on it for almost a week and I beat it second try.

I don't think I can turn back now. M. Bison breaks the game too much even when I put no effort into building him.

I have replaced my fully built SSS 5* Mad Ryu in PvP fights with an A+ M. Bison and I went from losing every fight to winning every fight even when they have an SSS Bison.

That's how fucking busted Bison is. Good god.

She-Hulk has some good stuff in it and I love Tatiana Maslany, but overall it's just filled with some of the worst directing in the MCU with embarrassingly bad action sequences and terrible editing, and the overarching plot kinda sucks. It felt like there was very little quality control in it.

Sometimes it felt like they nailed it, sometimes they felt like they missed the mark entirely with the tone of the show and what She-Hulk is, and I still don't have a sense they got to where they needed to for the character either.

And man, did the show just drag with the plot lines of her personal life and trying to find a boyfriend for what seemed like it went entirely too long. I just could not care about her struggles with her love life since they went on and on.

And the fact there was no real villain or anything hurts too, and then it just turns into that disaster in the last episode where they felt like they were a lot more clever than they actually were.

As a whole the show just doesn't feel good, and it feels like a real misstep where if they had more quality control it could have been a lot better than it was.

Bruh Black Widow was atrocious in Iron Man 2. lol Scarlett Johansson had negative charisma in that movie and flat out seemed like she didn't want to be doing the movie.

I think the only MCU stuff I consider bad are Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Widow, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ms. Marvel, 50% of She-Hulk, and maybe Moon Knight. I don't know how I'd feel after a re-watch of Moon Knight though.

Thor 2 is a movie that on a re-watch isn't as bad as I remember though. It at least has a vision and everything seems fleshed out, it has gorgeous visuals, and the action scenes are fun. And it has Thor-Loki scenes too, which carry a lot of the narrative.

It's a flawed movie, and definitely on the lower end of the scale, but I don't think it's a bad film.

Iron Man 2 just has so little action, and most of the action there isn't that great. Tony Stark does next to no actual superhero stuff until the end of the movie with the HAMMER Drones, which is really the only good action in the movie. Most of the characters who aren't Tony Stark are half-baked there, except for Justin Hammer who is so awesome and should return.

It's just not an interesting movie at all. Still better than Iron Man 3 though, which is terrible.

I just did 8 Battle Royales and lost all 8 because the other team always had M. Bison. Lol they gotta nerf that character man. Absolutely fucking busted. I feel like I need to start trying for him just to keep up with any PvP stuff.

I just saw Evil Dead Rise finally.

Fuck, what an absolutely awesome thrill ride. Pushes every boundary and looks so slick doing it. It may be my favorite horror movie this year. Incredible stuff. Huge recommend.

Finished the other DLC missions too. Im really curious to see how Storm follows up on them, since she feels kind of thematically disconnected from the other DLC characters.
The others are various degrees of antihero that the group is sort of wary to invite in, but shes generally an unambiguous hero. I wonder how shell end up involved in shady vampire business.

I watched the first two episodes of From Season 2. It's still awesome and very slept on!

I enjoyed The Northman a ton, but it's still probably second to last on this list of 9 movies, with Midsommar being dead last, so much lower than I'd rate The Northman.

Midsommar being so bad is probably why this is hard for me.

Peele is the first place for me, easy. If you took out Midsommar, I'd put Ari second. But with Midsommar included, I'd put Eggers above him.
