Sen. Pat Leahy (Vt.), the senior Democrat on the Appropriations Committee, said hes never seen a spat play out so publicly at a senior-level White House meeting during all his years in Congress.

Ive only been here with eight presidents, said Leahy, who was elected to the Senate in 1974.

Somehow hes made up his mind that it will make him look good to have a Trump shutdown but a Trump shutdown costs taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars, creates havoc and does nothing for border security, he added.

I only got to play it because a friend brought his Switch with him when visiting me this weekend. I'm holding out to get my own Switch until Animal Crossing is announced because I know there will be a bundle and I'm sure not planning to buy a Switch more than once

ANYWAY. Game is dope. Hope to play more of it soon. It is definitely a faster game @green_dragon. Will take adjusting to all players' movesets, even if they were your main.

Tagging since my brother and my mom both have Switches so I could try to play online with y'all in the next couple weeks.

The only reason I don't see leon coming over is that he's not in marvel vs Capcom games, like chris is. Plus it would be cool if his super moves is punching bolder that crushes you.

I'm taking a few quantitative analysis classes right now, and I've really started vibing with stats. It's such a pain, and I'm crap at R, but messing around with data and deriving so much information from massive data sets is pretty fun.

Yeah, and it's very useful to learn. Even if you plan to become a data analyst or programmer, you'll be able to understand the concepts and how to explain data to others.

Yeah, this. I didn't mean for the "requirements" to come off as hard-line rules; it's just the pattern that seems to have been followed with the addition of characters like Snake, Sonic, Pacman, Joker and the like. Across their entire franchise, at least one of their games has been published onto a Nintendo console. I do think Nintendo is trying to stick with that theme, as it gives them more leeway to consider characters like Crash Bandicoot or Sora.

Y'all, Smash Ultimate is fun as fuck. It's fast action, smooth maneuvering, and balanced fighting techniques across a butt load of characters. I'm bought into the hype.

Nintendo has gone buck wild with the character additions in Ultimate. With the surprise announcements like Piranha Plant and Joker from the Persona franchise, and the knowledge of upcoming Challenger Packs, it looks as if there may be a full range of new fighters Nintendo plans to include.

However, all the "out there" characters that have been added across Smash titles tend to meet two major requirements:
1. The character's first appearance was in a video game: Why Goku and Superman will not be added anytime soon. If the character was created in another form of media and was not originally created in a video game, it likely won't be in Smash.
2. The game featuring the character has been published on a Nintendo console: How characters like Snake, Ryu, Ken, and Joker got in. All Smash characters come from a video game franchise with at least one game published on a Nintendo console. Of course, the issue of intellectual property ownership is a factor that I don't think most of us can accurately account for without disclosure of internal information.

With that said, I've been thinking about potential characters that meet the two major requirements, have enough notability to be added, and could have a full fighting moveset:
Banjo and Kazooie
Sora (Kingdom Hearts)
Crash Bandicoot
Dixie Kong
Boo
Chris or Jill (Resident Evil)
Waluigi (ffs nintendo just do it)

For now, let's discuss other possible character additions! Who else do you consider as a potential add? Feel free to list characters by likelihood of entry.

If it's still too vague, then I'll list the number one reason: a business standpoint. It can only stand to make them money.

This assumes a lot about the operating expenses it would take to remake or remaster the game.

So yeah, there is no established evidence that anyone knows that Capcom will start such a project.

5 year plans are smart for sure, but do you ever try to plan for further in the future?

Definitely. I'm always thinking ahead to the future because it means I don't have to think about the present!

what job you ultimately want to land yourself in 10 or 20 years down the line?

This job I've been hired for can be a career in federal government if I want it to be. We'll see how it goes. I've also thought about potentially going back into nonprofits in a management role, or joining a think tank as a lead analyst.

what age you want to retire at? where you want to live, and who you want to live with?

Never thought about retirement age honestly; people in my family tend to live long and work good jobs until they feel like stopping.
I'm always thinking about relocating abroad to Canada or the Netherlands. I can't predict who I'll live with because I don't know whom I'll meet over time; that's why I dropped shit like "get married" from my plans. I can't really plan for or around that.

I try to plan my goals into 5-year plans. In 2014 I earned my bachelor degree, and I set a plan after graduation to work for 2 years in a career-relevant position before going back for graduate school to earn a better job. As of this Wednesday, I got the employment offer for the better job and will be graduating with two master degrees in 2019.

So 2019 will kick off my next 5-year plan, which as of now includes buying a home as a major to-do.

Resident Evil on GC was a remake of its original title. Resident Evil Zero on PS4/PC was a remaster of its original title.

REmake 1 and 2 are both built around different engines than their original titles. I think most RE3 fans would prefer a remake of the game than a remaster of the original game.
