Well dying at work would have happen to my business partner. I was done doing errands and was helping him close up shop for the day. I ask him is he ready he just nods. I go to help him out of his chair and his face just goes wide eyed. I can't get a verbal response. He had 2 mini strokes before. That's my worry. I ask him does he need to go to the hospital he nods yes. There were signs before that. His sister called him and he just mumbled. She didnt call me to tell me something wasn't right. I might have caught it earlier, who knows. Anyway he was sent to the hospital, then nursing home. Covid hit. And by Apr 3rd he had passed

You know something that I just found out? Lynching was recently outlawed in 2022 as a hate crime signed by pres Biden. Its baffling how it took that long. You would think that should have been the first thing on the table to go for african american rights but wow.

If you want the dark truth, its because most of them don't interact with the real world consistently. However, its not just attributed to gamers in particular. Its more attributed to people who don't interact (or very little) with today's society. Many of them develop paranoid fears of the outside world which leads those to search for groups who share their views. Many of these people become like this due to sever trauma, sheltering, or abuse and this is their way of dealing with the harshness of reality. Im not stating any of this is a justification for their views however. Many lash out with hate at the world around them because in their mind they believe the world hates them or a lot of times focus their anger on particular targets to release their stress.

Stop. I don't know if you know this user but he is not looking for advice. He is looking for people to sympathize with to fulfill his need for attention. He is not looking to better himself. Hundreds of people have given this guy advice for a long time now. He doesn't listen and comes back complaining about the same girl over and over.

Its really funny how upset many of you get because someone doesn't like the politics board. You guys can't handle it when someone doesn't share your opinion or like the same things you like. You immediately go straight to attacking other people without ever considering why would someone think the opposite. I don't like the board because everyone there were incredibly negative and at each others throats. You couldn't have a single discussion without someone getting personaly attacked for their opinion or someone trying get accounts shut down. They're pissed because their type of toxic far right bilge is banned from Gamefaqs, rather than the mods cracking down on any users who poo-pooed their transphobia, xenophobia, etc. You have to understand that a lot of these people are completely blind to just how toxic and extreme their views are-- and they view anything to the left of Ronald Reagan as toxic/Fascist/Marxist/whatever "regressive leftism/wokeism/SJWs/etc." They are likewise bitter that it is no longer socially acceptable to make sexist, LGBTQIA+-phobic, or racist jokes, anymore.

These guys are actually surprisingly similar to the KOS crew of the 00's. Those individuals were banned for multiple very severe violations of the ToU, and they nursed hatred against the site as well. Constantly attempting to hit the site with DNS's, creating user names with censor bypasses (their favorite was the N word, because of course it was) and posting in 1+ year old topics with 300-400 posts in order to get the topic nuked (this was back when modding a post did not delete the timestamp and username that posted it) I remember back when the banned user list existed. Some of these people would make up to 5 to 10 accounts per week (BigRedMachine was by far the biggest offender. After several years he managed to racked up more than 800 banned accounts. The next guy behind him had only wracked up 400 or 500 banned accounts.)
They sometimes attempted to frame LUE for off-site invasions back before and for the first 2 years after it got shut down. Of course, they also seemed to pick up quickly on any news that LUE was involved in an off-site invasion and gladly joined in (I've heard that they contributed to the defacement of that dead girl's Live Journal)

BTW, when I say "very severe" violations of the TOU, I am not talking about mere offensive posting. I'm talking about the aforementioned offensive usernames, abusive language of a racist and sexual nature towards the admin and his wife, illegal activities (mainly spamming ROMs/cracks) and hacking/exploits of the site. Those last two are such severe violations that blatant attempts resulted in an instant KOS.

I stand exactly by what I say. That place was awful. Not a single person could have a discussion without personal attacks, ban baiting, doom posting, or flame wars. It was if you dont think like me your against me. There was no real political discussions to be had.
Ish was so bad users would go on separate boards just to talk about how awful that board was.

When it comes to politics, the only difference between the politics board and CE is that most of the blatant shitposters and trolls can't get back into CE. The big topics about politics that blow up on here are otherwise nigh identical.

I didn't want this site to die (as it existed before all this shit ...now I guess there's not much point left to it), and I'm pissed they closed Politics and all these other boards and instituted these stupid not-rules (rules would actually be posted).

Im happy they closed politics. That board needed to die. Way too many people trying to start flame wars over political discussions. The last thing we need is the political ideologies of groups of people who never leave their own homes. Gamers and politics doesn't go together.
