Hmm, so the current theory is that Enoch knowingly uses that wax since it'll remind Sithe of a dark secret 10 years ago, so she'll be compliant when she sees the wax figure on her investigation.

And since there's a bloodstain on the camera from the wax exhibit, and there's Asman's name on the newspaper picture..

Maybe in truth Enoch, Sithe and Asman were all there that night after the execution? Sithe had made an arrangement with the Professor to fake his death.
Then as Sithe (let's say with Asman) went to dig up the Professor, Enoch witnessed the whole thing. There was some scuffle, but the Professor ended up dead, with his blood getting on the camera. Sithe and Asman told Enoch to zip it and keep it a secret.
Wait, but Sithe and Enoch conspired to (presumably) kill Asman.
So maybe Asman and the Professor coerced Sithe to fake the autopsy report and Enoch to keep his mouth shut. Then Sithe and Enoch couldn't stand it anymore and conspired to kill Asman...

So I've been mulling this over and I think this next set of recommendations might be the last. Some other factors involved but mainly that I don't have as much free time as I did when we started.

So after we go through everyone on this new rotation (which is actually still some time away), the topic would still be open; we just wouldn't be adding to the queue anymore. And of course I'll keep the topic series going until I finish everything.

Figured I should let people know in case they want to stick around for their last recommendation.

I'm only at his first testimony yet I like him a lot already. The animations are a ton of fun and he's like really smart and savvy too. He'll be satisfying to take down.

I misinterpreted things and thought that the pun there was "Asian" as in she was never actually British and that's why she covered her eyes all the time.

I wouldn't put it past the localization team! She might very well be Asian...

My friend, who's also playing this game (and catching up fast to me), proposed that the masked apprentice was Kazuma.

And well we did have both Olive Green AND Shamspeare as foreshadowing of people thought to be dead but turns out to be alive. Can it be really...???

Yeah, I gotta admire his sincerity and love for science...I suppose.

Anyway, we were in a quandary: do we propose that the machine was fake or do we implicate Bunnyhead by saying that the machine was real? Either way it would break his trust in us. :(

But before we could spiral down deeper into uncertainty a certain Non-Locum Judicial Assistant Esquiress showed up and threw us to the ground! Oh no Phoenicius has really lost his marbles now...he's hallucinating...

Or not! Turns out Susato is really here! She's here for the Forensic conference next month. Actually the ones invited were her father and...the ominously named judge. Judges never get names unless they're crucial to the story, so I've got my eyes on him!

Also of note is that Jezeille Brett is a fake name! I knew it, she's Gina isn't sh-
Ah, actually her name is A. Shinn? What kinda name is that? Though I remember that her name was on that big book at the end of the last game, alongside Kazuma's name...hmm, what is going on here...

Oh the kid's not so scary once he took off his mask. But he's still a brat.

Aaand the kid snapped some pics, including one right before the explosion. We've got it now! And the beam of light thing must've been caused by the laser crossbow we found.

Man, the culprit is really sloppy huh. Leaving evidence every way.

I gotta say though I'm enjoying the Italian and Bohemian accents and words greatly. The "wh!" cry was hilarious.

There was another explosion?

Oh so my tentative hypothesis is that the Asman seen on the stage was actually a wax figure.

After it exploded, a balloon carrying the body of the real Asman was made to explode, dropping the 'carriage basket' that was actually another birdcage containing the body.

The wax figure might have been dropped under the stage or launched somewhere else.

And the culprit is the demon kid.
...him, or this supposed 'assistant' who helped Bunnyforbrains build and operate the machine.

Anyway, we learned that the wax figure of "The Professor" has been kidnapped. Hmm, this may very well be connected to the "teleportation" as a fake body.

Anyway we're starting the trial! I'm happy to see that we have six brand new sparkling jurors! How exciting.

Another great 'deduction' by Herlock Sholmes. He thinks the gentleman fainted after realizing how much he paid for a waxwork...a feeling I know all too well! Maybe we don't need to course correct after all.

Well, darn. But we got some clues. A burnt material of some sort and a big chunk of machinery. Did the culprit use balloons to move the body to the tower?

Anyway we looked for Sholmes and found him at a was museum. Madame Tusspell's, even.
That bit about Sholmes pretending to be a figure was hilarious. And I think I spy Roly Beate here?

Yeah I think I mentioned Inspector Lestrade when she first appeared in...TGAA-3? That sounds about right. So happy for her! And her slightly renewed design is super nice! And her dynamics with Gregson is a great one already. And overall I'm just happy to see her again. Wot a pleasant surprise.

Oh he's alive never mind.

The defendant is a "Bunnybrained" kooky professor, Albert Harebrayne. The explosion killed his investor and mafia don Odious Man. He swore it was an accident.

We visited Van Zieks in his office. He looks no worse for the wear, despite taking a bullet to the head. He also introduced us to his new apprentice, a mysterious masked man who might be Graydon in disguise.
There's also a giant ass portrait on his wall who's actually NOT Van Zieks. Perhaps it's either his father or his brother who died and that would make him a mirror image to Phoenicius.

We also learned that the professor and the Reaper were college mates. And that he was a soft boy (and the darling babby of the Van Zieks clan) during college but something happened that that made him the cold and ruthless Reaper that we know now.

This is all very intriguing backstory. It'll be interesting to see Al's reaction to his buddy Van Zieks being a cold blooded monster in the courtroom tomorrow.

But now it's time to visit the Great Exhibition to see wacky turn-of-the-century science and arts! ...oh, and there's the crime scene too.

So. We went into Soseki's room and found the chest in the ceiling.

We opened it to find...an unusually large collar with a familiar emblem and what looks like bloodstain on it. What is going on?!

Okay, onwards to the next case! Oh, it's the Exhibition! Nice! I did wish we can visit it and turns out we'll likely get to do it now. And there's a...teleportation machine? Wat. o-o

Anyway, Phoenicius is sulking because it's been 6 months since he'd done any lawyering. And Sholmes is sulking for some annoyingly mysterious reason that's probably dumb and random.

It really shows how much of a direct continuation GAA2 is. The entirety of GAA1 felt like 2nd cases and even the 5th case felt like a 3rd case at best. Meanwhile the 2nd case of GAA2 already feels like a fourth case and the third case is like a 5th case.

....welp! At least I'll get the buck for my bank.

Yeah, it was kinda weird. As is the fact that Van Zieks allowed us to call Ms. Green as a witness without establishing her involvement yet.

Also I dunno if it was just me or was that very long for a second case lol.

But well, overall it was pretty good still and we could make her smile in the end.

And now they ask me to point a culprit.
This is...hard.

So the one who lived in Soseki's room was Duncan, and before that, the killer (Selden? something like that).

At first I thought it would be Selden because he wanted to poison people who would try to mess with his room. But he's been dead for months.

Then I thought it was Shamspeare, trying to implicate Soseki so he'll be jailed and Sham can get the room. But it's much too roundabout, if he wants to implicate Soseki there would be easier ways to do it.

Then...I don't wanna believe it, but...

Olive Green would have access to poisons, as evidenced by her almost chugging a bottle of poison herself.

She...would have a motive, if she knew or deduced that Shamspeare killed Duncan Ross.

And there was the yet-to-be-explained remains of an envelope, the rest of which was in her possession alongside a letter.

And...and...she said something about watching it until the end. And she was so harsh on herself, just like Susato was when she made that peephole.

Oh god, it's her, isn't it? The sweet and timid and tragic and lovably round Olive Green...

...dammit.

My pleasure! I'm still wondering what's the deal with Duncan Ross's name though.

Also we recently learned that by blowing into a gas pipe opening, you can make the lights flicker. Blow harder, and you can turn off lights and stoves. Alright, makes sense now.

Shamspeare has been trying to kill Soseki to claim the room and find the hidden treasure.
