So I decided to take on the Arena with my Brave Lance Effie and check out the Advanced teams (I initially held off on inheriting skills so the difficulty wouldn't spike), and my God, now I see why she's so high up on the tier list. You need specialized characters to kill her or you need to double up on your mages. Regular physical units scratch her armor and on my phase she's going to ORKO. Pair her up with Ninian just watch her sweep. I'm tempted to make a team with just her and 3 dancers now. Or... go for 2 dancers and keep Lilina on board to take care of any Axe/Green/Armor Effective users that would definitely make a dent on her HP.

On the side note, I made an all flier team with Palla, Michalis, Shanna, and Subaki. It works... sort of. It was a struggle before Palla learned her Goad Flier skill and Shanna with her Threaten Speed skill and desperation skill as Shanna couldn't take a hit and Subaki's lance makes him useless against Green users. But with those skills in effect, there's some respectable synergy to be had in the team and it really shines on the volcano map where infantry and cavalry units are held back by the terrain. Archers still tear the team apart which makes the Arena a dangerous proposition.

Anyhow, how many orbs do you guys have stocked up? I have 175 in hand, with 6 paralogues orbs to pick up and the 5 orbs from the take out 15 LV. 40 flying units achievement is achievable now.

It's not that it's not possible, it's that they're maintaining a level of skepticism as there are always 3 sides to every story, the victor's side, the loser's side, and the truth. In our case, we've heard the victor's side since her story came out first. But we don't know the loser's side of the story, and for all we know, there could be damning details in there that could make for a different truth then what was initially presented.

No, it's not flash forward, it's just a timeskip where the narration is on a different cast of characters. They're going to put the focus back on the Paradis (the island that Eren and the crew are on) in the next chapter. But Flaming is correct in the reason why there's a timeskip was to buy our heroes time to rebuild their infrastructure and develop the resources to take on Marley when they return to try to capture Eren.

With Effie inheriting a Brave Lance (I got it from Donnel), I had her move over to the lower forest square in the same column as the Axe user to draw over the Ninja and had everyone else back into the corner with her. The next turn I had Effie kill the Ninja and move over to the right forest square so the axe user couldn't get to her (via Ninian's dance) and Navarre and the other Ninja would focus on finding the rest of my team on the other side of the forest. Then I positioned everyone so that they could take down the Ninja and Navarre between that turn and the next (I can't remember if I positioned them to start to fight then but I do recall telling myself to hold back, there was no need to rush to them).

One pitfall I see with trying to copy this over to your team is Navarre. My Ephraim was able to wall him with his really good defense and being Blue so I didn't perceive him as a threat unless he was backed up by both Ninjas. Against your Camilla, you might get doubled and killed.

I didn't use a flier. I just won again without Hector in a single try. I use Kagero or literally any ranged, I kill the axe rider, reposition with somebody, reposition that somebody, lure them out, kill everybody with the healer being the last to be killed, Sharena one shots Navarre, so

That's a pretty sweet strategy... and realize that's a specific (and no doubt creative) set up, which falls in line with what I said about it not being easy (I had to look up what reposition was). I did have a similar idea to that, I trained up a Donnel and I passed his Brave Lance, Drag Back, and Reciprocal Aid to Effie with the intention of oneshotting the Ninjas and and pulling back out of range with the protection of the forest. But as I went to learn the new skills, my hand slipped and I accidentally learned Reciprocal Aid instead of Drag Back.

Thank you RNGesus for at least giving me Ninian so I could finish the map.

But it's 100x more effort to take care of. I can respect any girl who takes care of their hair that way. My kid cousin's hair is natural but given that she's 5 and she doesn't see any woman or girl with her type of hair while living in the States (presumably not close to any black community), it makes her insecure about her hair and from what it sounds like, she's a bit envious of the standard straightened hairstyles.

The issue is that you're downplaying how difficult the map is when your strategy is contingent on using Hector.

Actually, this map really isn't hard. If you have a hard tank or a unit that can outright kill them all and survive, place it within the range of the 2 ninjas, there's one forest that does that, then it's pretty much a win. I can just use Triangle Adept Sharena to destroy Navarre, pick off the rest using literally anything.

The first part is the hardest, but I mean... you seriously just need to kill the ninjas and Navarre. It's seriously not that hard.

You can also lure them out using a flier and putting them on a safer spot or just kill anybody within range

Again, you're making it sound like this map is a breeze. I had to inherit skills for my Effie to win this map because of the ninjas were too dangerous. It's one thing to tank the ninjas, which my Effie easily could, but it's a different story to kill them and my Effie couldn't one shot them so they could maneuver around her and go to kill over one of my more vulnerable characters. And the Axe enemy was designed as the perfect Effie counter as brought up by Milkman, she can't tank a hit from full health even at 5* +Def or +HP (he does 53 damage to my +Def 4* Effie) unless you have a Rally Defense or anything to raise her defense by 4 points. Remember, it just takes one loss to lose the map.

I'm not arguing that it's not doable, but this map is no slouch.

And just where are you putting that flier so that it could bait out the ninjas? And who's the flier so I can make it?

Well that's how micro transactions work. Most people who aren't Moby Dick aren't going to buy in multiples of 75 all the time for maximum efficiency over many weeks. When a banner comes out that they're interested in, they'll buy just enough to make some number of pulls. Then when another one comes out in a month, they'll buy another small set. Obviously in hindsight they "should" have bought a large amount in bulk, but that requires foresight and control not to spend it all early.

The point of my post was to give you insight into what packs are efficient so you can develop a clearer foresight to what to aim for. Making excuses to buy a $20 pack and $3 pack over a $13 pack, after I just explained how they're being priced to take advantage of your money to make a hidden buck? Don't do that man. Since you guys have crossed over into the dark side and bought orbs, which orbs pack are you buying?

Here are the ratios,

$1.99/3 orbs = $0.66 per orb
$5.99/10 orbs = $0.59 per orb
$12.99/23 orbs = $0.565 per orb
$19.99/35 orbs = $0.571 per orb
$26.99/48 orbs = $0.562 per orb
$39.99/75 orbs = $0.533 per orb
$74.99/140 orbs = $0.536 per orb

Just bringing this up to shed light that you're paying more per orb if you choose the $20 pack over the $13 pack (by $0.006 difference) or the $75 pack over the $40 pack. The differences are small but it adds up if a good segment of the population are spending money on orbs.

I'd say your main choices from best to worst deal with the minimum amount to do a full summoning session are

$40
$27
$13

So yeah, if you're going to cave, at least stay protected so IS doesn't squeeze too much money out of you.

You're not tracking down the demographics of the town, you're tracking down the demographics of your student population. And it's easy to do, you have all the records of your kids in file, electronically. 90% of the busywork is done, just pull up the statistics off of that. Substitute the graduating class for the maximum student class size feasible from the pool of incoming student applications, and remove students until you return the threshold for qualifying for the PHBAO grant, and then send acceptance letters after that. This is operating on the assumption that they can't discriminate which students to drop, so they'll have to randomly assign numbers or by order of application submitted, and then keep dropping a student from the max number.

I initially said what I said because it's a grant that they no longer qualified for, one they had to reapply each year. They weren't losing funding, they were lost a privilege. If they wanted to keep it, they'd have to regulate the incoming student demographic since they don't have the authority to change the criteria for being approved for the PHBAO grant.

But since they can't regulate the student demographics, that's rough for them.

This is the danger of projecting morality onto the homeless. They aren't just lazy and they aren't just lost puppies. These are people usually with serious mental illness, drug problems, and maybe it isn't pc...but many have committed various violent crimes.

And there are also decent people who have had life hand them a rough hand of cards. Having a home doesn't exclude you from the those problems you mentioned nor does being homeless ensure you have those problems.

I have 96 orbs that I refuse to use until Ike comes in. But I need some Green characters. Every time I run into a Julia in the Arena, she obliterates my team. She doubles Ephraim and my 4 star Lilina (she's so adorable, but so slooooow) and I'm always put in a field where there's are partitions every other square so she's always a safe distance from my Effie.

I wasted so many orbs targeting only Blue summons, and I got a Corrin, which I'm pleased about, but she has +RES/-SPD. Noooo. So I'm left with a ton of blue units, pure fodder for Julia and I have like 1 or 2 3 star Pegasus Warriors, both blue. Maybe I could train Eliwood to take her on, but same problem, he's slow.

Today's pull, I got 2/5 Blue orbs (after previously wasting 5 orbs only to see 0/5 Blue), tried them and on my 2nd Blue Orb, BAM! Got Kamui. And when I continued that pull, I ended up getting the blonde new chick (at 5 stars!), and Lilina at 4*s.

So I'm training up this new team of

4* FemKamui
5* Ephraim
4* Lilina
2* Cecilia

At first, I thought this team is unbeatable, I have 2 Mages, one a mage tank and Ephraim to clean up (5*s are absolutely ridiculous! Every hit is an instant kill!). But then I started running into Pegasus Warriors who all cleanly wall my ladies. And Cecilia's 2* keeps reminding me about why you need to level up your star rank.

Otherwise, I have no qualms, I'm thoroughly pleased to go back to pulling a full summoning session instead of dropping 5 on a Donnel each time. And I'm desperately in need of good Green users too.

you can't use light's blessing on anything that matters so may as well use it for the story (They're not available in Arena or Grand Hero specials, so feel free to dump them onto story chapters). You'll mathematically come out much more ahead of you use them on later high-stamina costing story missions instead of saving a little bit of xp from losing at the training tower.

Touche. I just can't give those up since I don't pay attention to the monthly quests.

And I wouldn't underestimate the power of 4* units. I managed to rank at 44,000s in Arena with a non level 40 team that had a 4* corrin on it. the strategy really does matter more than the characters. It's only for higher levels do you need both characters + strategy. and mostly optional s*** at that point. I bet if I had enough level 40 4* units, I could probably put together a team that can beat them using only 4* units.

4* units are usable, but it sounds like your other units are 5*s, which will propel your team much further than a pack of 4*s.
