Because it was once used as the symbol for pounds (weight). 10# is 10 pounds.
I don't think I've ever seen that before but it would definitely be preferable to lbs. (had to confirm again if it's ibs ibls or what).

I'm not really an expert on electricity or batteries, but from the little I know I would actually expect the number to fluctuate a small amount and would be suspicious of it if it was too steady. it's an indication that you're measuring something real. it's not your HP in a game or something, it's like measuring the temperature or wind speed; there's a degree of inexactness involved.

i know its not accurate because i saw the percentage before shutting it off. say it was 80, if it turn it back on it will say 82 or 83, or 78 or 77. sometimes it will swap to higher or lower if i restart again.
yeah it's an estimate not an exact number. it's based on voltage (?) or something like that, which will vary, especially if you reset the load by turning it off and on again.

(? I assume it's based on voltage and reading a bit about it, it sounds like it can be, but it's also probably more complicated than that.)

a lot of those options. if I was communicating it to someone else I would probably say "pound sign" since I think that is the term for the keyboard key, but I don't really know why it's called that.

i drained it completely in january as someone recommended to do so
in modern times you do not want to let your battery drain to 0% pretty much ever. their capacity will shrink (by design) if you do. it should probably never be lower than about 10-15%, and if/when it is you should charge it immediately.

for example i'll shut off the phone and turn it back on it'll either be at a higher or lower percentage, but always quickly drops off one of those percentages whether lower or higher.
what precisely is the issue? you say that it's not accurate; how do you know that it's not accurate?

ok I think yes we should be the subject of the experiment. that would exclude looking outside or at a clock. but I think it would include things like: looking in the mirror, feeling your leg with your hand after banging it into the coffee table; pretty much any inspection of yourself, visual, touch, measuring your heartbeat, listening to yourself inhale, etc.

maybe I'm being too broad but I think almost everything we do could fit this. something like touching water (or anything) to see what temperature it is. but even more than that. the concept is: question about the world, gather information from the world to answer question. so, turning your head to look at what is causing a noise, looking outside to check the weather or time of day. even looking at your watch or a clock to see the time of day. (basically taking a reading from a measuring device to tell you about the state of the world.)

ok the question is on your body not with your body... hmm... my brain is alternating back and forth as to whether those are similar or different

I think they are actually the same, we just wouldn't think of light hitting our retina as "on our body". but using your finger to test water temperature is. and something like testing sharpness with your finger definitely is.

if the faucet can withstand being off, it can withstand dishwasher pressure
this seems logical to me and would be my intuition as well but when researching it I read a lot of comments suggesting the hose could rupture eventually (and indeed if I check my setup there are pretty thin/weak looking hoses going to the faucet). I don't even know where this "dishwasher pressure" would come from or how it would affect the tap source.

though it's definitely non-trivial to modify the faucet to be able to attach the dishwasher to it. (I barely have any counter-space as it is though and not even sure I could fit one but I sure miss having one.)

(may have to pay more renter's insurance too, can't remember)

hmm, are you sure you can? apartments (like mine) intentionally don't have compatible faucets partly since they don't want people having dishwashers because they can leak water. (even if you re-jigger the faucet anyway, the hose might not be strong enough to withstand dishwasher pressures and then it will leak and you can be in a tough spot.) (not trying to make things difficult, it's just the situation I am in that I wish I wasn't in.)

I used to have one but we're not technically allowed here and the faucets here don't work to hook up a dishwasher. I've been having (and hating) to wash everything by hand the past could years.

  • skip coffee (the day you want to be able to catch up on sleep at the end of)
  • go to bed at exactly the right time, which is early but not too early. hard to get right. (you should get 8-9 hours from when you actually fall asleep. don't start getting ready at the 8 hour mark. but also don't try to get 12 hours or you'll wake up too soon.)
  • don't eat too much right before bed.

I've done it with help before (more like I helped them do it for me), including brakes. it's "easy" in principle, but the hard part (more the brakes than the oil) is dealing with metal parts that like to practically fuse together and/or not quite fit together. things go smoothly until there's that one stupid part that just won't budge and then you waste all your time and energy dealing with that one stupid thing instead. and meanwhile you don't have a car if you can't get finished.

I don't see how there could be a "plan" beyond find a game that happens to have a spawn area that can spawn enough enemies. but you've said "billions" not even "millions", so I'm not sure such a game exists. the only plan then, besides finding the right game with the right spawn point, is to invest an insane amount of time.

no

I had a few iPods a very long time ago and I had an iPhone for a while but that was bought for me a long time ago as well. I would not buy anything Apple again that I can think of.

Only exception I suppose is that I do use iTunes still. most of the time iTunes will have any movie I look for when other services don't.

what could've happened is i went on gmail, saw the bolded email which was bundled with another doctor's email from the same place. maybe it wasn't ready to load in? clicked all mail and appeared in fine then. i didn't look in time but maybe when it was bundled when it disappeared maybe it went back to 1 instead of 2 being bundled because if i remember i also think it moved back down as an older email, until i clicked all mail.
sounds like webmail I guess? it's less separated than a mail client with IMAP, but maybe could still do the same thing, where what you see isn't necessarily in perfect sync with the server. I don't use webmail much.

if it's setup as IMAP then this kind of thing can happen since you're seeing a copy of the state that's on the server (if it updates locally, fails to update remotely, and then later refreshes local with the current remote state, it would do exactly what you described).

if it's POP3 then the "read" state flag would be written to your local hard drive instead and this probably wouldn't happen (maybe if your HD was majorly failing).

Is there an exercise that's specificly designed to help you learn how to maintain breathing? When I exercise I still inappropriately hold my breath
resistance training - you should inhale/exhale along with the exercise (not sure of wording but exhale on exert, inhale on release, I think...). cardio - I can't imagine holding my breath for cardio, that's not what you mean is it?

it requires a bench and barbell or dumbells, but the exercise Pullovers is supposed to increase lung capacity by stretching and increasing the size of the ribcage (though I wonder if maybe that's obsolete information and not really true)
