I watched Bakemonogatari not long after it first came out iirc and thought it was decent, but didn't pick it back up until a few weeks ago cause it just seemed like there was so much. I think it was definitely worth my time though, and probably deserves such high placements. Something about it doesn't quite click with me, but I still enjoyed it a hell of a lot and I see why people absolutely swear by it. GenesisSaga posted... It affects the Coconut Mall glitch in particular so you might be interested. That's fair enough, it's easier to justify doing it now because you can interact with people watching you and show off a bit, plus there's some financial incentives, but it's a big time commitment if you want to seriously go for records with how optimised they're getting now. I do love how active the game is still, and how inventive the community is. Oh damn I didn't recognise the name but I knew about the glitch and all, looked up your profile and there's some great times on a lot of tracks for the time. Was never personally involved in TTs since I just didn't have the patience or skill but I knew a fair few people who did and I've tried to keep up with the community as best I can. It's basically the same reason I believe a fair few Mexicans voted for Trump - "They only hate the bad ones who don't work hard. I work hard and they like me and want people like me here!" Hell, I've often heard similar thoughts as a Pole in the UK. A few other Poles I know have voted Tory/Brexit Party or Leave because they were not the ones they were targeting, just the "bad ones". Many native right-wing voters I know have told me they hate people from my country and want them out for coming in and stealing their jobs, scrounging benefits and healthcare, etc, but they liked me because I was working hard and polite? They think that most fit the stereotype, and justify getting along with you by saying how different you are. --- Perhaps the golden rock was inside us all along. |

Like, I love K-On to death but I'd pick most WSJ manga I've read over the source material, and there's any number of brilliant manga with bad adaptations where it'd be absurd to save the anime in something like this. I think the Kaguya manga really picks up around the mid 20s in chapters? It's once a certain character gets introduced.
