1850 to 2018. My personal favourite period has always been the early days of the communist era, and certain things about Mao, and that's part of what I've been reading about. Anyone else interested in Chinese histories? Although, having only read a little of this book, there's a clear anti-communist bias. I mean, I worry about the objectivity of the book. The author has a Western name, you know?

The toughest ones are the 5 or more hour speedruns. I don't really mind 2 or 3 hour speedruns, they weren't too much of a big deal, but...8 hours in Rayman: Legends is really hard going mentally. I mean, REALLY hard. Plus, of course, the general boredom of playing the same games again and again and again and again.

It's funny, I thought it turned out that CE had quite a few speedrunners on it, or, at least, people who liked watching speedruns.

I have the Master System, Saturn, and Switch ports. Best version ever is the Saturn port. If I had to guess, I would say that overall I have hundreds of hours in the game.

At first I improve a lot, then it slows down, and, assuming I stick at it, I basically no longer improve. I mean, speedruns are incredibly demanding in the first place, and only truly hardcore players should even attempt them, but it's...frustrating.

I've been speedrunning Rayman Legends (Wii U version) for a while, now. Maybe 2 years. I'm not sure. My very first speedrun was something like 13 hours, then I got down to about 11 hours, then 10 hours, and I've been improving for some time, but I keep ending up around just over 8 hours. Can't seem to push beyond that. I think my PB is 8 hours and 10 minutes, but today I was only about to do about 8 hours and 25 minutes. I make stupid mistakes; I struggle with the harder levels; I can't think up new ways to get around faster. I would consider just over 8 hours to be a really fast speed, although the WR is just under 6 hours, but I want to improve. Why me?

Anyone else have this problem with speedruns? Or do you have it, but don't view it as a problem? Do you feel satisfied, i.e. you've reached your peak?

A lot of folk have plenty to contribute to society through career. When it comes to genuises, or visionaries, people like Gates, Jobs, Einstein, Hawking, Mozart, Newton, I think people along those lines have a duty to just focus on career and advancing the human race. If you're a smart guy or girl, and you decide to have children, you're just throwing your life away. Completely. I'm not saying don't go out and have a social life, and I think getting married is borderline acceptable, but don't have children. That's it. Plus, a lot of people are jerks because they're parents. If you're some halfwit with little education, go ahead, have kids. Good for you. You're not capable of doing anything else. I know that, long-term, this will lead to cacogenics and a loser society, but at least intelligent people will be contributing.

This won't be easy. This is based on my own opinions. I've been playing various SF2s since the early 1990s. I'm not sure how charts place these characters, but, like I just said, this is based on what I think. This isn't how much fun they are to play as, but rather, how actually good they are.

I walked by a couple of times. I often go for walks in that area of town. To be quite honest, many years ago, when I was a teenager, I took my best friend there to go swimming, but she didn't want to, and just lay on the grass in her bikini (although I didn't complain).

It's a very scenic area in general. Fields, hills, huge houses (if you like checking out architecture).

They were swimming in the river, by a small waterfall I know, and they literally had about 7 or 8 random items lying around. Some energy drink, various other cups. Kinda scattered around the field. I'm usually indifferent to think kind of thing, but it was annoying.

I remember, they were swimming, but they kept looking about really nervously, like they were breaking some law (which they weren't, apart from maybe littering). They were in their early teens, I think.

Don't worry, I didn't Karen them, calling the police. That would've been....well, Karen-level behaviour.
