I have no clue! This is my third shiny in like a week and I'm not even looking for them (like I said I don't have a shiny Magikarp because I couldn't be bothered to go get it).

I wonder if there is something to what Murph said (again mnkboy said no so I have no clue). But the only pokemon I had been fighting here was Dugtrio. I'm trying to get Trapinch with absolutely terrible luck. I've been able to flee from any other pokemon I accidentally bump into, but I have to fight the Dugtrio's because some of them have Arena Trap. In an hour I've bumped into eight (I know because I OHKO them if trying and the move has 2/10 pp left) and the eighth one was shiny. It's probably just random chance, but also crazy lucky since I just caught a shiny Perrserker like a day ago.

Still no Trapinch though...

I just caught a shiny Dugtrio! My luck has been insane, apparently.

To offset this, I have spent an entire hour trying to get a damn Trapinch to spawn. I missed him my first time through the area since he's only a 1% chance. I wasn't even trying to battle other pokemon, the Dugtrio spwaned into me when I was running through a grass patch and he was shiny.

Suprak, somehow you are one of a few users with discrepancies between the general and master copies of info/stats for this topic. I am very confident that the standings stat of you having beaten 12 games is accurate and the tally of 8 in the main spreadsheet sheet is off. If you care at all, feel free to tell me four games that you feel you must have beaten for GotM purposes that you aren't getting credit for, and I will put you down for them no questions asked.

I don't know for sure except for Never Alone. I am 99% positive the only reason I ever played that game was as part of this. There are others that I played sometime around when this club was going on, but I dunno for sure if it was for this or before or after. I *think* God of War (2005) and Teslagrad were two of the others. The other one is a total guess as it was likely something I played once before the club and then replayed for the purposes of the club. I know I replayed Ghost Trick several years back, so that is my best guess.

I don't really mind if you don't want to count any of these though! I obviously didn't even notice until you pointed it out!

Finished Super Metroid!

Loved this game. It might be my second favorite Metroidvania outside of SotN. It gets exploration better than almost any other Metroidvania I can think of outside of SotN I think.

Got 85% item completion so I may go back and dig around some more just for fun.

I think I caught a shiny Dewspider? He's a different color and there is a little picture of a sparkle on the top right of his stats page.

Do they stay shiny when they evolve? Are shiny pokemon stronger? This is the first shiny I've caught. Is there something cool to them other than just being rarer?

I'd say he's about 80-85% likely at this point.

I don't want him too, but I'd say his odds are better now than they were in 2016. I think the end map looks exactly the same, with maaaaaybe PA coming back blue depending on the candidate.

good god, one of the worst things I've ever played

This is one of my kids favorite games and we bought it for him earlier this year. I play it for him sometimes and it is borderline unplayable. Horrendously programmed, and I absolutely agree that it is one of the worst games of all time. Not even an exaggeration. Nothing about this game is remotely entertaining.

Started playing Super Metroid! Im really enjoying it so far. It does almost everything that I love about Metroidvania titles, which is amazing since it came so far before the rest. Only two minor complaints so far. First, it really could use a fast travel system. Second, the jumping seems...off to me? A bit gummy I guess, and it just isnt fluid.

I happen to be playing Shantae Half Genie Hero at the same time, and this is really demonstrating the difference between a great Metroidvania and an ok Metroidvania.

Anyway, got around to watching the debate. I knew Warren was likely to come at Buttigieg but I was shocked everyone joined the dunk-a-thon (except Steyer), Klobuchar in particular chose to go way harder than I'd ever expect.

Warren had the most powerful moment IMO when she knocked it out of the park with her answer to the last question with the gimmick forgiveness/gift question (and also props for being the only one along with Yang to actually answer it as asked) Though outside that it didn't feel like one of her stronger debates.

I think Sanders and Biden did the best here. Klobuchar wasn't bad either. Neither was Warren but with the dynamics of the race as they are I'm afraid she needed more than that. Yang and Steyer just vanished in the second half. Steyer continues to be like the weirdest dude on the stage since when he does talk he's usually like "yeah warren and sanders are right but for some reason you should believe i'm better qualified than them to tackle these issues" but he's inoffensive and I'm always down for someone backing them up. Buttigieg had the worst performance IMO because at about the halfway mark everyone came at him and I don't think he handled it all that well. I also think any time Biden does well it almost by default is bad news for him because it weakens his "i'm young biden" appeal.

also calling sanders the loser is ridiculous, cnn showing mad disrespect for sanders's late break into standup. "He took my name in vain! He hurt my feelings!" lmfao.

I also laughed at the I WAS JUST WAVING TO YOU, JOE line. That Sanders charisma.

I think overall everyone did fine to pretty good honestly. Buttigieg took it on the chin all night which was great but he also probably defended himself better than any of the earlier targets (Tulsi dunking on Harris, Biden fumbling for words, Warren being unable to fully defend her healthcare plan) so I doubt his polling takes all that much of a hit (especially considering he isnt doing all that well nationally anyway). If I had to pick a loser it was sadly probably Warren. I dont think she did enough to stop the bleeding and if anything I expect it to get worst in the next polling cycle.

I dont know why Klobuchar hasnt made more inroads with the moderate part of the democratic electorate. She seems leagues better than Biden and Buttigieg and also I like how much shes been dunking on Buttigieg this debate.

Like between her and Biden and Buttigieg I feel like she easily looks like the best candidate and would probably be the only Id trust to hold their own in the debates.

Most likely result is just a repeat of 2016 I think. I doubt he wins any of those others as hed need a ton of flips or a super unenergized democratic base which I just dont see.

I also dont see him losing Michigan or Wisconsin (Pennsylvania Im slightly less certain of) but I think most probable outcome is a repeat of 2016.

The group isn't big enough to threaten Trump's presidency -- there would have to be at least 20 Republicans break with Trump to provide the 67 votes needed to actually remove him from office and no one is predicting that. But if enough peel off they could provide Democrats with the 51 votes needed for key wins, such as to compel witnesses, demand documents and push through other procedural motions Democrats may seek during a trial.

McConnell is working to avoid surprises like that, but short of a reaching a broad agreement in negotiations with Schumer outlining the rules of a trial, he has said the twists and turns of a trial could be decided by 51 votes. Republicans hold a 53-47 seat majority, meaning just four Republicans voting with Democrats could have a major impact.

tl;dr

While peeling off the number of Republican senators to actually impeach Trump is all but impossible, there may be some hope in getting enough to actually force McConnell to do a trail. We would need four. So that could theoretically be attainable. Maybe. Possibly.

As of a couple of days ago,Yougov had the overall conservative majority at like +28. Definitely significant but not overwhelmingly so. Instead they wound up +80 which is huge, and the biggest chunk of those gains came at the expense of labour.

The left just suffered their worst loss in a generation in Britain in what was supposed to be a close vote. A certain amount of hot takes got to be expected here.

I think this has more to do with Corbyn being terrible at his job than anything else but I can guarantee youre going to see them go right as a result of this election. The question is how far will they go.

I think the polls indicate that Biden is the most likely to, for sure.

BUT:
1) He is gaffe prone and this will likely get worst when the spotlight is solely on him
2) He looks, to me, tired and somewhat disinterested in becoming president, and I think Trump will hammer that endlessly
3) Im not even sure hes going to win the primary and I would likely bet the field if I had to
4) I dont particularly like Biden so it is hard to get excited for him

It's funny you say this because Biden has leaped Buttigieg recently for me too. I'm at least fairly confident Biden means the rambling stuff he's saying and I don't know what Buttigieg might flip on next. Plus I'm more confident Biden could somehow beat Trump between those two so if we're getting "similar" policies I'll go for the guy that has like a 40% shot at winning over the dude with a 10% shot.
