I certainly believe the people running Hollywood live in a world so completely different then the average person that they have no idea what is actually good or bad to most people and thus instead make decisions based on statistics and trends, sometimes resulting in insane outcomes (rather then the typical boring ones that results from this behavior) that nobody with common sense would typically make.

The logic here was probably something along the lines of seeing Detective Pikachu make money with their more "realistic", Pokemon art style being a marketing focus (or something similar), then having someone do the same for Sonic and not recognize it was an abomination because they have no idea what Sonic is anyway.

Sure, but even if that happened, it's just putting a band aid on the symptom rather then addressing the core issue.

Such as, why does the education system funnel everyone into college after high school regardless of their economic position or if they are suited to going to college at all, rather then presenting other, more realistic per person career paths as equally viable choices without shame.

And why do colleges usually take all their profits and use almost all of them to make their campus more prestigious, which they then use to justify high tuition prices, rather then expanding the campus to accommodate more students, and thus, have entry be less competitive and allow for lower tuition prices?

The answer to that is obviously one makes more money.

Toga Himiko is a social outcast because her quirk is considered creepy. Her motivations are driven by this.

Toga Himiko popular because she's a cute yandere schoolgirl.

It seemed more like the rebels were against the idea of a totalitarianism government rather then because there was a specific aspect of their lifestyle that was being made miserable by Palpatine's rule.

Generally speaking, you never actually see the average galactic citizen care about who's running the show in Coruscant one way or another.

I mean, the main anime Team Rocket trio were all good people (and Pokemon), it doesn't actually make any logical sense why they chase Ash around to try and catch his Pikachu, it's handwaved away for the sake of comedy..

Even if people learned from the past, which they don't, there will always be people crazier than others.

The CEO of OceanGate was a madman and his billionaire passengers made the incorrection assumption that if they were paying a quarter of a million each for a ticket in his "submarine" then that must mean it was built well and was safe.

Probably also thinking that since he'll be there too, that there was no way he would put himself in a situation where he himself might die.

Because they overlooked that he was a madman.
