I don't watch Fox. These clips are just showing up on my Youtube feed. So you're saying there are no shoplifting gangs in the city and this whole problem is made up? I don't live there so I don't know.

From what I've heard, theft is so rampant that stores are shutting down left and right. And apparently there's zero consequences for shoplifting if the amount of goods stolen is under $1000. The problem seems to only be getting worse. What are people going to do when there are no grocery stores left? How is the city going to survive? Why is this being allowed to happen?

This is why I would never ask a girl out. The risk is incalculable.

There are very few times when asking out someone at their work/that you only know at someone's work is a good idea. Clearly the that trend holds.

It wouldn't even had been a date in the traditional sense. We work next door to one another and I was going to suggest we go on break at the same time. It's not something that would have been a big deal to most, but this was something I never would have seen myself doing in a million years. Of course, I didn't get around to actually asking.

The problem is I feel my life coming to a close. My time is finite. Just to give another example of my history of failure, I spent 10 years of my life writing a trilogy of novels. When I finally went to self publish, I earned $12 for my efforts, for what amounted to thousands of hours of work. I also graduated college and couldn't do anything with my degree. I'm 35 years old. I'm the most socially awkward person you'd ever meet. In spite of that, today I was prepared to ask a girl out for the first time.

This past Tuesday, I went to the restaurant where she works. She wasn't there, which was unusual. Her co-worker told me she was getting photos done. I didn't inquire further, thinking I'll just ask about it next time I see her.

They were wedding photos. Her upcoming trip to Yellowstone she had previously mentioned wasn't a vacation. It's her honeymoon.

For context, my last two years of high school were a living hell. There was a girl I was obsessed with, but never had the courage to speak to. This experience led to me taking Zoloft during my first year of college. Almost 20 years later, I felt like I was making progress, being able to talk to someone I was attracted to, getting to know them on a personal level. But I fell into the trap of thinking I was a main character, that my story arc would have a happy ending. But it turns out I'm not a main character.

And for an extra dose of cruelty, this revelation comes sandwiched right between the wedding anniversaries of my sister and cousin.

I know nobody here cares, but I have no one else to tell. I'm just so tired of being hopeful. I just can't do it anymore. I just have to accept that I wasn't destined to feel happiness.

It was one of those movies that had a perfect blend of cheesiness and campiness and lovable characters. And the score was excellent to. Sequel wasn't too bad either but the third was completely forgettable. Not having Rachel Weisz didn't help either.

Zelda on modern hardware, with a time traveling storyline that offers some complexity. It would be called something like A Link to the Future where you can traverse back and forth between an ancient world and a more technologically advance one. I'm thinking something like Republic City from Legend of Korra. Instead of operating on theme of light/dark, you could influence and shape the world by influencing different lines of ancestry. These would be the sidequests that make up the core part of the game. The modern world and the people who exist in it will depend on the actions you take in the ancient world. Almost like a blend between the quests in Majora's Mask and the time traveling mechanic in Ocarina of Time, but taken to a whole new level.

The rebirth soundtrack in general is absolutely top tier and it better win all the soundtrack awards this year.

EDIT: Gongaga hate has to be because navigation is nonsensical. In every other zone outside of maybe Cosmo Canyon it's easy to navigate from point A to point B by looking at the map and charting a course. Gongaga mushrooms seem variable in terms of how far they launch you and where you land, making it difficult to reliably use the map to tell how to get to any particular point.

This all could have easily been avoided by displaying arrows on the map after you use them, showing where the landing point will be. This mechanic was definitely the low point of an otherwise spectacular area.

Do people really stick the earbud inside their ear canal? How is that even comfortable.

I liked how people regularly sanitized things. I also like how people stopped shaking hands. As a germaphobe, this was probably the only upside to the whole pandemic.

Didn't care too much for the movie. I loved the book though.

Pokemon has the better games, but Digimon excels in everything else. Anime was better, and the monster designs are more interesting.

I find it crazy how new Digimon media is still being made today. I never even hear anyone mention outside of this site. And with how big Pokemon is, it's amazing how it has managed to survive for this long.

I really want to, but like many others, the language barrier is what worries me. I don't want to end up like Big Bird who missed his tour bus and got stuck there. But I guess technology has progressed to the point where that's not such a huge issue anymore.

I've won at least $200 or so between the Competitions Board Contests and from the Game/Character Battle Contests, so I'm pretty sure they're losing when it comes to me.

It's been a while since I've seen it, but I remember enjoying 500 days of Summer. Oh, and Summer of '42 was also pretty good.

I'm pretty confident it's my favorite fruit. Very underrated IMO.

I missed Godzilla Minus One in theaters. I was about to see it, but decided just to wait the two months or whatever until it became available for streaming like every other movie. But no. Not this one. For legal reasons, it's not going to be released anytime soon, digital or physical. I didn't even realize that was a thing for modern cinema. I thought every studio would want to throw their movies on whatever platform to make their money, but apparently that's not the case with this one movie.

Like, why is this even a thing? I want to give a studio my money and I can't. I tell ya, these corporations have only themselves to blame for rampant piracy.

I went into it blind and so far I like it. About half way through. Takes me forever to read books though. They just make me so drowsy, even if I'm enjoying it.

I'm just so disappointed with humanity. We've had thousands of years to get our act together but we still feel the need to kill each other. Imagine the utopia we could be living in if everyone was a decent person.

Depends if they're well-behaved or not.

In the past, I'd quickly say SMW. But recently I've developed a new appreciation for Yoshi's Island. It has a lot more diversity in it's level design and the art direction is superior. I'd also say it's soundtrack is also rather underrated. It's a tough call.

Starcraft 2 does a lot of this. Maps often come with destructible terrain that either opens up new paths or blocks existing ones, so the layout can change over time depending on what each player commits resources to modifying. Starcraft multiplayer maps did this too, but only on community-made maps.

To add to this, I know there's at least one map in the campaign where lava regularly rises and falls, forcing you to be mindful of where you leave your army.

It was the most gorgeous game I've ever played and I'm stunned no one is giving it credit for its aesthetics. Instead people are claiming the graphics are bad? I don't think anyone stopped to appreciate the level of detail in the world. All the buildings and architecture and all the objects that filled them. As someone who dabbled in 3D modeling, I can't fathom how they were able to produce so many assets. As I was playing, I constantly was stopping just to take in everything. It felt like I was going on a vacation with these character. Especially with Costa Del Sol. I think people forgot how old RPGs used to be, with copy/paste buildings with the decor being nothing more than a table and set of chairs.

I just know I was grinning the whole time I was playing it, marveling how they managed to turn the classic PS1 title into a 4K world. I never could have imagined I'd get to see something like this. This is what people were dreaming of and we finally got it and it gets nothing but hate. And I say that as a really harsh critic. I think people need to go back and play Superman 64 to remind themselves what a bad game is really like.

I'm 36 and feel as spry as a teenager. But I eat healthy, don't smoke or do drugs, with only a seldom drink of alcohol.

I got one of those around me. They charge 25 for lunch and 30 something for dinner. And it's actually really good sushi. And they offer other items like fried calamari, crab wontons, salads, and your typical entrees like sesame chicken. It's a really great deal. I go about every other week.
